Now, if all that's not your style as a cinema lover, then a box set is the way to go.

There are so many box sets to choose from and not all of them will contain every movie, so this is where we come in, with the best box sets available for the biggest movie franchises around.

From Marvel to James Bond and from Alien to The Hunger Games, here are the best movie box sets to buy right now.

Our last price check took place on April 22, 2024.

MCU box set deals

There's not a comprehensive MCU box set available to buy yet, most likely because it'll be out of date within months when the next movie is released. However, there are plenty of excellent options for Marvel fans.

Amazon does have an exclusive 4K box set of the entire Infinity Saga, but it's currently only available from third-party sellers at a price well above its original £399.99 price.

So instead, you can buy various box sets of the three different Marvel Phases in the Infinity Saga, with Phase Three split across two box sets.

Phase One: DVD (£22.99) | Blu-ray (£33.91)
Phase Two: DVD (£15.88) | Blu-ray (£38.01)
Phase Three Part One: DVD (£20.69) | Blu-ray (£16.75) | 4K (£33.99)
Phase Three Part Two: DVD (£21.04) | Blu-ray (£29.65) | 4K (£33.20)

Phase Four has yet to be released as a box set, while you can also pick up the four Avengers movies in one box set, which comes with Blu-ray and 4K Ultra HD copies of each movie for £46.26. The Avengers collection is also available on DVD.

Spider-Man box set deals

If the entire MCU isn't of interest, then there's also plenty of choice when it comes to the eight live-action Spider-Man movies and two animated Spider-Verse movies that have been released so far.

You can pick up all five pre-MCU Spider-Man movies in a DVD or Blu-ray box set, which is now £16.50 and £19.78, respectively.

The three Tobey Maguire movies are also available in a standalone 4K box set, or the two Andrew Garfield movies are available in a standalone 4K box set also at discounted prices.

Tom Holland's three solo Spider-Man movies have been combined into a box set available on Blu-ray (£14.99).

As you wait for Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse to arrive, the two Spider-Verse movies are available in a two-movie box set on DVD (£11.99), Blu-ray (£16.99) and 4K (£28.51).

Whatever format you get the box set on, it is missing Solo: A Star Wars Story and Rogue One: A Star Wars Story though, if that factors into your decision to buy it.

Everybody has a favourite Star Wars trilogy too, and they're all available in DVD and Blu-ray box sets:

Batman box set deals

You've got two options when it comes to a collection of Batman movies, as there's not a complete box set available for all live-action outings for the Bat.

Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy is available to buy on DVD (£14.77), Blu-ray (£24.39) and 4K (£31.99), while the first four Batman movies – Batman, Batman Returns, Batman Forever and Batman & Robin – are available in their own box set on DVD (£13.61), Blu-ray (£15.96) and 4K (£47.42).

Batman v Superman, The Batman or other DC Extended Universe outings for Batman won't be found on either of these box sets. There is a five-film DC box set which includes Batman v Superman and Justice League (theatrical version) on DVD for £9.68, but that's as good as it gets.

The best on offer is a five-movie box set that includes Superman (1978) through to Superman Returns (2006). It's currently available on DVD and Blu-ray, both priced at £14.99, on Amazon.

If you want the movies in a 4K box set, the best option is an excellent four-movie Steelbook collection, which has the first four movies, including the Theatrical and Donner Cuts of Superman II.

As a bonus, it also has a Superman '78 #1 collectible comic book.

There isn't currently a 4K box set of all six Alien movies, but you can get the first movie on 4K right now. Aliens is also available now 4K for £24.99.
