POTC: AWE provides the thrilling action scenes, but mixes in too many characters with too many incomprehensible plot threads.

Namrata Joshi Outlook What began as a thrilling and engrossing entertainer ends up as a terribly tedious franchisee -- the convoluted plot leaves you more confused than involved. Rated: 2/4 Jan 25, 2019 Full Review Hank Sartin Time Out Rated: 2/5 Nov 18, 2011 Full Review Joshua Rothkopf Time Out Rated: 1/5 Nov 17, 2011 Full Review Mike Massie Gone With The Twins An epic finale, this overlong, overstuffed film manages to neatly resolve all the loose ends from the previous entry, even if it takes considerable time to do so. Rated: 5/10 Nov 27, 2020 Full Review Joanne Laurier World Socialist Web Site Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End is marginally more coherent than last year's sequel-a very small mercy. It is, however, just as bloated, requiring a level of familiarity with both its predecessors. Sep 2, 2020 Full Review Micheal Compton Bowling Green Daily News At World's End is nearly three hours long, so it does feel a little padded, but for the most part the film moves at a reasonable pace - even if it almost stumbles to the finish while trying to tie up all the loose ends. Peter P There are a lot forced, bad things but the good things in this movie makes it so that it doesn't matter. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 05/06/24 Full Review Mr. G Der in meinen Augen gelungene Abschluss einer guten Trilogie. Trotz der Manko ist es ein gelungener Abschluss einer Piraten Trilogie Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/08/24 Full Review Markus L Even though it is longer than the first two movies, it still justifies it's run times, with a good pacing and a really good story. The cast is likable and Davy Jones is a really good villain (that I forgot to talk about in my "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest" review), whose CGI still holds up today. It's a lot more weird, but IMO it pays off. The twists and turns are great and the ending leaves you really satisfied. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/06/24 Full Review Raven M Funny and entertaining The cgi is good. The cast works well with one another at it shows . Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 03/29/24 Full Review Alysha S A better subtitle for this film would be "At Weird's End." It's really silly. It also doesn't have enough of Jack Sparrow. Also note that a special effects designer themselves literally put a kitchen sink into the final, big battle. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 03/02/24 Full Review Soteris S One of the most thrilling and fascinating movies of all time, with a brilliant plot, hilarious humor and superb action scenes. It was wholesome conclusion to this epic trilogy. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/22/24 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
