Richard is not kidding, recently replaced my 4MWB reissue with this copy, and it sounds SO GOOD. Its so well mixed and mastered its almost like listening to a different album and this is one of my faves, a Top 5 record for me for sure so I've heard it hundreds of times. You will absolutely notice things that you haven't before. This pressing sounds INSANE! There is no comparison between this and the 2019 release. I thought that one sounded pretty good--and it does--but once you hear this pressing, forget about it. There's a tremendous amount of ENERGY here that's greatly diminished elsewhere, particularly the CDs. The guitar sound really scratchy. The low end is large and in charge.
This is an honest-to-god audiophile level pressing.

It's not as bad as some 4MWBs. It's got decent bottom end, but as mentioned previously, some harsh trebly sibilance. Makes any song with repeated open high hats -like Spend, Spend, Spend- rough listening. Probably digital sourcing. But it's otherwise clear and loud. If you see it used for 20 or so, do it.

Cheeky original catchy-weird reggae influenced post-punk/alt-rock fronted by female German-accented acerbic vocals over short melodic sassy-as-fuck dub-fused punkified songs. Throw in the provocative album cover photo & you have a band that’s the definition of girl power in the late '70s.
Exuberant & uncompromising fun.
This is the one to buy, best sounding unless you can find an original pressing of the vinyl.
Mastering, pressing, sleeve all quality. Plan to replace the inner sleeve as it is tight…there is a joke there I suppose. No hype sticker or mp3 with the 2023 version.

My version is numbered ILPS 9573 (i) which isn't listed above, the (i) that is. And on the record itself it is (a). Does anyone know if that has any bearing on which record this is specifically? Is that common? I've just started adding my collection so was wondering.
It has "Dread at the control" etched into it too. Bam.
