"Boy or girl?"

Congratulations are in order for Neighbours star Matt Wilson and his wife Jessica, who have announced that they are expecting their second child together.

Posting the news on Instagram, Matt shared a picture of the baby scan alongside the caption: "A new addition to our retirement package. Boy or girl? @jessicaleewilson1."

"Congratulations," Borg (who played Curtis Perkins) commented, while Mason (who portrayed Chris Pappas) wrote: "Congrats mate!"

Matt and Jessica welcomed their first child together last year and tied the knot in a secret wedding ceremony back in 2019.

The actor is best known for playing Aaron Brennan on the Ramsay Street soap, and featured in a historical TV moment when his character married David Tanaka (Takaya Honda), marking the first same-sex marriage to appear on Australian TV.

Last month, Neighbours story editor Shane Isheev revealed that a scene featuring the fan-favourite couple in bed together for the first time was "cut short" for the soap's UK airing.

Sharing a fan's tweet of screenshots from the scene, Isheev tweeted: "I can confirm this was for you and the many others who requested... I can also confirm the scene was cut short in the UK.

"Here’s hoping it's shown in full in Australia because the version I saw was pretty raunchy."

Neighbours has now come to an end, but catch-up episodes are available via My 5 (UK) and 10 Play (Australia).
