T. S. Garp (Robin Williams) is brought up by an eccentric, proto-feminist single mother (Glenn Close) who, inspired by his fledgling efforts as a writer, writes a book that makes her a controversial celebrity, and he must learn to deal with horrific pain, the spectre of death, and heartbreak while yet affirming life. Stellar performances by John Lithgow and Mary Beth Hurt. Jessica Tandy, Hume Cronyn, Swoosie Kurtz, and Amanda Plummer also appear.
Watched this film tonight for the first time since I saw it in the theatre in 1982, and let me tell you what a difference forty-one years make! Have never read John Irving's novel, but seeing the feminist and gender craziness in the film in light of today's makes me think I should.

Subject:
18.4 gb mp4 file?
What the heck? It was a decent movie yes, but to make it nearly 20gb for a single mp4 file seems a bit excessive! IA will render a much smaller version in a few days and maybe I'll look at that one.
Update on previous comment 10/25/2023:
I see now why you made that comment on my page. And like I said, internet archive has created a smaller file for you, well under 1 gb. So if you're trying to create smaller video files then I suggest using Handbrake. It's free, it's fairly straightforward and easy to use and it produces good results.
Now on another subject, I also highly recommend Jesus Christ for your eternal salvation! Have faith in Him, learn about Him and keep His words and you will never be disappointed, I absolutely guarantee that! If you want more information on that try and contact me in the reviews here or somewhere, I'll be glad to share the faith I have in Him with you!
