Robyn Dixon Exiting The Real Housewives of Potomac After 8 Seasons: ‘I Was Fired’
Original cast member Robyn Dixon is leaving The Real Housewives of Potomac after eight seasons on the show, but the decision was far from her own.
The reality TV personality confirmed the news on Monday’s episode of her podcast Reasonably Shady, saying she was “fired” by the network.
“Yes, I will not be returning to Season 9 of The Real Housewives of Potomac,” she said on the podcast she co-hosts with RHOP co-star Gizelle Bryant. “It’s reality. The network did not invite me back. I was fired, for lack of better words. I will not sugarcoat the situation and say, ‘Oh, I am walking away and this is a break’ or anything like this. This is a network decision.”
She continued: “I’m OK with it because nothing lasts forever. I’ve had a very long run on the show, and I just really appreciate that time and the opportunity that I had on the show.”
A source tells TVLine that although Dixon wasn’t picked up for Season 9, there’s always a chance she could return down the line.
Dixon was one of the original cast members of the Potomac show, which premiered in January 2016. She co-starred in Season 1 alongside Bryant, Ashley Darby, Karen Huger, Charrisse Jackson-Jordan and Katie Rost.
She ended her remarks with gratitude for the fans who’ve been watching her “from Day 1.”
“I do want to especially thank all of the fans and viewers who have supported me, showed loved to me,” she said. “Whether you directly sent me love or you prayed for me or you have positive energy or positive thoughts around me, I appreciate you. And I hope I inspired you the viewers, the fans, to live your life authentically. To not feel pressure to change for anyone, or impress people, and just to be yourself.”
In related news, Candiace Dillard Bassett also recently announced that she’s leaving RHOP after six years. Her journey on the Bravo series began in Season 3.

Big Mistake Bravo! They should have fired the woman that wouldn’t move forward with the other ladies (Candiace, Wendy) I just can’t imagine her not on the show, her and Gizelle are like a duo. Season 9 is going to look and feel very different.
At least Candiace was funny.
I enjoyed Candiace, but we already know she is gone, she is a big loss as well, but as far as Wendy, they only one she likes and talks to is Karen, and that doesn’t work.
lol Robyn deliberately obfuscated her real life last season, told people about it behind her own paywall, then refused to move forward with cast members this season who called her out for it…JUST like you claim others didn’t. but she deserves to stay? no. Candiace already announced she is leaving. Gizelle and Robyn have made this show toxic. They both need to go.
They do need to shakeup the cast. And I don’t think her “I don’t care” attitude helped her out at all.

It’s about time… Robyn has contributed little to nothing for years. The toxicity that Robyn, Gizelle, and Ashley brought to the show has ultimately ruined the franchise. This current season proves that the cast isn’t sustainable given how fractured the dynamic is. The show needs a soft reboot a la Miami if it stands any chance of thriving again. I anticipate more exits coming.
Robyn should have been fired after last season. Deliberately ignoring/not showing what was going on in your life when you are on a show for exactly that, no thanks!

Her personal life was the only one creating drama compared to the other ladies
So Juan Dixon is a sports figure which is possibly why she was limited in her exposing too details. Not all husband’s want that attention
I wish it was Wendy who was leaving. She’s very unwilling to accept her faults and thinks she’s better than everyone because she has higher education.
Robyn you will be missed because you were humble, natural, beautiful, down to earth and real. The green eyed bandits will be back together again once production realizes what a mistake it made.
I definitely won’t miss her (or Juan). It’ll be much more fun to see Gizelle without her key ally. Now please fire Ashley! She gives us nothing.
Her tag line this season makes 0 sense. “I just took a DNA test & turns out I don’t care”?? Huh?? Girl bye!
