    Westonka Celebrates the Graduating Class of 2024

    Amid pomp and circumstance, Mound Westonka High School honored the 191 members of the 2024 graduating class May 29 at an outdoor ceremony on Haddorff Field. The Class of 2024 enthusiastically accepted diplomas in front of family, friends, teachers, and school staff on a perfect summer-like evening.

    MWHS Student Senate Ready to Lead Next Year

    The 2024-25 Mound Westonka High School Student Senate was elected and officially assumed their new positions last week. School-wide elections were held May 22 with 50 students across four grades vying for a position on next year’s Student Senate.

    Westonka Students Participate in Memorial Day Service

    Westonka students took time to honor and remember our nation’s fallen soldiers by participating in the community Memorial Day service at the Gillespie Center on May 27. The Mound Westonka High School band performed several patriotic numbers, uniformed students from the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts were on hand, and student readers shared essays they had written.

    "As superintendent of Westonka Public Schools, it’s my privilege and honor to recognize and celebrate this year’s class of graduating seniors, along with your parents and families. Throughout your time in Westonka, the Class of 2024 stood out as being a highly motivated, goal-oriented group. Individually and collectively, you have demonstrated resilience in the face of challenges, determination in pursuit of your goals, and a commitment to excellence in everything you do. Your wide-ranging achievements stand as a testament to your hard work and talents, and your plans after high school show your commitment and drive.     Mound Westonka High School’s spring production of “Footloose” was recognized for its accomplishments in high school theater by the Hennepin Theatre Trust as a participant in the Spotlight Education program.
