Ciara makes her directorial debut in the school-spirited official video for her single “Dose,” released today (Oct. 26). It follows the singer’s “Dose” Pep Rally video, which was released on Oct. 22.
After taking to the streets of Atlanta, Ga. for a real-life pep rally, Ciara translated that energy into this second “Dose” video. The video is Ciara’s love letter to Atlanta, and even includes an appearance from the city’s mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms.
“Dose” takes place in a high school gymnasium, as Ciara steps forward to command an over-the-top pep rally of impressive dancers and marching band performers. The singer, 33, doesn’t miss a beat as she dances a fiercely choreographed number meant to mimic the style of marching band majorettes.
In the video, Ciara is accompanied by New Orleans Brass Band, as well as a few notable dancers in their own right. With a goal in mind to celebrate groundbreaking women, Ciara recruited dance sensations like NOLA, Supa Tyb, Queen P and even 9-year-old phenomenon Jaylah Johnson.
“Dose” follows Ciara’s recent single “Level Up,” as she works on releasing her upcoming album.
