Childish Gambino: Full List of US Tour Venues

Childish Gambino, the musical project of actor, writer and director Donald Glover, has announced a tour of North America, Europe and Australasia, dubbed the 'New World Tour'.

The world tour will support the re-released and re-imagined version of his 2020 Childish Gambino album, 3.15.20, now titled ATAVISTA.

When Does the Tour Start and When Can I Buy Tickets?

The tour will begin in August and will mark the first time that Donald Glover has gone on tour since his This Is America tour, which ended in 2019. The tour will include support acts Willow and Amaarae.

Donald Glover announced the re-release of ATAVISTA in a post on Instagram earlier this week. He described the album as "the finished version of '3.15.20'." The 11-song album includes features from Ariana Grande, 21 Savage, and Summer Walker. He also added that there is a "special vinyl" which will be available soon.

He then teased the release of a new record, writing that, "the all new childish gambino [sic] album comes out in the summer". While he hasn't announced the date of the album release, fans will likely be able to hear some of these new songs at the shows on the New World Tour.

Presale will begin on Wednesday, May 15 at 10:00am local time while the general sale is set to begin on Friday, May 17 at 10:00am local time, and will be available via Ticketmaster.

Where is Childish Gambino Playing?

The tour will stop off at 30 U.S. cities, including two nights in Brooklyn and two nights in Los Angeles, with further stops in Atlanta, Chicago, Houston and San Francisco.

How Have Fans Reacted?

One user commented on the announcement of the tour saying "Donald Take My Money," while another user commented on the post about the release of ATAVISTA saying "people going 2 really see the potential 3.15.20 had."

But other fans were disappointed by the tour announcement, feeling as though countries had been left of the list, with one user commenting, "ohh yes "world tour" which is only America and like 6 European countries" and another writing, "I don't think world means what you think it means."

There was also criticism about the re-released ATAVISTA record. One user commented on the post saying that "Why is the original version 100x better. Changing the mix on everything was the wrong move."

What's Next?

Donald Glover has been teasing his retirement from the music industry for years. According to Billboard, back in 2018 when he was last on tour as Childish Gambino, Donald Glover told fans at a show in Madison Square Garden that that tour was his "last ever show."

That has turned out not to be the case, leading fans to speculate if this will in fact be his last tour, or if he will keep going.
