His characters, as is now his norm, are plastic puppets, even in the confectionary love scenes. Most of their dialogue is so doughy that it could be spooned into comic-strip balloons. Lucas simply has no interest in these people.

The Jar Jar Binks character continues to detract from otherwise average movie. Lots of action, but the characters were not developed particularly well. One of the few films in the franchise that I never watched in its entirety again. Adds a different nuance to, “I can’t wait for the next one…!” Best forgotten.

I really think this improves upon the previous entry. Besides some cringe inducing dialogue, and some ugly special effects, I can honestly say that I think the storytelling is pretty decent here, and more of what I’d want to see in a prequel trilogy.

This movie doesn't stick it's landing after the Phantom Menace at least showed glimpses of good. Attack of the Clones has some weird pacing issues, I understand we have to show scenes of Padme and Anakin falling in love, but it completely distracts from the other 5 plots we gave going on. Anakin's resistance to jedi teachings, Obi-Wan's conflict of teaching him and then him trying to discover the republics secret plan, assassination of Padme, etc. The movie just missteps in a few places with odd dialogue and poorly acted.
