The oft-used phrase Bahala Na can be translated into English as: Come what may. What happens will happen.

In the 1970s I received a tattoo on the Island of Luzon. It was done in the “tapped in” style using a thorn in a stick. When it was completed the guy who did it “Sonny E” said to me “Bahala Na.” This tattoo is a source of pride for me, as it was earned! Not bought. Bahala Na indeed!
