Register/Update to Vote
You should update your voter registration by the deadline if any of the following apply:
- You recently moved to a new address
- Your name has been legally changed
- You would like to change your political party affiliation
After you have successfully updated your information, you will receive a new voter registration card in the mail from your County Recorder’s office within 4-6 weeks. You can also find information about your voter registration by logging into my.arizona.vote.
Register/Update Online
If you have an Arizona Driver’s License and/or an Arizona non-operating identification card issued by the Motor Vehicle Division (MVD) you may register to vote through ServiceArizona EZ Voter Registration.
- Log on to www.ServiceArizona.com
- Select your language preference, then click “Begin/Update Voter Registration”
- Verify your voter eligibility
- Enter your information in the required fields
- Verify address information
- Select your party preference
- Respond to the question about the Active Early Voting List (AEVL)
- Respond to the question about the Publicity Pamphlet
- Review your information and if everything is accurate click “Register to Vote”
- Keep the confirmation page as your voter registration receipt

If you are having trouble logging in to the ServiceArizona website, you can print a [Voter Registration Form] and fill it in with your information. After you finish, mail your completed form to your County Recorder’s office.
Register/Update by Mail
Voter registration forms are available online, or you can request that a voter registration form be mailed to you from your County Recorder. After completing the form, mail it to your County Recorder’s office.
Register/Update In-Person
You may visit your local County Recorder’s Office and fill out a voter registration form in-person.

¡Sí! If you have an Arizona driver license or non-operating identification card issued after October 1, 1996, you will need only to provide the license number on box 9 of the voter registration form.
If you do not have an Arizona license you may include a photocopy of one of the following documents:
- A legible photocopy of a birth certificate that verifies citizenship and supporting legal documentation (i.e. marriage certificate) if the name on the birth certificate is not the same as your current legal name
- A legible photocopy of the pertinent pages of your passport
- Presentation to the County Recorder of U.S. naturalization documents or fill in your Alien Registration Number in box 11
- Your Indian Census Number, Bureau of Indian Affairs Card Number, Tribal Treaty Card Number, or Tribal Enrollment Number in box 10
- A legible photocopy of your Tribal Certificate of Indian Blood or Tribal or Bureau of Indian Affairs Affidavit of Birth.
An early ballot may be requested through our new Voter Information Portal or by contacting your County Recorder’s Office. To have your name placed on the Permanent Early Voter List (PEVL), complete a new voter registration form and check the box marked “YES, I want to automatically receive an early ballot for each election for which I am eligible.” Or you can log in to Service Arizona and complete this request online.

The deadline to update your voter registration or register to vote in an upcoming election is midnight on the 29th day before the election. Yes! Arizona has an open primary law which allows any voter who is registered as independent to cast a ballot for one of the officially recognized political parties in State Primary Elections. Independent voters on the Permanent Early Voting List (PEVL) will receive a postcard in the mail asking them to choose which party ballot they wish to receive for the Primary Election. The corresponding primary ballot will then be sent by mail to the voter to complete approximately 27 days prior to the election. Independent voters who go to the polls on Election Day will be given the option to choose a party ballot at that time.
Note: This DOES NOT apply to the Presidential Preference Election. Voters must be registered with a recognized party to vote in the Presidential Preference Election.
There are multiple ways for the courts to build their list of eligible jurors and voter registration is just one of them. If you have received an Arizona driver license or non-operating ID card your name has been added to the list of eligible jurors in Arizona.
A resident is an individual who has an actual physical presence in the state and the intent to remain in the state. A temporary absence does not result in a loss of residence if the individual intends to return.
The county will mail out proof of registration 4 - 6 weeks after the registration form is received.
