Summary

  • The Bachelor season 28 finale has an unprecedented ending.
  • Daisy Kent self-eliminates before Joey Graziadei breaks up with her.
  • Joey gets engaged to Kelsey Anderson, and they're still together.

The Bachelor season 28 finale will air on Monday, March 25, and there are many spoilers about Joey Graziadei's final decision and that unprecedented ending that's been teased since the beginning of the season. Joey, a 28-year-old tennis pro from Collegeville, Pennsylvania, began his Bachelor journey with 32 women. After weeks of one-on-one and group dates, hometowns and overnight Fantasy Suites, Joey has narrowed down his group to just two women: Kelsey Anderson, a 25-year-old junior project manager currently living in New Orleans, Louisiana, and Daisy Kent, an account executive from Becker, Minnesota.

Throughout The Bachelor season 28, there has been much speculation about what happened to Joey at the end of his season, ever since the premiere episode began with him crying on the last day of filming. Some believed that he chose Daisy, while others insisted that he got engaged to Kelsey. Others speculated that Joey left the show alone, which was his greatest fear. Because the ending has been called "unprecedented," some thought that perhaps one or both of the women self-eliminated. Here are all of the spoilers for The Bachelor season 28.

The Bachelor Season 28’s Unprecedented Ending Explained

The Bachelor season 28 truly does end in a way that has never happened before. According to Reality Steve, after Daisy's last date with Joey, she realized that he wasn't going to choose her. Daisy went to Kelsey's room and basically told her that it wasn't her, and she was going to tell Joey that the next day. Reality Steve added that Daisy's conversation with Kelsey was straightforward and supportive. It's shocking that Daisy told Kelsey she was Joey's choice before Joey did.

This interaction between Daisy and Kelsey is unprecedented because once the final two Bachelor women are determined, they never interact with each other again during filming. Therefore, Reality Steve believes that Daisy either asked the producers to speak to Kelsey, or the producers wanted to have a first for the franchise. With all of the hype surrounding Joey's finale, it's clear that the producers jumped on the chance to frame the entire season around this never-before-seen Bachelor ending.

Although there has been some speculation that Daisy didn't show up to the final rose ceremony, she actually did. Daisy told Joey exactly what she told Kelsey, and broke up with Joey before he had the chance to tell her that he didn't choose her. Reality Steve believes that the conversation was positive.

In an Instagram post, Reality Steve wrote that, although he couldn't know the exact wording of the conversation, he got the idea that it was a "very gracious concession" by Daisy. She told Joey that she knew that he was in love with Kelsey and wished them happiness. It would be shocking if Daisy, who's been so sweet the whole season, reacted angrily to her realization. The reason that Joey was so upset in the previews, crying and walking away, is because he needed to take a breather because he didn't expect Daisy to tell him that.

The Bachelor season 28 "Women Tell All" episode was a wild ride full of drama, emotion, and humor. Here are the ten best moments from the show.

Joey Graziadei Gets Engaged To Kelsey Anderson

This means that Joey chose Kelsey, and they got engaged. Reality Steve had originally reported that Joey chose Daisy, but, according to him, thanks to the detective work of a fan who goes by "sandbetweenhertoes," the truth was revealed. Joey and Kelsey seemed to have posted on their social media accounts from the same house, indicating that they were at one of the Bachelor safe houses where the engaged couple spends "Happy Couple Weekends" in secret before their relationship is revealed during the finale.

Instagram account Bachelornation.Scoop posted a series of photographs that Joey and Kelsey shared separately on their social media accounts. The pictures show interior and exterior shots of what appears to be the same house in all of their separate posts, which seem to prove that Kelsey and Joey were both there, although they didn't post any photos together for obvious reasons. The evidence is too strong to ignore.

Joey & Kelsey Are Still Together & Engaged

Reality Steve reported that Joey and Kelsey are still together and engaged. They have been since filming ended. Some people speculated that Joey might've changed his mind from Daisy to Kelsey somewhere along the way, but he got engaged to Kelsey during the finale, and they've been engaged ever since. The "After the Final Rose" hour of The Bachelor finale will give the official update about Joey and Kelsey's relationship and future plans.

Kelsey was the first Bachelor woman to say, "I love you," to Joey. Their relationship has grown stronger and deeper with every passing week, from their two one-on-one dates to her successful hometown date. Her father, Mark, was so happy to see his daughter so happy that he even said that he hoped that she came home engaged to Joey.

Joey and Kelsey's overnight Fantasy Suite date was also beautiful. Their breakfast the next morning proved that their relationship had moved beyond the fantasy world of The Bachelor. Instead, they seemed like a real-life couple, cooking, kidding, and kissing in the kitchen.

The Bachelor season 28 leading man Joey Graziadei has chosen his final two women, which means that he had to say another difficult goodbye.

Will Daisy Kent Be The Next Bachelorette?

In his Instagram post, Reality Steve also addressed the rumors that have persisted about Daisy. He said that Daisy hasn't gotten back together with her ex-boyfriend, and she's certainly not engaged to him. He speculated that the Bachelorette producers would "absolutely want" Daisy to be their next lead, noting that she has one of the biggest social media followings of all of the Bachelor season 28 women.

In addition, Reality Steve pointed out that Daisy's story about losing her hearing due to Lyme disease and getting a cochlear implant has resonated with many people, and it would be great to see the deaf community represented on The Bachelorette. Reality Steve said that Daisy makes the most sense to be the next Bachelorette "from a TV production standpoint," but he didn't know if she'd want to do it. Many Bachelor runners-up have taken on the role in the past, so it would make sense for the producers to choose Daisy as the next Bachelorette lead if she wants to do it.

Joey is one of the best Bachelors in the show's history. He's kind, caring, and sensitive. He's been very respectful of the women, and has been a trusted confidante for their very personal stories. Hopefully, he and Kelsey will experience the happily ever after that they deserve, and Daisy will find the love that she's been searching for as well. The Bachelor season 28 finale is certain to be a roller coaster of emotions, and will probably truly be the most dramatic ever.

The Bachelor season 28 finale airs Monday, March 25 at 8 p.m. EDT.
