Defender Max Alleyne picked up his first minutes of 2024 and ‘enjoyed’ getting some game time under his belt in City’s 2-0 win over West Bromwich Albion.

The Joie Stadium played host to our final Premier League 2 clash of the 2023/24 season. Goals from Kane Taylor and Micah Hamilton helped City secure a second successive win with one game left to play of the campaign.

And after being sidelined through an injury since December, Alleyne picked up just over 20 minutes of match minutes and looked comfortable in aiding City’s clean sheet.

“I didn’t know what it was going to be like,” Alleyne admitted when asked about what his return to a matchday squad was like.

“But I really enjoyed it! And it’s just good to be with the boys again.

“I think the win is really important for us to build off of and look forward with because it’s been a bit of a rough season but to get these few wins and hopefully one more win in the last game of the season will be really good for us.”
