Neither has confirmed if he met Kardashian while still in a relationship with Craig.

A source confirmed that Kardashian and Thompson were casually dating to PEOPLE that month. "It's unclear for now if it's going to turn [into] anything super serious, but for now, they're having a good time together," the source added.

October 2016: Khloé Kardashian and Tristan Thompson spend time together in Cleveland, Mexico and L.A.

It didn't take long until casually dating became something more serious. "Khloé has been spending a lot of time in Cleveland with Tristan," a source told PEOPLE. Kardashian and Thompson took their time announcing the pregnancy to the world, waiting until December to confirm the news. She's here! The reality star welcomed her first child, a baby girl named True, with boyfriend Tristan Thompson on April 12, multiple sources confirmed to PEOPLE, a few days after cheating allegations against Thompson surfaced.

"Khloé labored with [mom Kris Jenner] yesterday at the hospital. Tristan was there for the birth," a Keeping Up with the Kardashians insider told PEOPLE. "He has practice today but will spend as much time at the hospital as possible."

As fall began, though, Thompson moved back to Cleveland for his NBA season, while Kardashian and True stayed behind in Los Angeles. Sources told PEOPLE that their relationship was "up in the air," though they reunited to spend Halloween together as a family.

February 2019: Tristan Thompson faces allegations he cheated on Khloé Kardashian again

Another cheating scandal put Kardashian and Thompson at odds again. TMZ reported that Thompson cheated on Kardashian with Kylie Jenner's best friend and longtime Kardashian family friend Jordyn Woods.

Within an hour of the reports, Thompson tweeted, "FAKE NEWS" to seemingly deny what happened, but then deleted the tweet shortly after. After the story broke, a source told PEOPLE, "The whole family is furious."

March 1, 2019: Jordyn Woods denies sleeping with Tristan Thompson and says she "would never" hurt Khloé Kardashian

On March 1, Woods appeared on family friend Jada Pinkett Smith's Red Table Talk to set the record straight. She admitted to hanging out with Thompson and a group of friends at the basketball player's house following a night out at a club, and said he briefly kissed her as she left in the early hours of the morning.

"I'm no home wrecker," Woods said. "I would never try to hurt someone's home, especially someone that I love. And someone that I've seen — has a beautiful daughter. I never was trying to steal someone's man."

When Smith asked Woods if she slept with Thompson, Woods vehemently denied the accusation. "Never a thought, never a consideration, never happened, never will I," she said. "And that's why I'm willing to be put up to the test. Attach me to a lie detector, whatever it is."

March 1, 2019: Khloé Kardashian accuses Jordyn Woods of breaking up her relationship with Tristan Thompson

In the wake of the Woods interview, Kardashian tweeted angrily about the situation.

"Why are you lying @jordynwoods ?? If you're going to try and save yourself by going public, INSTEAD OF CALLING ME PRIVATELY TO APOLOGIZE FIRST, at least be HONEST about your story. BTW, You ARE the reason my family broke up!" Kardashian wrote.

The reality star quickly followed up with a second tweet, calling out the NBA player for his role in the scandal.

"Tristan is equally to blame but Tristan is the father of my child," she tweeted. "Regardless of what he does to me I won't do that to my daughter. He has been addressing this situation PRIVATELY. If Tristan were to lie publicly about what conspired, then yes I would address him publicly as well."

One day later, she softened her stance on Woods. "This has been an awful week & I know everyone is sick of hearing about it all (as am I). I'm a rollercoaster of emotions & have said things I shouldn't have," she wrote. "Honestly, Tristan cheating on me & humiliating me, wasn't such a shock as the first time."

After staying out of the spotlight for a while, Woods was seen in public, though the future of her friendship with best friend Kylie Jenner still remains unclear.

June 2, 2019: Khloé Kardashian says she and Tristan Thompson are "working through things"

Kardashian opened up to her best friend, Malika Haqq, on a June 2019 episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians about how Thompson's cheating "demolished" their relationship.

"Are you still in love?" Haqq asked during her trip to Cleveland to visit Kardashian.

"I am in love," Kardashian said. "I know I love him. But still, I'm not going to act like nothing's wrong."

"Don't you want that change?" Haqq asked.

"Totally. But I'm not going to force that," Kardashian said. "He counts — 'It's been seven months.' I'm like, 'So it's been seven months.' I'm allowed to do things when I want to do it. But he also needs to know: 'Your one stupid weekend or whatever you did, look what it did to three years of a relationship. It just demolished it. So was that worth it for you?'"

The conversation ended with Kardashian saying that she and Thompson were still "working through things." Haqq reminded her of how she's endured situations "people couldn't even fathom," to which Kardashian responded, "I know. Cheers to being strong girls."

June 23, 2019: Khloé Kardashian says Tristan Thompson threatened to kill himself over cheating scandal

On another June episode of KUWTK, the drama unfolded for the cameras.

"For Jordyn to know all I've been through with Tristan — literally, my heart is in my eyeballs," Kardashian said. "She's blaming him. She's like, 'I was so naive.' They're both wrong."

"From the moment this story broke about Jordyn and Tristan, at first, nobody even believed that it was real," sister Kim said. "I just feel so bad for Khloé. Jordyn was someone that Khloé really trusted and believed in and supported and employed and all of the above. This is just so crazy."

Thompson, ultimately, confirmed the rumors and then continued to text Kardashian apologies — at one point even threatening to kill himself, she said.

"It's disgusting," Kardashian, who admitted she'd been suffering from migraines and nausea due to stress, added. "I'll never understand the depths of this … I was just hoping for a better outcome for my daughter and for myself."

July 31, 2019: Tristan Thompson addresses rumors he cheated on his previous girlfriend with Khloé Kardashian

Thompson addressed rumors he cheated on Jordan Craig, the mother of his son, while she was pregnant.

The NBA player was denying the rumors that he was vacationing with Craig and his son this summer when he asserted, "Also, when I met Khloé I was SINGLE. The negative comments that are constantly being directed towards her are unnecessary. She does not deserve all this backlash for my wrong doings. Both Khloè and Jordan have been nothing but great mothers to my kids."

Sept. 8, 2019: Khloé Kardashian and Tristan Thompson have first public reunion since Jordyn Woods cheating scandal

The Keeping Up with the Kardashians season 17 premiere took fans inside Kardashian and Thompson's first public reunion since he cheated on her with Jordyn Woods in February. Kardashian was conflicted about whether or not she should invite Thompson to True's first birthday party, but she ultimately decided to let him come. She invited him over the night before so they could "get the whole initial weird first seeing each other out of the way in private," but things were still tense when he showed up to the party.

Kardashian did her best to remain civil and even suggested they take a family photo. But beyond her and Thompson, her biggest concern was how her ex would interact with her sister Kim, who has been the most outspoken critic of the relationship.

"This situation, it's a little awkward," Kardashian said. "Everyone is staring at us, and I'm really concerned, a little uncomfortable, about Kim and Tristan's dynamic."

As it turns out, Thompson ended up having a confrontation with Kim's husband, Kanye West.

West later explained that Thompson was upset about the fact that the family used the intro to West's song "Runaway" in a KUWTK teaser. (The lyrics reference toasting to "a--holes" and "scumbags.")

"He felt like we were using my music to reinforce his narrative," West said.

Following True's first birthday, the ex-couple maintained their distance, and Kardashian put all her efforts into being great co-parents with Thompson. But boundaries started to get muddled once Thompson surprised Kardashian with a diamond necklace and a diamond promise ring for her 35th birthday.

"I am conflicted as to if I should keep it or not. I just really want to make sure there are no expectations," she said during a new December 2019 episode of KUWTK after calling Thompson to thank him. "If I keep something, is that misleading? It's the sweetest, kindest gesture, but it doesn't mean a necklace is going to fix everything."

Regarding the ring, Kardashian decided not to keep it to prevent any confusion about their relationship.

"I was like, I really appreciate it, but I don't think I can accept it," she continued. "This is a beautiful new you that I'm seeing; I just don't want there to be any blurred lines or for you to think anything."

Dec. 5, 2019: Khloé Kardashian addresses critics of her relationship status with Tristan Thompson

After the episode, fans started to slam Kardashian for being friendly with Tristan while not appearing to show the same kindness with Jordyn Woods. (The former couple split earlier this year after Thompson kissed family friend Woods.)

Kardashian decided to address her critics in two lengthy posts on her Instagram story, which expressed how she doesn't "hold any negative or hateful feelings towards ANYONE!"

Kardashian shared that despite her tumultuous year, "My life won't be consumed with hate."

"I've chosen to occupy my life with positivity. Everyday I choose to find the good in my day. To choose this daily doesn't mean I don't have bad days, but my good days are so much better than my bad ones. We are all human and make mistakes, myself included. Hate is heavy, and I am tired of carrying all of that weight around," she added.

Dec. 6, 2019: Jordyn Woods takes a lie detector test over allegations that she broke up Khloé Kardashian and Tristan Thompson

As if December wasn't hectic enough, Jordyn Woods decided to take a lie detector test to clear the air regarding what happened between her and Thompson. A clip of the two-hour-long test aired on Red Table Talk, where it was revealed that Woods had "passed with flying colors," according to host Jada Pinkett Smith.

Shortly after, Kardashian shared a cryptic quote about "liars" to her Instagram Story, which said, "Liars are always ready to take oaths."

Despite all of the back and forth, Kardashian has maintained her status with Thompson as just co-parents.

"Tristan is very charming and sweet to Khloé," a source told PEOPLE. "She always wanted to keep her family together because of True. Splitting from Tristan in the past was extremely difficult for her. She is flattered that he is trying to win her back, but not flattered enough to be in a romantic relationship with him."

December 24, 2019: Tristian Thompson attends the Kardashian Christmas Eve party with Khloé Kardashian in attendance

To close out the year, Thompson attended the annual Kardashian Christmas Eve party, which was hosted at Kourtney Kardashian's home this year. While Khloé and Thompson weren't photographed together, it was clear that both were in attendance.

Thompson reposted an Instagram Story of a portrait he took while at the holiday party — the bottom of the photo reads "Portraits of the Kardashian West Jenner Christmas Celebration by The Collective You." In the photo, the Cleveland Cavaliers player looks dapper while posing in a dark suit with a white undershirt and bracelets.

Meanwhile, Khloé posted multiple photos and videos to her Instagram throughout the night.

In one clip, the reality star showed off her singing skills with sisters Kim and Kylie as chart-topping artist Sia performed at the party.

February 2020: Khloé Kardashian and Tristan Thompson are "getting along great" but not back together

One year after the Jordyn and Tristan cheating scandal first broke, a source told PEOPLE that Kardashian and Thompson are still not back together, but they're "getting along great."

"This is not really anything that Khloé talks about now. It happened a year ago, it was rough, but she has moved on," the source said. "She has worked hard to move past all of the negativity."

"Her whole focus is now on co-parenting with Tristan. She doesn't care about anything else," the source continued. "She just wants True to feel loved and have both parents in her life."

And despite any rumors of a reconciliation — or Thompson's numerous attempts to win her back — their relationship isn't romantic.

"Khloé and Tristan are not back together," the source added. "This is not anything that Khloé is interested in. But they are getting along great."

July–August 2020: Khloé Kardashian and Tristan Thompson are "giving their relationship another try"

On July 1, a source told PEOPLE the two were "giving their relationship another try" amid the coronavirus pandemic.

"Tristan is working hard to prove himself and has been a great dad to True," the source added of their 2-year-old daughter.

Kardashian and Thompson's decision to rekindle their romance came after the Revenge Body star rang in her 36th birthday the weekend prior. The NBA player was in attendance, along with their daughter and Kardashian's siblings Rob, Kourtney, Kendall and Kylie Jenner, as well as mom Kris Jenner.

A second source told PEOPLE that Kardashian and Thompson "acted like they were back together" at her birthday bash.

"The lockdown made them closer," another source said. "They hadn't spent this much time together since they lived in Cleveland. They have had an amazing spring with True in L.A."

Ahead of her birthday festivities, Thompson shared a heartfelt tribute to Kardashian on Instagram, posting an adorable picture of himself and the reality star with their baby girl.

"I'm wise enough now to know you came into my life to show me just what it means to be an incredible person," Thompson captioned his post. "I appreciate how I am able to learn from and grow because of you."

Thompson added, "I thank God for the beautiful and loving woman you are to everyone, especially our daughter True. You deserve the world Koko! True and I love you mama. Happy Birthday @khloekardashian ❤️🥳."

Kim commented on the post, telling Thompson that his words were "so beyond sweet ✨."

By August, a source told PEOPLE the two were "together."

"She loves having him around. He has the best relationship with True," the source said. "And he has been amazing to Khloé too. They are very much together, and Khloé is beyond happy. They have been living in kind of a bubble, and Khloé enjoys it."

August 2020: Khloé Kardashian and Tristan Thompson go house shopping in L.A.

Since the couple has decided to get back together, a source told PEOPLE that they've been looking at homes together in Los Angeles.

"Despite Khloé trying to keep their relationship more private, she is very much with Tristan. And she is incredibly happy," the source said. "They are looking for a house together in L.A. to start fresh."

In July, Thompson put his $8.5 million Los Angeles home on the market. Kardashian listed her Calabasas property, asking $18.95 million, in May.

"In the past few months, Tristan has really shown Khloé that he has changed. He is an amazing dad and partner," the source added of the pair. "Khloé was always hoping that Tristan would come around. It's been very important for her to keep her family together for True's sake."

Months later, Thompson signed a deal with the NBA's Boston Celtics, and Kardashian joined him on the East Coast for a date night and "early Christmas."

March 13, 2021: Khloé Kardashian celebrates Tristan Thompson's 30th birthday

The pair appeared to still be very much together on Thompson's 30th birthday, with Kardashian posting photos from what appeared to be an intimate gathering on March 13. Her family also shared sweet tributes to the basketball star on social media.

"The ones that are meant to be are the ones who go through everything that is designed to tear them apart, and they came out even stronger than they were before," Kardashian wrote alongside several images of the family of three spending time together.

"Thank you for showing me everything you said you would. For the father you are. For the best friend I have in you," she continued. "I'm thankful that I can do absolutely nothing with you, and it feels like everything. I hope you know today and every day how loved you are by me and so many."

May 2021: Khloé Kardashian discusses having another baby with Tristan Thompson via surrogacy

During the final season of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, the star opened up about her difficult fertility journey and how she considered possibly using a surrogate to have a second child with Thompson.

"A few months ago, Tristan and I made embryos, and during that time I was also told that I would not be smart if I carried my second pregnancy, I would be high risk and to explore surrogacy options, so Tristan and I have decided that's what we're going to do. I have a surrogate agent who is, you know, sort of filtering through who they think might be the best fit for me and my family," Kardashian explained in her confessional.

"It is a big commitment, and you want to find the right fit, but we got this new chapter, we've got this together, we're a team," added Thompson.

June 2021: Khloé Kardashian threatens legal action against woman who claims to have had a baby with Tristan Thompson

Kardashian threatened to take legal action against a woman claiming that Thompson had fathered a child with her. In a cease and desist letter obtained by PEOPLE, Kardashian's attorney, Lynda B. Goldman of Lavely & Singer Professional Corporation, demanded that Kimberly Alexander "immediately stop harassing and defaming" the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star.

The request came after Alexander allegedly fabricated direct messages from Kardashian.

Goldman claimed that even after Alexander admitted to faking the DMs from Kardashian, she "continued to make outrageous defamatory smears about Khloé, harassing her and trying to drag her into the paternity drama that you have persisted in contriving."

The attorney said that these actions occurred despite "a DNA test from one of the nation's top labs" that "confirmed that Mr. Thompson is not the father of your child," the document stated.

Alexander did not immediately respond to PEOPLE's request for comment.

June 20, 2021: Khloé Kardashian speaks more about having a second child with Tristan Thompson

During the Keeping Up with the Kardashians reunion special, Kardashian opened up more about her "challenging" journey to surrogacy in hopes of welcoming a second child with Thompson.

Explaining that the process was complicated due to COVID-19, the Good American co-founder told Andy Cohen she secured a surrogate that unfortunately "fell through."

"I did have one, and then it fell through. There's so many tests they have to do and all these things," she explained. "So I'm still on that journey. It's just, I thought it would be a much easier process. And it's not. It's challenging for me."

June 20, 2021: Khloé Kardashian and Tristan Thompson split after celebrating Father's Day

The couple spent Father's Day together with their 3-year-old daughter True in Los Angeles, a source told PEOPLE.

"Tristan is back in L.A. to celebrate Father's Day with Khloé and True. He spent a lot of time away from L.A. during the [basketball] season," the source explained, adding that "Khloé is happy to have him back."

"She and Tristan are good. They are planning some summer vacations together," the source continued. "They also still talk about giving True a sibling."

Thompson shared a few snaps from his Father's Day celebration over the weekend with pics of himself posing with son Prince, whom he shares with ex Jordan Craig, and True.

But two days later, a source told PEOPLE Kardashian and Thompson had split again.

"They are not together right now," the source said. "The ups and downs with Tristan were always very frustrating for Khloé. She has worked so hard to trust Tristan."

A second source told PEOPLE the pair "are trying to be on good terms," adding, "Khloé will do what's best for True."

Reps for Kardashian and Thompson have not responded to PEOPLE's request for comment.

According to TMZ and the New York Post's Page Six, which first reported the split, the couple split a few weeks ago, after Instagram model Sydney Chase claimed in April that she slept with Thompson in the fall while he was with Kardashian. (Thompson's lawyer denied the allegations at the time, according to TMZ.)

The news of the split also comes on the heels of a Daily Mail report that Thompson was seen partying with multiple women in Los Angeles the weekend prior.

June 2021: Khloé Kardashian "is done" with Tristan Thompson after latest split

After they split, a source told PEOPLE that the reality star wasn't looking back as she moved on from the NBA player.

"She doesn't ever want to be in this position again," the source said of how Kardashian was feeling after Thompson was seen partying with multiple women in Los Angeles. "She is done falling for Tristan's empty promises."

Days later, despite the distance, the power forward celebrated Kardashian with an affectionate Instagram tribute for her 37th birthday.

July 2021: Khloé Kardashian and Tristan Thompson continue to amicably co-parent True

Though they parted ways romantically, a source told PEOPLE in July that Kardashian and Thompson maintained an amicable relationship, as their top priority was co-parenting True.

"Khloé is doing okay. True will always be her first priority, and, ultimately, she's focused on a healthy family for her daughter, so Tristan will always be a part of Khloé's life," a source said of the Keeping Up with the Kardashians alum.

"She's not one to dwell on the past — she has an incredible capacity to find the positive in every situation," the source said. "And she and Tristan are still very much in touch and are great co-parents to True."

Things seemed friendly between the exes in October when Kardashian commented on an adorable photo the basketball pro posted of their daughter True and his son Prince, whom he shares with ex Jordan Craig.

"Let me love you a little more, before you are not so little anymore #MyEverything❤️❤️," Thompson captioned the Instagram. In the pair of pics, the brother and sister posed side-by-side at an arcade, with True looking affectionately at her sibling in the second shot.

Dec. 6, 2021: Khloé Kardashian learns Tristan Thompson is expecting his third child with another woman

In December, news broke that Thompson had another baby on the way: Texas personal trainer Maralee Nichols was due to welcome his child before the new year.

Court documents obtained by PEOPLE show that Nichols is suing the NBA player for child support and other pregnancy-related fees. According to the docket, the Sacramento Kings star admitted to having sex with the personal trainer on at least one occasion.

Thompson's rep did not immediately PEOPLE's request for comment.

Responding to the report, a source told PEOPLE that Kardashian was feeling frustrated and "knows about the baby."

According to the insider, Kardashian and Thompson were together in March when Nichols claimed she was involved with the athlete.

"Khloé was upset to find out that he cheated again," the source said. "She just can't believe that he is going to be a dad again."

January 3, 2022: Tristan Thompson addresses Khloé Kardashian as he confirms that he fathered Maralee Nichols's son

Thompson said paternity results revealed that he is the father of Maralee Nichols' son and confirmed the news on Instagram on Jan. 3.

"Today, paternity test results reveal that I fathered a child with Maralee Nichols. I take full responsibility for my actions. Now that paternity has been established, I look forward to amicably raising our son," he began his lengthy statement.

"I sincerely apologize to everyone I've hurt or disappointed throughout this ordeal both publicly and privately," he continued.

Thompson had previously disputed the paternity of the child, born on Dec. 1.

In his message, Thompson also addressed ex Khloé Kardashian — whom he was dating when Nichols said the child was conceived.

Jan. 3, 2022: Maralee Nichols reacts to Tristan Thompson's confirmation of paternity

Maralee Nichols shared her thoughts after Thompson admitted that he fathered her child. In a statement to PEOPLE, a rep for the new mom said, "There was never any doubt that Tristan Thompson was the father of Maralee Nichol's baby."

"Tristan made numerous false and defamatory statements and declarations about Maralee over the past few months, and she is taking his contrite statement today in the context of all of those statements," they continued.

July 13, 2022: Khloé Kardashian confirms she is having a second child with Tristan Thompson via surrogate

On July 13, a rep for Kardashian told PEOPLE that she and Thompson were expecting another child together via surrogate.

"Khloé is incredibly grateful to the extraordinary surrogate for such a beautiful blessing. We'd like to ask for kindness and privacy so that Khloé can focus on her family."

A source told PEOPLE that despite the pair expecting a sibling for True, "Khloé and Tristan are not back together and have not spoken since December outside of co-parenting matters."

In the season 2 premiere of The Kardashians, Kardashian welcomed her son via surrogate. The mom of two was joined by her sister Kim, who drove Kardashian to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles for the delivery in July.

In a confessional, the Revenge Body with Khloé Kardashian star said, "I am so grateful. It's such a beautiful gift that we're able to have."

Kardashian marked Thompson's birthday with a sweet Instagram post.
