- Shannon NTemecula, CA21 contributionsSmooth process, quick ride. I highly recommend upgrading to the Commodore Lounge. You get to board before the standard ticket holders and you are located on the upper-indoor deck. The chairs are plus, and you get a free drink and snack.
Arrive 1-hour prior to departure and get in line (round trip)... whether you are in the Commodore or standard seating.
Parking at Long Beach is close to the boat terminal. About $20 a day to park.
The ride one-way is about 70 minutes. In April we saw a pod of about 100 dolphins, and it was magical!Written April 11, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The entrance of the Queen Mary was only a 5-minute walk from the cruise exit, so we decided to spend our time there. We hesitated because of the cost (approximately $45 each), but we ended up spending 4 hours there, and they were busy hours!
We bought the tickets at the booth, and they had a luggage hold for our suitcases right behind the ticket area (so nice!). You are given a map of the ship and free rein to explore the ship, the hotel, the museum-like exhibits, etc. And when it is time for your 1-hour guided tour (depending on which one you choose) you just show up at the tour meeting spot. There were maybe 20 people on the Glory Days Tour we took, and we were told some stories and taken into to some rooms that are typically locked. The tour was fine, but we really enjoyed visiting the exhibits on our own. There are some parts on the ship map that are harder to get to, but they were the most interesting parts so don’t give up on your navigation!
There is a lot of walking involved, stairs, and things to step over or into (on some floors), so someone with mobility issues might have some obstacles in accessing all the areas.Written May 10, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Easy to find parking at that time and we enjoyed it. Ran into some of the Chads and Beckys who live in this expensive neighborhood, and they seemed to be very welcoming and friendly.Written January 11, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Sammie-Jo69North West England, UK524 contributionsNice to walk around - a good variety of shops and restaurants, though quite a few of the restaurants are pricey and some of the shops look like the type of place where you might struggle to get a refund after a few days... but nice to browseWritten July 17, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. All provide a different slice of history. Rancho Los Cerritos is a large adobe home built in 1844 and restored in the 1930s. We reserved a tour ahead of time and that's the way to get the best tour. Our excellent docent took us room by room explaining how each was originally used when a ranch and later when the family returned in the 1930s. He incorporated the history of the area, told stories about the sequence of owners, the development of the surrounding area, and the architectural history of the additions, improvements, and gardens. It is a well-preserved gem worth a visit. There is a gift shop and rest rooms in the visitors center.Written October 2, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Cosmos MarinerKenai, AK371 contributionsWhat a pleasant small setting. A great blue heron landed and fished in the pond and humming birds abounded. Lovely blossoms were drifting like a gentle snow beautifully landing on some of the greenery. Plenty of places to be present, contemplate, and be. Tip: Have low expectations as it is a small space, well worth the visit. Tip: Great place for a book to bring.Written February 14, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- TofurryRenton, WA1,069 contributionsWe took our little dogs to this dog beach to join my sister who brought her standard poodle. While her dog loved to play catch, jumping into the water to get the ball, our dogs did not want anything to do with getting wet. They were ok with walking in the sand though.
The beach isn't the cleanest but dogs don't care about that? The other beach we have gone to (Seal Beach) doesn't allow dogs on the beach. Parking is cheap in the lot. I believe we paid 50 cents for the 1/2 hr we were there.Written April 15, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
