Recorded partly in the States and partly here in the UK, here's 1950s instrumental icon D.Eddy Esq mixing it with some members of music's royalty, or call them the new Rebels if you like, or even a Supergroup if you'd prefer -- namely Ry Cooder, James Burton, Steve Cropper, George Harrison, Paul McCartney, Jim Horn, Jim Keltner, John Fogaty and not least, Jeff Lynne. Together they ended up with 10 superb tracks which were sold to and released by Capitol Records. But thanks to EMI's Special Markets in 1996 it found it's way onto See For Miles in the UK. That company has, I believe, stopped trading, thus making any surviving copies, mainly used of course, that are still around highly priced collector's items, so I believe I got my copy for a song. A really recommended effort from the creator of the 'Twangy' guitar, who was executive producer also, a devotee who is now in his 80s but still twanging when ever and where ever he can.
OK, the 'rarity' of this CD has caused dealers to take the michael and overcharge.
However the music is pretty good 'Duane' and he has collaborated with some interesting folk of the time (1987), like Ry Cooder, Steve Cropper, George Harrison to name a few and comes up trumps wih 10 great tunes (no bummers!).

Duane's best album full of deep twanging characters and helped along with other twangers such as George Harrison, Ry Cooder and electronic wizards Art of Noise. Of all Eddy albums this is the most exciting and shows him in all his different styles. Tracks such as 'The Trembler' and 'Kicking Asphalt' hark back to the earlier days while 'Spies'and 'Los Companeros' adds a new listening experience.Although these tracks standout there is not a single number on the album that doesn't satisfy those of us who enjoy a great twangy guitar sound. Recorded back in 1987 it still sounds new and has become a classic in its own right. Come on Duane lets have more music like this!
