One of the reasons I ship them is because I think it could be slightly cannon, like if Lucifer and Adam were friends and one of them (I think Adam is likely to be the one with a one-sided crush) caught feelings while the other was just completely oblivious, or if they both caught feelings but had a falling out (hehe falling) and Lucifer ended up falling in love with Lilith and becoming romantically involved with her instead.
