‘Varsity Blues’ Parent May Recoup Seized $1 Million From the US

John Wilson, a private equity executive who paid the ringleader of the Varsity Blues scheme $1 million to get his children into Ivy League schools that was allegedly used as a tax-deductible donation, may reclaim his money, a federal court said.
