    Awesome museum
The museum is laid out very well and doesn't need to be done in a certain order to enjoy. If the TV/film section is crowded, move on to another room and then loop back. I enjoyed the TV and film clips from Johnny's career - I didn't realize he had done so much. The artifacts were amazing. Like the stone wall that came from his house in TN and the letters he sent to his sister and his original bible. So many mementos perfectly preserved for the future to enjoy. Watching the Hurt video was very touching and I was glad it was part of the tour.
    Thank you for your recommendation!

    Good for Johnny Cash fans
Interesting and interactive. We enjoyed the videos and history. They fit a lot into a relatively small museum, but it’s close to Broadway and space is definitely at a premium. It was expensive though, I would have valued it at around $15 per person.

    Very Crowded!!!
This museum was so crowded, it made the experience unenjoyable. At some points, the line just didn’t move and you couldn’t go around people. Thinking timed tickets may be better. The displays and museum layout is good, but due to the crowds, I felt like I missed seeing some things and didn’t enjoy what I saw - shoulder to shoulder with strangers wasn’t what I expected.

    Take time to visit
Amazing place to be if you like Johnny Cash. Tells his history and that is something you would not want to miss. Gift shop is small but has a lot of interesting articles. When in Nashville make this place one of your stops.
    Thank you for your recommendation!

    Nice place to visit
We really enjoyed our visit to the Johnny Cash Museum. We spent just over an hour looking at all the memorabilia. Great opportunity to listen to music, read interesting facts, and see short films.
Thanks for joining us! We are glad you enjoyed your visit.

    Great Tribute Museum
We visited the Johnny Cash Museum for a couple of hours while exploring downtown Nashville. I knew relatively little about Johnny Cash so the museum was very informative. They had a large number of items from his life and music. Many of the exhibits were interactive allowing you to dig deeper if you liked. A couple of rooms had videos and music playing. It was a fantastic museum which has helped me have a greater appreciation for Johnny Cash’s music.

If you love Cash, it’s worth the cash
There was a lot of good info here but the presentation seemed a bit haphazard- it was pretty crowded. Most of the exhibits had small font to read and in a crowd that was difficult. I love Johnny Cash so I’m glad I went, but don’t expect to be wowed at this museum.

Was never much of a Cash fan, but throughly enjoyed all this museum has to offer!
You can’t believe all the memorabilia this museum has gathered to tell his life story! Simply amazing. I was never much of a Cash fan years ago but this has made me a believer. Soooo much to see and learn about his life and music! A MUST see if you’re in town.
Thank you for your kind feedback and recommendation!

Been wanting to go see this museum
Well I learned so much about The Man in Black. I was impressed with the museum. Great job of sharing every aspect of Cash's life. Learned that he was a pretty acclaimed actor. Of course his music is classic and his talent was incredible. I had a great time here.
We are so glad you enjoyed your experience!

Enjoyed this more than I expected, there are interactive activities with the sound mixers and music playback. Also you can sit and watch recordings from concerts, definitely worth a visit.

Fantastic overview of the life and career of Johnny Cash! Small, but thorough. Worth your time. I’ve taken several friends there.

We recently completed a tour of the US and visited a number of Country Music attractions on US23 amongst others so while we were in Nashville we thought we’d pay a visit to the Johnny Cash museum.
We both like his music but we’re not avid fans and my Knowledge of the man in black is based on ‘Walk the Line’, Ken Burn’s ‘Country Music’ on PBS and a few other documentary’s, magazine articles etc.
So for our $54 entrance fee each I was expecting something special, but unfortunately it was very disappointing, even with our limited knowledge we were both familiar with the majority of the stuff in there.
To be honest I think it’s way overpriced and not worth bothering with.

This museum was really thought out and creatively designed. Every area of his life is represented. The price was really worth it and the staff were very friendly. I really loved all the different listening stations, very cool. Highly recommend this for anyone who loved JC.

This is enjoyable, even for a moderate Johnny Cash fan. We used it to slow down the drinking for a couple of hours. He was in a lot more acting roles than I expected. One of the more interesting things you learn. Definitely see it

I did not know much about Johnny Cash before visiting. I purchased a ticket in advance and arrived when the museum opened and had no trouble getting in. The exhibits were very informative and entertaining- high recommend. That said, as someone who is not a huge fan of his music, it took me about 30 minutes to see everything and move on.

I really expected more out of the museum.
However - as the offspring of an avid Johnny Cash fan, I was very familiar with much of the content but hoped to learn more.

Not worthy of the Man in Black. I got the feeling the museum has not been there all that long. The staff restricts the number of people allowed in the museum at one time, and for a good reason. Very cramped. A good collection of memorabilia. The staff was personable and eager to engage visitors. For some reason, there was scant attention paid to the Johnny Cash: American albums from the later years, some of his best work. It is well worth a visit, but I felt let down a bit. With a couple of tweaks and a bigger space, this could be one of the best attractions in Nashville.

Thanks for your feedback! We've been operating for eleven years now; officially endorsed by the Cash estate and named USA Today's #1 Music Museum in the US for the second year in a row. We appreciate you taking the time to visit and tour and are so glad to hear you enjoyed your interaction with staff!
