Saving grace was a decent steak, nicely cooked. Table service was very poor. I won’t go into detail unless invited to do so by the establishment as I am doubtful they are interested. Great venue with great potential but suspect leadership needs addressing.

I had an excellent experience, and stellar attentive service from Kemar and Mickel. They were knowledgeable, helpful, friendly and added beautifully to my overall experience. Will definitely come again with more friends!

Having booked our table on OpenTable for 2 people at 4.30pm, we arrived to be told that the kitchen would be closing at 5pm, so we had to order quickly. (There was no mention anywhere, either on OpenTable or Google that the restaurant closed at 5pm). The only waitress was giving her undivided attention to the only other table in the restaurant, ignoring us completely. So, at 4.45pm fearing we wouldn't be served in time, we got up and left. Very, very poor management and service. I won't rush back, and I certainly won't recommend this place. I'm sure the food is good, but we never got the opportunity to try it.

As usual I had a very nice experience - the staff were polite and efficient. I came back for the pizza which was not up to par- the flatbread was soft and not crispy.

We waited and waited and waited. After explaining to the supervisor on duty our issue of not getting our flatbread pizza order he shrugged his shoulders and giggled. I was Infuriated by his lack of concern for the fact we had been waiting for 1 hour and 30 mins without getting our lunch order, we left. When we were paying for our drinks he acted nonchalant and uninterested and I had to explain to him that this is where he needed to apologise for the fact that he , the kitchen , the staff the entire experience was unacceptable. He did not care at all . We arrived on time for our reservation . was seated within 5 mins and as we were on holiday we waited to get the attention of our waiter to order. We placed our wine and food order. The waiter attempted to deliver 2 alternative bottles before she got our order right. She was apologetic and we found it comical ny the final attempt. After waiting for 30 mins she came back to check on what we had originally ordered half an hour ago. After an hour she came to let us know they were having difficulty in the kitchen and that our order would be out in about 5 mins. We waited an additional half hour, Nothing. It was SO disapointing that they did not even attempt to apologise and we eventually got up to pay for our wine and leave to try to go to another restaurant. When she got her supervisor the gentleman proceeded to shrug his shoulders and giggled almost as if he did not care if we left or stayed. Wont ever be returning

I visited this restaurant 6 times during the month of march and they were 100% each we had a visit to confirm that everything was excellent. On this visit our last day in Barbados we had a waitress who sat us down and forgot us we then got our food after waiting an an extended length of time and then she left and never came when I asked another waitress for they found her and then we asked for a takeaway box for our leftovers and again she disappeared I had to find someone to get me a bill to bad also no one came around and asked how everything went

Our experience couldn’t have been better. Service was prompt, friendly, solicitous. Our food, chicken Pillared and pizza were great. Upon leaving we had a bit of trouble getting a cab bit all was well. We’d love to go back with no reservation, but probably a little earlier, before sunset, because it seemed a very pretty setting.

We ate at Deia Beach Restaurant twice. Our order was Catch of the day (Snapper) and Chicken Fettuccine for the first visit. On our second visit we had Genoa pizza. The food was excellent and the pizza was a generous size. Staff were very friendly and attentive.

Vibes were immaculate, service was incredible. Near the end of the day, it took a bit to receive drinks but I think there was a staffing issue that happened. Get the Cajun potato salad!

We ate here on Sunday 10th, first visit and it was excellent, service was great, bit slow but it’s Barbados so that's expected and really no issue for us, the staff were well organised, attentive and helpful. Food was superb. Couldn’t fault this visit, enjoyed it so much we decided to visit on the following Wednesday and our experience was completely different. Plenty of staff but nobody really had a clue what was going on. Our waiter took our order at 7:50pm, drinks arrived as did the starters, then, once finished, we sat for about 25minutes with empty glasses and plates, nobody came over, our waiter was stood at the till, the other staff floating about by the bar, where we were sat it was impossible to catch anybody’s eye, eventually a hostess saw us, came over and asked us if we were ok, took another drinks order, 15 minutes later no drinks and no waiter, the same hostess could see we were getting agitated and spoke to our waiter. He appeared and apologised profusely saying he had been busy with a large table (6 people) that had arrived about 30min earlier. Bearing in mind this was his only other table. Then he asked if we were ready to order our mains, which we had ordered when we placed our starters, we had actually had a conversation with him about it as we originally wanted pizza but they didn’t have any. Exasperated we paid for the 2 drinks and starters we had consumed (the second drinks order never appeared) and left, hungry and saddened as the first visit had been so great. Lots of young staff who obviously had nobody in charge to organise, with so few tables in there should have been no issues given the amount of staff available but it was a calamity from start to finish. Food was excellent though.

Two couples had lunch here to celebrate our DHs birthdays. Michaela, the lovely lady at the reception and Alex our server were superb. We shared the Meze Platter, and the mains were 1 pizza (shared by 2) 1 catch of the day and 1 Tuna Poke bowl. All meals came out quite quickly, were well presented and all of us were very impressed with the quality of the food. We would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Casual dining vibe with a terrific Mediterranean inspired lunch menu. My guest and I enjoyed the catch of the day and an authentic pitcher of rum punch! Definitely would go again.

I have dined at Deia Beach several times since they opened and my experiences have always been inconsistent - sometimes okay in terms of food and service but often sub-standard. I don't usually spend time completing these surveys but yesterday's experience was so poor that I felt I must. I met a friend there for a late lunch around 2:45 pm which I had booked online earlier. It was her first time to Deia; she will never go back. 1. I had requested a table on the boardwalk, one was not available so we waited for one just inside to be cleaned - no real problem here but I asked the hostess if we could move if one became free and she said that would depend if she "caught it" - not exactly sure what she meant but an inappropriate reply. 2. We ordered a bottle of still water; 10 minutes later I had to go and find someone to get the water. 3. We ordered poke bowls, one without sushi rice, I asked for a substitute like more seaweed salad, I was told that the poke doesn't have seaweed - really?? I asked to confirm we were getting tuna, the waiter said no, mahi mahi, we said ok. The poke bowls arrived with tuna and he said, you got tuna. Worse tuna I have ever tasted,full of the skin and hard to chew. 4. The waiter said "enjoy" and moved off after delivering our food; BUT we had no cutlery so I got up and took the cutlery from a nearby table. 5. We ordered 2 oat cappucinos - worse coffee I have ever tasted - surely was instant coffee although after the waiter asked us if it wasn't good, he confimed it was "beans". He also didn't know what we meant by instant coffee so we explained 'out of bottle like Nescafe". 6. Waiter brought the bill, asked if we were giving a tip - INAPPROPRIATE!, I said there's 12% included, he said "I won't get that", we didn't respond. Very disappointing to say the least and very embarrassing since Deia was my suggestion to my friend who had never been.

Outstanding food and wonderful setting. We could use the gorgeous pool and facilities as we had booked for lunch - bonus! Slow service but we were chilled and everyone was so welcoming and friendly! Would highly recommend Deia and will certainly return. Thanks to the team ❤️

Deia Beach Restaurant is an example of not being able to get everything right which justifies the overall low rating. Dinning is a multi part experience with food being only one component and here Deia did a great job. Regrettably the service was so bad that I shuddered to think this was the same restaurant. How you could get the food so right and the service so bad is beyond me and regrettably reflects on the lack of training or lack of management supervision. So go for the great food but do not expect anything approaching good service - as it will not be forthcoming.

We ate here 3 times for dinner during our week stay in a nearby hotel.. the food is excellent ( I had the lobster tail with linguine twice.. the arugula and pear salad, my husband the steak , the 1/2 lb burger and the flatbread pizza ) The ambiance is lovely .. the surf is 30 yards away with beautiful white sand .. the servers are friendly, attentive and professional.. the chef is amazing .. this restaurant is a gem !!

Very poor service. There was a Valentine's set meal, so with limited dishes and simplicity in the kitchen, it should have run like clockwork. The restaurant wasn't full, and there were plenty of staff members, it just seemed like there was no organisation. I would not recommend and not return. The complete lack of management with the floor staff let the kitchen down.

It was Valentine's night so the menu was fixed with 2 choices for each course and a fixed price. One would imagine that would make it easier in the kitchen but it still took nearly an hour to get our starters and almost another hour to receive our main course - when questioned the waitress admitted that our mains had been given to another table by mistake! The food when it did come was tasty (although the choice was limited as stated above) but the whole experience was spoiled by the terrible service. There seemed to be large numbers of staff milling around and they were very pleasant young people but there appeared to be no direction or anyone in overall charge. At one point I counted 6 people behind the bar in the corner getting drinks ready to take out to tables but the restaurant was only half full at this point and our wine still took ages to come. When we came to pay the bill we said that we had been very disappointed with the service and they immediately knocked 20% off the bill without our suggesting it so they obviously appreciated that they had fallen short of what was expected. Such a shame really because it is a lovely setting and was next door to our hotel the Bourgainvillea so they have a ready clientele. At these prices however you have to offer people good service or at least get the basics right.

They took advantage of Valentine's Day to increase the prices and it was much too expensive for the quality of the meal. In addition we were served desert, even before we had finished the main meal. We felt ourselves being pushed quickly towards the exit... very ordinary

Pasta was overcooked but tasted good. Cinnamon roll dough tasted bready, but good nonetheless. Great service.

Ambience was nice. Service started out impressive but drastically dropped as the night progressed. Staff was pleasant, friendly and well mannered but we were forgotten about. Over $50 for a burger and fries to get ice cold fries is very poor, to almost finishing your food then to receive a lemonade (taste like it was made from the powdered lemon mix) you ordered to get with you food. They have some areas to work on.
