Attractive building - but somehow it doesnt fit in to the old part of town. Wort a visit even for the interior, terace with panoramic view of the castle and there are always exhibitions and other events. You have to eave your bag in the basement gardarobe - prepare some change for the lockers /1 or 2 eur, but other coins might work as well

It’s a nice art museum with some interesting collections. I especially like the exhibition about the socialist society and the competitive nature of humans. If you go to the top of the building you could also see a panoramic view of the town.

If there was information in English about the objects included into the exhibition, I would try to understand them at least. In my opinion everything looks strange. Modern Art Museum with regularly changing exhibitions. Definitely worth a visit. It also hosts a museum shop and a coffee bar, serving from cold drinks to cocktails a wide variety of temptations, much longer open than the museum itself.

Well the outside of the building is unique and by far the best feature of this attraction. For $11 euro it was very sad. 3 rooms art that was far from art in our opinion. 1 room was pictures taken from inside a car in California. Highly unrecomended. Pic attached for ref of 1 room you'll get to see. The entire experience lasted maybe 15min. Safe your money go buy a Lebeekais semel.

I only saw it externally. It is certainly an interesting structure because I think it is literally impossible to find a similar structure in other cities but in my opinion it is a bit out of tune with the rest of the city! I did try to take in the modern art, unfortunately one of the two exhibitions was closed, the other (main) exhibition contained an ytong wall, a chair and a brass sculpture of a half-peeled orange. The orange looked pretty cool, but if you are planning to visit as a tourist, I recommend you save some money and go look at walls elsewhere.

A very nice building, inside we see large exhibition areas. Interesting contemporary artists. Perfect for adults who are into the arts! This museum is also suitable for children, but learn that the exhibitions are designed for adults and they are not easy for children to understand. But this was carefully foreseen and made for children a playful conceptual room in which there are stencils and puppets.

I went to the Kastner & Öhler today, having a fashion adviser for the first time. My fashion adviser Miss Schrank was very professional and friendly, asked questions to find out exactly what I like and need, even when I couldn't articulate it well. She then came back with multiple pieces for me to try, and in the end I had trouble deciding what to take because she found so many things that fitted me perfectly. I went home very happy with some new clothes and am looking forward to coming here again when I need something special for a special occasion.

This is a great place to shop. However, in my reviews, where I feel like it’s relevant, I like to consider special aspects. In this case I want to highlight a matter of cultural consciousness. For context, Graz has a historically prized roof pattern. This business has decided to renovate their building at the center of Graz and promised to adjust the new roof to blend in. Now 10 years later there is no sign of coming through on that promise. The roof has a barren, metal tint. As a born citizen of this city this place is dear to me. The fact that a regional business consciously decided to disrupt the cultural heritage of its city is jarring to me, and quite frankly in my opinion it constitutes a sign of cultural ignorance and disrespect to anyone living here. To me this is 1-Star stuff. Apart from that, you can get everything from suits and clothing over cosmetics and perfume to sunglasses and bags here. There is even a really nice cafe on the last floor.

Mid December, advent is in full swing, the town is buzzing with people, it's decorated and lit up so tastefully. Every opening between buildings is a home to a Christmas market. Unlike many places I've seen around Europe everyone is happy, there is a really nice vibe to this place. It's very clean, haven't seen a single homeless person, nothing dodgy or suspicious. It's a very very nice place and well worth a visit

The whole city has a lively atmosphere. It's clean, everything is taken care of, it's amazing for me to encounter this kind of city management. There are no big distances between sights, it's easy to access everything on foot. I found that many people eat out in the evenings, so making reservations can be key to successfully find a place to sit. Totally worth to spend 2-3 days at least.

Best 5 months of my life, this city is hard to beat in terms of livability. It is so bikeable, the lifestyle is laid back, and the city itself is charming.

One of the major Catholic churches in Graz. Situated near the terminal station of tramway line 1, just up the hill. Widely seen because of its exposed site. Definitely worth a visit.

Imposing cathedral that impresses not only through sheer size but also through the very detailed and ornate baroque interior. Located on a hill and accessible via a flight of a few hundred steps makes the whole experience even greater, you have a nice view from the top as well. The church can easily be reached by the no. 1 bus from the city center and is free to enter. The facade has been fully renovated and at the time of my visit they were putting the finishing touches on revamping works for the interior, it looks amazing.

Worth visiting, it is really beautiful both from the inside and outside. If you are lucky to come at the right time, you might even hear a piece on the pipe organ, which is to say the least spectacular. Definitely put it on your to-see list

Thou the clock tower itself is not so intersting the view from here is amazing over the city of Graz. Not to bad walk to get here. I recommend to take the road on the east side going up to the tower and the the use the stairs on the south west to get down. Don't miss the restaurant on top to get some refreshments before heading back down.

If you want to have a spectacular view of Graz, you must go up here. You can climb the stairs ( 10 minutes ) or you can go the long way on the left of the stairs and admire the view of the entire city(15-20 min walk). It’a a must to go up and admire the view ❤️

On a snowy day it's simply wonderful, but I'm pretty confident that this place is beautiful under any weather condition. The walk to get up the hill is not that long and I suggest going on foot rather than taking the elevator (it's NOT free of charge). The atmosphere was simply perfect. DON'T MISS THIS PLACE

Iconic, must-see! If you google Graz, this is basically the first a few pictures you will see! In a way it represents Graz! I loved it so much that I came up twice within the same day (also took the slide down which was so much fun)! And no doubt that you get the best view of the old town. Classic! Also, don't miss the Schlossberg Museum just a few meters away (see my reviews there, definitely worth it!)

You can reach the clock tower from several sides, by foot from northeast side, by elevator from down or by foot on the stairs from west side. We choosed this, the longer way because of the view and we weren't disappointed. The view is beautiful to Graz, it's worth going up to admire it anytime. You can enter to the clock tower, one guard was there, entrance is free. Unfortunately a huge storm came on that time, when we were there and we had to hurry down from the hill, but the view was amazing and next day in the morning we went back. We definitely recommend to visit this place if you're in Graz.

It’s most visited site in Graz you have hike approximate 700 steps when you reached a mountain. You can see the 360 view of Graz city . It’s very beautiful location take with some drinks so you can enjoy on the top.

The Uhrturm is a must see if you visit Graz! I suggest you take 1 day transport card (6,4 Euro) and use the funicular to get to the Uhrturm. There is also a lift right below the turm, but up and down is 4,4 euros, so the tunnels make sense only.if you want to use the spiral attraction. Or just Walmart the tunnels to see the preparation of keeping around 50.000 people.under shelter in case of possible bombarding during WWII. The whole city feels in your hands and the city map just above the scene helps you to grasp the structure of the city and you feel you know the whole city afterwards. Below the Uhrturm is a nice souvenir store.

This was a great tour. The people at reception were very helpful with information about this museum and others. The armory has a wide variety of historic weapons and armor. It was really interesting to see the vast quantity and variety of artifacts. Give yourself some time to walk slowly if you want to read all about the items. The minimum would be an hour, but you could easily take two hours and still find it interesting.

A very interesting museum in the city centre, well worth a visit even for people who are not history enthusiasts. At the entrance you can get a booklet in multiple languages with interesting information about the collection. It took me a little more than half an hour for the entire museum, but do make sure to check the opening times on the website as it changes throughout the year and sometimes admission is only with a guided tour.

One of the most amazing collections I've seen anywhere. I took the English tour (and had an excellent guide) and learned a lot about medieval armor and weaponry. Afterwards I wandered on my own for about an hour to take pictures and look more closely. Many of the items have intricate details if you take the time to look closely. My only complaint is that the rooms could have better lighting.

Absolutely amazing collection of military weapons in the armoury. Even if this isn't really your thing, you should go for a look. Tens of thousands of weapons all lined up together makes for fascinating viewing. No bags allowed but there are little lockers you pay 1 euro for, but then get your money back when you retrieve your bag. Also there's an audio guide you can download beforehand if you want information as there isn't any at all alongside any of the objects. Make sure to look up when you're there. Amazing war museum, is the first time in my life I saw a huge gun's collection like this one. Definitely a must place to visit! Tickets cost 10€, the place is not pet friendly but the cashier keep mine at her place, so kind of her ☺️. There is no parking available around the museum.

It was the end of October, but a sunny warm day, lots of people visiting the castle. Getting into the garden took a few minutes, but we only got ticket for the 2pm guided tour. The park is splendid, kids played in the playground in the corner and we took the 50 minute tour of the castle. I say it was worth it, the guide was really good, and it did not felt a long tour. Lot we learned about the castle and the history for the family. I can only recommend.

I loved everything about this castle!! The staff is nice, the gardens and everything. I was there in March when the garden was not blooming so I would recommend to go in May, but it was also nice. The castle is not open for visita during a winter. Nice castle and garden but nothing special so the price to get in is right. Interiors on the 3rd floor are available at an additional cost, but it's really worth seeing. There is a cafe in the park and you can admire the peacocks.

Take the guided tour of the state rooms as the stories and paintings are MIND BLOWING. The gardens are incredible. PLUS there are many things clustered here including a wonderful and eaay to navigate archeological museum.

Love this palace! Great tour and gardens! Come a little early to make sure you get tickets for the tour. Most hours in English or German. Have a coffee and cake at the small gazebo cafe in the gardens. In the spring, the peacocks will show off their plumage.

We happened to arrive about 5 minutes before they were running a tour in English which we bought tickets for. You have to pay €2 to view the grounds but this is taken off the price of the tour if you choose to do it (which I would recommend). Our tour guide was informative and personable, and the rooms were well maintained - the planetary room alone is worth the price of the ticket. We were informed by our guide that they're doing quite a bit of restoration work in preparation for the 400th anniversary next year.

This place really close to Graz Cathedral. A small but wonderful attraction. This stairs is really easy for finding on site. I loved the lighting and the spiral structure. I went to the top, but the middle is the largest and most beautiful point. You can review these mervids in a pleasant and free way. Don’t forget to take beautiful photos.

Double spiral stairs are a must visit for romantic couples. Women to go via the right side as they ara always “right”, men to go via the left. Don’t forget to kiss at every floor to make your relationship stronger and stronger… .

Located in in left corner of the courtyard of the Graz Town Crown. Not spectacular but a fascinating idea and construction. This double spiral staircase was built in 1500 by an in known masterbuilder during the reign of emperor Maximilian, the “Last Night”. There are numerous signs on the structure from the stonemasons you participated in the construction. It is not the only one of its kind in Central Europe but probably the most significant.

Loved this little gem. The double stairs were pretty cool and it was not busy at all. Enjoyed learning about the history of this building.

Short walk from the Graz Cathedral. Not much of a view at the top, and could get crowded.

Local point of interest and nice photo point in Graz. Not required to pay entrance fee. Stairs run from two sides and reach the top on several levels. Visit it, if you're nearby. If there are many people it's worth waiting a little.

I don't understand why there aren’t enough comments here. It is not possible not to admire a historical structure. I would not have thought that I would enjoy it so much from the outside. There are historic doors, inscriptions and wall decorations. I think you will travel with peaceful and enjoying. A wonderful garden is right next to you when you are explore outside. It has a very nice smell inside. Details, embellishments, architecture was very pleasant. You don't have much choice to travel around Graz. So you should definitely add this place to your travel list.

It is definitely one of the most beautiful monuments of the city that it is really worth visiting! It is really a pity that it has strict opening times. When I went there, I couldn't enter indeed!

Unfortunately was only open on a Tuesday and Saturday when we visited at the end of March. Impressive building even from the outside only. The Cathedral next door is fabulous.

Entrance is free to enjoy this splendid piece of baroque architecture forming a unique ensemble with the adjacent church. Seems to have been recently revamped because it shows no signs of age and some features are modern like the entrance door. The murals are breathtakingly beautiful

Really great and historical place, it really represents Austro-Hungarian monarchy and theirs power back then. Visitor can see old flags on the ceiling that represent Austria and minor states in their empire. Mausoleum is story for itself in the same time is cool and scary place to be, but I loved this place my recommendations to visit it.

Gorgeous building. I loved the interior as well. I watched Macbeth by Verdi and enjoyed it a lot.

Beautiful opera house, definitely worth a visit. They also play musicals if you don't like classical opera. Concerts and cabarets have also been played in this opera. The house orchestra is very good. The productions often deviate from the classical versions and you have to be ready for something new.

What an incredible experience. It has been a live long dream to experience the live music and true uropean opera experience.

What s beautiful opera house. The performance I saw was amazing. The ballet dancers were unbelievably talented and incredible stamina. The set was breathtaking.

A few of my friends and I went to watch the musical ”Guys and Dolls”. The performance was top notch. We were astonished by the amount of different things that were happening at the same time on the stage. I enjoyed it, even though I couldn’t understand dialogues (they were in German, what I expected). However, all songs we're in original language (in this case English), and actors performed them perfectly. Opera, by itself, is breathtaking and I strongly advise everyone to visit it at least once.

Saw Orlando tonight-show was great, but whoever was doing the lights deserves a raise! Excellent skills and on point execution, bravo!

Very Fancy place. If you are in Graz, and like to see some musical or concerto, it is a must visit place. It has a very historic Viennese style charm.

Very nice open market for fruit, vegetables, mushrooms, sausages, jams, honeys, bread, cakes, juices, and other regional specialities. Prices are not excessive but certainly not cheap. There's a good selection though. If you want to see all stalls open, you should come earlier than the indicated closing time, as not all stalls stay open until the end. The market is easy to be accessed, as there's a tramway stop just there (for the Graz opera).

Lively and offering a lot of choices, bio meats, great breads, permaculture stands, in addition to great selection of veggies. Food truck / options to eat on location. July 2019 there is reconstruction so the market moved to the other side of the Opera. We were told it's open daily with the biggest market happening on Saturday.

You should definitely visit this market in the noon, it's located near the park in front of the opera with nice architecture. Locals selling here their self made stuff. After skaters take over the place and show off their Flip tricks

I love this marked. Always fresh seasonal fruit, vegetable, meat and self made bread to find. All grown by local farmers around the area. Very sustainable and traditional place. On every corner you will find a different good smell to every type of food you can imagine. They also sell flowers there, If you need some for a special event. If you need to rest you can sit down and get fresh cold smoothies, juices and coffee or hot chocolate. I would recommend to bring either your own bags, backpack or a box to put in your bought items, otherwise you have to waste many plastic bags...and who does that at a farmers market. The market is in the city centre and well connected to public transport, and bike lines. This is for sure a great place for every type of person in every age group.

My absolute favorite farmers market. Lots of different shops, great selection of local seasonal food. You can really walk around and get inspired to cook new things you maybe haven't tried before. I go every week!

I think all products are from local markets. Meat, fruits, vegetables, cheese and many. Good one.

The view is nice, but the path to the ruins are really steep and I consider it dangerous, too, with the leaves all over the rocks. Not a single sign at the bottom says that the ruins are closed, so we were really disappointed when we climbed up. Going down was horrible, I was scared of falling all the way down. Not really recommended.

Nice view and an relatively easy hike via a road. No fee or anything to pay to go to the viewpoint.

I love this place. The ruins feel like something from a storybook. The views are great. The St. George Caple is quaint. Love the well in the courtyard.

It’s a nice view, but you have to wait for a guided tour to get in, and it’s very annoying that there are three old cars driving up and down the mountain for people to see the ruins, as they pollute the air and make it hard for people to hike in peace.

El gaucho is a really good steakhouse mainly frequented by young people. They have lot of choice between various meet cuts. We tried the king’s cut, that was more than enough for two people. This is the first steakhouse in Austria where the wait for the dishes was not long and tedious. The only downside for us was that the music was a little to high. Overall we spent a pleasant evening.

The staff was very attentive and professional. Our waiter provided suggestions on food and wine. He did a pretty job of estimating serving sizes for our group of three. I'm hoping to be back in Graz on future trips and will definitely make El Gaucho a priority. Just be aware it is pricey, but I felt it was worth the cost.

Looking for excellent meat food, then don't miss that place. Probably one of the best steak restaurants in Graz. It is a bit pricy but it is worth it. Be aware it can get crowed so give them a call and reserve your spot. The staff is super friendly and always there to help you out.

I visited this place on a recent work trip to Graz and was blown away by the quality of the food served. Our waitress was both entertaining and helpful which only added to our brilliant experience. The ribeye was cooked to absolute perfection with just the right amount of seasoning, a thick tasty bark and a perfect tender texture. Possibly the best steak I've ever eaten. I hope I get the chance to revisit Graz and this wonderful restaurant. Thank you for a wonderful evening and your warm hospitality.

I can't recommend this place. The food was OK, but not really good. Service the same. For example I forgot to mention how I want my steak to be done and the waiter didn't ask for it too. In the end I got an almost well done steak, for a restaurant which specializes is very unprofessional. For this price you expect much more.

Nice Bar with cosy atmosphere and a good selection of drinks and wine 🍷 I did not have dinner as I arrived late in Graz but maybe next time

Steak was cooked perfectly (300g is plenty of meat) asparagus were delightful. Dietary indicators on menu were difficult to interpret without a key.

This is one of my favorite high-class restaurants in Graz that I love going back to. It has its price but the quality of the food is perfect and the service is excellent. Also, they do mix things up a bit on the menu every now and then, keeping it fresh and seasonal. I typically opt for the filet steak as my main, accompanied by a selection of side dishes that we share. Special shout-out to the truffle cream gnocchi! To top it off, I like to treat myself to a 4cl of Diplomatico, which is not too easily available everywhere. You won't be disappointed!

The rocket salad was very tasty as well as the risoto side dish. The dry aged beef is also very good. The staff is very welcoming and professional. Really nice ambiance. All in all it is highly recommended for people who like to eat.

amazing view! Right next to the lift station of Schloßberg, very popular. We waited at the door from 1155am for its 12noon opening to secure seats (no reservation) Food was great! Loved the beef broth, 2 kinds of beef, monkfish and duck breast. All delicious! Service was ok, waiting time (for menu, order and food) was a bit long as it almost got full house immediately after opening 😅

I spend this year with my partner new year's eve at Aiola Upstairs and we were complettly satisfied. At first we were convinced by the cozy atmosphere and by the view over Graz. We arrived at the restaurant and we have been welcomed immediately by staff, which has been acting and working through the whole evening very profesionally. For the new year's eve you could only order the 9 course menu with an alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverage pairing. We loved the food, the taste and the look of each course have been fantastic. Another thing to highlight was the wine pairing. Each wine was carefully choosen for each course and it has been always a match. At midnight we could enjoy the view from above the skyline of Graz and we had a drink to celebrate the new year. In conclusion I reccomend to every couple, to visit Aiola Upstairs for the new year's eve dinner.

Aiola Upstairs was a memorable experience! The host let us sit where we liked, and with rooftop views of beautiful Graz, there isn’t a bad seat in the house. We were fortunate to be served by Nikola, who was honest and helpful. His recommendations were excellent, which along with his friendliness, contributed to a pleasant dining experience. The food consisted of fresh ingredients, and was well crafted and presented. We had the Tuna 2-ways to start, which was refreshing and presented well. For our entree, we had the White Wine Risotto, with prawns, which was delicious and satisfying. You’ll want to lick the plate clean. The music and ambiance also contributed to making it an enjoyable experience. Nikola was courteous and dutifully attended to our needs. I highly recommend checking it out sometime, especially when the weather is nice, and the sky clear, so you can enjoy the beautiful views of Graz that it offers as well.

Visited a bakery machine supplier in Graz. They brought me to this restaurant situated on top of a hill. We took a tram up to reach the restaurant. The food is great, service is out of the world. I would like to comment the waitress who knows her wines so well. As per images I bought 4 bottles back to my house-stay. Up there, you have a sky scraper view of Graz city. This is a beautiful place of visit, not too overcrowded with tourists. The people in Graz are very kind.

The cappucino is great, and you also get a glass of water, as it should be. There is also a rather weak eduram and free wifi graz available. The additinal amazing view, makes it one of the best caffes in Graz imo. Cannot say anything about the food. Staff was friendly every time though.

Wonderful views of the city, on a good day one can enjoy in the sun very much. Although not a huge selection of food, it's of a great quality, little bit on the steep side price wise but it's ok. Service leaves much to wish for, I guess it's comes with the territory as I've noticed the same laid back, tad bit annoyed attitude with restaurant staff across Europe. Having the only cafe up on Schlossberg (and the only toilet) definitely helps with business, but it doesn't help with improving service much.

This café sits beautifully atop the Schlossberg and you can choose to sit outside to have a city view outside in the evenings or for a quick dose of daylight. We were there for a small coffee date, and ordered a hot chocolate and a cappuccino, and they were both good. Lovely ambience. The staff was kind too.

A super dining experience! The menu provides a lot of variety and choice, focusing on Steierisch food and tradition. We went for many of the tapas, which are a perfect amuse bouche (bigger size than a bite, but not too big). My husband had the lamb and was totally delighted by it! I went super classic - the traditional chicken + salad - also very very tasty! The service is great, all the staff is very polite and attentive, but by no means pressurizing. We were even debating whether to go there a second time for the short time we were in Graz ;) Definitely Reserve though! A ‚must go to‘ when in town!!

One of the best restaurants Ive ever been to. Very child friendly with a fantastic children's menu and kind, patient staff. The food is absolutely phenomenal, the ambiance is superb. I highly recommend it and there is ample street parking nearby.

2 years back, I had the chance to visit Der Steirer, and it was quite an interesting experience. I had made a reservation, but when I arrived, I found out that the restaurant was fully booked. Determined to make the best of it, I decided to wait at a nearby bar in the hotel. The wait turned out to be quite long, which inadvertently raised my expectations even higher. I couldn't help but imagine that the food at Der Steirer must be exceptional if it was in such high demand. So, with great anticipation, I finally got a table and ordered their famous schnitzel. I have to say, the schnitzel at Der Steirer was very good. The meat was tender, the breading was crispy, and it was definitely a satisfying dish. However, I must admit that I've had better schnitzel in Vienna, so the taste didn't come as a big surprise to me. On the positive side, the ambience at Der Steirer was quite pleasant. The restaurant had a cozy and welcoming atmosphere, and it added to the overall dining experience. The staff was friendly and attentive, which made the visit more enjoyable. All in all, my visit to Der Steirer had its ups and downs. While the schnitzel was tasty, it didn't exceed my expectations. However, the ambience and service were definitely highlights of the evening. If you're in the mood for a decent schnitzel and a cozy atmosphere, Der Steirer is worth a visit. Just keep in mind that if you're expecting mind-blowing flavors, you might find better options elsewhere, particularly in Vienna.

Soooooo good!!! I ate here twice. The schnitzel was amazing (the best I’ve ever eaten). The second day the house fried chicken and house salad were equally as good. The service was superb and everyone was patient with a traveling American. I will be back and you should go.

Located close to the city center, amazing restaurant with excellent food. They are specialised in Austrian cuisine and the kitchen is open non-stop. I can recommend the Wiener Schnitzel with potatoes and the gemischter Salat but they also have a wide range of other options of Austrian and Styrian dishes. Service was friendly and attentive. Would recommend to reserve a table in the evening as it can get very busy. Atmosphere is relaxed.

We arrived at the restaurant without a reservation, but luckily they still had space to seat us. The place was spacious and nicely decorated. We received great service throughout our meal. The goulash was delicious, and the Backhendl was quite enjoyable, although I've never had it elsewhere for comparison. However, it was a satisfying experience. My wife and I each ordered a serving of Backhendl, not realizing the portions would be so generous. We ended up with more food than we could eat and had to take the leftovers back to our hotel. Overall, it was a pleasant dining experience, and we were happy with our meals.

Great place with a group. We booked a table of 8. Lots of options so everyone could have what they enjoyed. The food was very well done. I loved the goat cheese salad and goulash. It was fun to be able to select a wine from their wine store as well for our meal. We had a natural skin contact wine that was a hit. Each person can also pay for what they ordered and they make that easy.

Great schnitzel! Was very hungry and it was so good so there isn't a picture of it. It managed to take pictures of the other dishes we had which were also good. We wanted to have an authentic Austrian dinner. Also tried the apple strudel which was delicious. Very recommended. I think it's better to make a reservation beforehand.

This place has it all. A delicatessen, an elegant bar and a patisserie. This gorgeously decorated place was buzzing with locals collecting their bruschetta style delicacies for home or enjoying them with a cheeky glass of wine or coffee during the afternoon we were there. The staff here were incredibly friendly and the prices quite. Baquette sliced snacks filled with cold meats , cheese and vegetables are surplus and impossible to choose just a few . The patisserie is not only elegantly presented, their petite cakes are heavenly to taste . The bar feels like you’ve stepped into the 1940’s and it’s was certainly an afternoon I will never forget . An absolute must visit in Graz.

We were in Graz for business and “Frankowitsch” was recommended to us for great delicious sandwiches. Indeed the friendly service, very tasty sandwiches are an absolute recommendation worthy. With such a large selection, the decision weren’t easy. We decided for a good pack for the road. But Quality has its price, but we would rather they it’s a bit pricey.

Great place to check out- even options for vegans- the beet sandwich was a spicy surprise! Fresh lemonade and fine desserts too. I would like to specially recognize Server KATHARINA. So kind, sweet, patient, and helpful with WONDERFUL recommendations for vegans! She didn't just do it as part of her job, but she likes for people to get what they are looking for and have new experiences. EVERY recommendation of hers was fantastic, we had to come back to her the very next day! I hope upper management can acknowledge her in some way. It's because of people like her, and her service that makes customers want to return :)

Superb food and service. Nothing to complain there. But i just find the place too tight or not enough space between tables to make it a more private experience. Overall, though, enjoyed the food. (ordered Bio Sabling mit gegrillten Gemüse dazu and was alao swrvwd excellent wines to pair with the dishes) .. perfectly cooked and seasoned plus with fast and efficient service, simply wonderful!

We were looking for something different to eat while in Graz, and we found this place. Tasty food, great staff, all round enjoyable experience for my friends and I. The waiter's recommendation was spot on. The service was brilliant and it was excellent value for money. A pleasure to have visited and will be back again soon. Would highly recommend.

It was a fabulous dinner! We had: sea robin with mussels, fritto misto with branzino & calamari, gnocchi with truffles, tahitian vanilla ice cream with caramelized pumpkin seeds & eggnog, tiramisu and of course some drinks. The food was delicious, only the tiramisu was "fair enough". The service was very attentive and kind. They took a lot of time to explain the different options of grilled fish for us. They tried very hard to find a lactose free alternative for dessert for me (besides sorbet), even asked in their other restaurant (El Gaucho) what they have on the menu. The only little minus: we would have drunk more, if the service would have let us / would have been a little bit quicker with the drinks. If you are into fish, if you don't mind spending money, if you like that little "extra" service and enjoy a really nice atmosphere in the old town of Graz: El Pescador is definitely the right place for you to go!

Service charge is excessive and unnecessary with food at these prices. Side of grilled vegetables was unremarkable and not worth it. Super tight and confined space for dining. I’ve spent a lot less and enjoyed other fish dinners a lot more.

Good vibes. Fresh and deliciously cooked fish. Friendly staff. Exceeded expectation fish soup starter and fish cappacio starter. We walked in without reservation on a Sat night in Nov, and just got really lucky that the last table was available to us - so remember tomake reservations!! Got seated very close to the pantry and saw how oysters were prepared 😄... nice!

They also offer a wide range of wine lists to go with each dish. Highly recommend the tuna with octopus ink pasta. For desserts, definitely try the peanut butter with ice cream. I had a late lunch there today and I was very disappointed in the food. The salad was swimming in dressing, so much so that I waited till the lettuce on my fork quit dripping before I ate it. I love steak tartar, I order it all over town. But, today's was the worst tasting tartar I have ever had in Graz, period. Both dishes were left un-eaten. I politely explained why I could not eat the tartar, told them they could remove the plate, and asked for the check. There was an excuse given about the cherry tomatoes that garnished the tartar causing the odd taste. Huh? There was no apology and no compensation. Today's lunch was a VERY expensive basket of bread. The staff were incredibly nice, very kind, and lovely. The Hungarian lady is just adorable. The food is also great, we had the polenta, and a chocolate mousse.
