This was my favorite experience in visiting NOLA last week. My partner and I got to learn so much about the animals, wildlife, and families that live on the swamp. It was breath takingly beautiful and our guide Captain Hunter was very engaging. This was great for families with kids and couples. We did not get to see an alligator this time, but our tour guide worked hard to find us one. We did get to see many raccoons, birds, snakes, and turtles. Would highly recommend this tour and it was also very affordable.

The guide was great and very knowledgeable about the swamp and river we were on. Knew the history of the swamp as well. He shared about some of the science and biology of the swamp and the animals found in the swamp. He also shared about the people who live around the area. Very interesting!

There was 8 adults plus 1 child (11 years old) in our group and we all had a gee-at time. Captain Kyle was informative. We were able to see alligators, snakes, raccoons and other wild life in the bayou. The other most interesting part of Honey Island Tour was that Kyle took us where Disney movie Princess & the Frog was base on. We were able to see the Wishing Tree where mama Odie lived. The staff awesome

Omg it was one of the most fun things I did in New Orleans (except of course trying different foods). The captain was incredible. The story telling about the history of new Orleans, honey island swamp and the black pearl river were so enchanting, humorous and engaging. We saw two alligators, abundant raccoons, snake, turtle and plant of beautiful birds and ducks. I would highly recommend ♥️

Thanks for excellent review.
Excellent experience
Larisa_G, Apr 2024
Highly recommended. Went off-season, so not that many animals to see. Nevertheless the tour was excellent. Passionate guide, we learned a lot. The nature - swamp, mangrove, river, camps - the sighs are so whimsical, fairy tale like. We passed by some tour boats from competitor company - Cajun something (explorers or expeditions or smth like that). Their boats carried twice as many people. So we were very glad we chose this one.
Must Try!
