To promote the profession to the next generation, award outstanding engineering students and help New York retain promising young talent, ACEC New York administers a statewide scholarship program. Since the program’s inception in 2002, the council has awarded more than $1.2 million collectively to over 400 high-achieving engineering students attending New York State colleges and universities.

These scholarships are designed to provide financial support and encouragement to outstanding individuals pursuing careers in engineering-related fields. The awards range from $1,000 to $10,000 and are granted based on a comprehensive evaluation of the students' qualifications, including their cumulative grade-point average, involvement in college activities, work experience, and essays.
