Q:
Do they have food here other than food trucks? Snacks or anything?
A:
Hi! We do offer snacks including locally made potato chips in four different flavors, popcorn, and peanuts. Our website has a list of food trucks that will be onsite each day. Just go to our website under "our beer" then click on "events". Hope that… more

Some really good local brews. Had a food truck and tables and tents out front and then got rid of that for more parking. Dumb. Finally brought some of it back. Nice to grab a beer with friends but leave a working situation alone. Front area outside is what folks loved. Few sat inside.

I love going to breweries in the area and right up at the top of my list is Low Tide. A great atmosphere and always has fun activities like trivia, food trucks, or music going on. A wide array of beers to choose from and very knowledgeable and friendly bartenders. The Aloha Beaches beer is one of my favorite local beers in the whole Charleston area! Try this place, you won't regret it!

I was surprised at how busy it was on the inside. This is a very nice brewery with delicious beer offerings. The staff were helpful, knowledgeable and fun. I wish I would've visitors this place earlier in my stay here. Don't make the same mistake. Get over there and try some new beers and meet some new friends.

MAY 2020 UPDATE
I recently came back to Low Tide for the first time since the Covid closure. Service was happy and friendly. The food truck was fine--nothing special. Picnic tables could use a good pressure washing/cleaning. I liked the gose on tap.

Low Tide used to be my favorite brewery.
In August of 2018, I brought my dog to Low Tide on a Sunday. I didn't realize it was going to be a dog adoption day, and there were dogs up for adoption that had just been taken in to foster care/shelters.
While I was enjoying a drink with friends, one such dog ran out of its foster handler's leash and attacked my Labrador. This was completely unprovoked; my dog was minding the food I was eating and not at all engaged in any other dogs. My dog was on a 5' leash and heeling by my side at a picnic table. I was able to get my dog and myself away safely.
The dog (and foster care parent) were both part of an officially-sanctioned event and had labeled collars and leashes for their sanctuary/business. In other words, these were no other bar patrons.
I was barely offered an apology by the dog adoption/business. The dog handler said they just picked up the stray dog recently and did not know it had aggression. (Well...duh, don't take it to a public event then!)
The owner/manager of Low Tide was apologetic and drove to CVS to bring back first aid materials for my dog. When my dog's snout bleeding would not stop, I took her to Charleston Veterinary Referral Center for emergency treatment (as it was a Sunday afternoon and my normal vet was closed). I was concerned about the bleeding but more than that I was concerned that the dog was a recent stray with no known vaccinations.
It should be noted that Low Tide was sponsoring this particular company to come in to adopt out their dogs. Therefore, I believe there is fault on Low Tide as well as the dog agency. If this were another bar patron's dog, I wouldn't fault the brewery.
Since this incident, Low Tide no longer allows dogs inside. I assume they have also parted ways with this dog adoption agency. I appreciate that Low Tide has changed their dog policy, and hopefully this will lesson events like I had.
Low Tide was kind enough to assist in the first aid of my dog, and they did supply me with a $50 gift card for future beverages. However, no one offered to pay for the emergency medical treatment of my dog. Thankfully that amounted to around $100. She has permanent scarring on her face but is otherwise fine.
I wonder if Low Tide could implement a policy to Tradesman's Growler Club where dog owners have to provide current shot records, sign a waiver, and pay a $10 fee annually in order to bring their dog to the brewery.
It's taken almost 1.5 years after this incident for me to feel comfortable coming back to Low Tide and bringing my dog with me (although now all dog stay outside, I guess to lessen liability on Low Tide). We returned last week to the brewery and enjoyed two sours on tap.1/18/2020Previous reviewLow Tide used to be my favorite brewery.

They've expanded their offerings to include a wider variety of brews, especially sours.
Most recently, I enjoyed:
Mermaid Tears, a blueberry sour
Drink to Get Lei'd, a pink guava sour
Rock the Boat, a dry-hopped sour
Sombrero Saison, a tangerine saison
Low Tide is very dog-friendly and has lots of parking. They often have food trucks available as well; just check their social media to see what's going on that day. The atmosphere and service are great!2/4/2017Previous reviewThe location is great and parking is ample. I know they have food trucks, but I have never been when a food truck was parked there. I appreciate how they're dog friendly.
I am sure their beers are great, but many are quite hop-forward or very dark--neither are my personal preference. I hope that Low Tide can expand their beer offerings. I'll keep trying! - Peonia E.Charleston, SC803793197/19/2021
I'm not the biggest beer drinker but the beer flight I got was very interesting and I totally enjoyed it. I love how they have different food trucks and the inside is industrial urban so you can see the tanks and some of the operation. Definitely a nicely done little brewery:-)

We found this place after visiting the Angel Oak Tree and it was amazing! It was extremely clean inside and the beers were great! We especially loved the Tide Chaser and the Nautical Haze!

First, clarifying, I do not drink beer, and I don't like beer. But, I love this place, and all who are drinking the beers seem to enjoy them a lot. However, they did have a pomegranate/plum sour that was delicious.
This is a fun place to hang out, especially on rescue dog day. Lots of really nice people all loving on some cute dogs. Not sure if they keep their website calendar up to date, but it helps to know if it is a 'rescue' day and also exactly which food truck is there. I've not seen that the site has been kept up to date...which is a disservice to customers.
But, I'll bring my two adopted babies and visit with all the others....and meet some nice folks. - Ashley G.Lexington, SC922513/20/2022
Great beer. The bar staff was very attentive and knowledgeable. Merch was high quality as well. We will be back soon for sure!
