- Me616 contributionsExcellent studio/museum. Massive Muppet exhibition. tons of historical technical film equipment to see and read about. Plus lots to see from all major films. -some hands on stuff too.
Small café serving drinks light refreshment and cakes overlooking a nice garden, garden was closed and thick snow when we went - we were lucky to be there in the snow.

I was born in Astoria (50’s) and have great memories of visiting the park in the ‘60’s with family and friends, which was 50 or so years ago. We played software, ran track, and picnicked. This time my son, grandson, cousin (local native) and I visited from out of state. The park was still lovely and the views still incredible from the river. We had to watch my grandson intensely making sure he didn’t pick up anything that could pierce his skin as certain areas were trashed. Also, he used the public restroom. Thank goodness my son (size of a linebacker) went into the stall with him. The industrial-style bar with its seating and large tables was very good for drinks with friends. They did not have cider but I ordered one of their craft beers. I like that these exhibits can for most part be touched or you can get close. My best description would be very eclectic. It borders on the East river. Intrigued by their services, I decided to give it a try. To my surprise, they offered me a complimentary fat-freezing session so I could test their skills firsthand before committing to any package. The experience was truly remarkable and much better than I had expected. The facility was immaculate, and the ambiance was exceptionally inviting. It was easy to see that they had put in the effort to create a welcoming and comfortable space for their clients. After the session, I was convinced their services were far more effective than any diet plan I had previously tried. The staff members were approachable, knowledgeable, and professional, making me feel at ease throughout my visits. Outside St George's, there is a cemetery which goes back to 17th Century, and where some of Astoria's founders such as the Blackwells, Halseys and Stevens families tombstones can be found.
