Nicholas Braun is an American actor. He portrays Greg Hirsch, Logan Roy's great-nephew, on Succession.

Biography[]

Early life[]

Nicholas Joseph Braun was born on May 1, 1988, in Long Island, New York. His father, Craig Braun, is an actor and former graphic designer, best known for his work with the Rolling Stones and other major artists throughout the 1970s.[1] In 1993, when Braun was five years old, his parents divorced, causing him to live between two households. He has two half-brothers from his father's past relationships.[2][3]

Braun attended boarding school as a teenager[1] and, as encouraged by his father, took acting classes during summer breaks. He enrolled in Occidental College as a math major, but dropped out after two years to continue his pursuit in acting.[2][3]

In 2001, Braun made his acting debut in the film . He was given several minor roles on television until 2005, when he gained prominence from his role in the film Sky High. He then starred in the Disney Channel films Minutemen and Princess Protection Program in 2008 and 2009, respectively.[4] He was given a recurring role in ABC Family's 10 Things I Hate About You, but the series was cancelled after one year. He has since appeared in major films such as The Perks of Being a Wallflower (2012) and How to Be Single (2016).

Personal life[]

Braun has invested in various bars and restaurants in New York City.[5]

Controversy[]

In early 2023, several women alleged that Braun had acted inappropriately toward them while they were underage. It began with one woman who, in a now-deleted TikTok video, claimed that she had met Braun at Coachella and he attempted to have sex with her that night, despite being aware that she was 16.[6] According to one Reddit user, it is "widely known in New York City" that Braun uses Ray's, a bar that he co-owns with Justin Theroux, "to seek out younger women to sleep with."[7] None of the allegations against Braun have been substantiated, and the actor has not commented on the accusations.[8][9]
