      Critics Consensus

While creatively better endowed than its print counterpart, Fifty Shades of Grey is a less than satisfying experience on the screen.

May 28, 2016 Full Review Joe Morgenstern Wall Street Journal Fifty Shades of Grey delivers, however ponderously, on its promise of pop transgressiveness. I will be deleting my fandango app. never use this junk app. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/02/22 Full Review EllaJo r For a movie that make so much money how did it get this low of ratings? All my friends loved this silly movie, yet Google won't let me leave a review.. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/29/24 Full Review Joan D So, my problem with this film is that in 2002 the film Secretary was released,( it’s a weird whimsical but also complex film to watch) but anyway the film revolves around a sub/dom relationship and one of the lead roles is named Mr grey. Then in 2011 fifty shades of grey was published and low and behold same sexual relationship and the leading character is named Mr Grey. Feel like the writer saw this movie and romanticised it with a millionaire and love story. No disrespect to Jamie Dornan he is a fantastic actor. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 05/19/24 Full Review shriya t "I don't make love, I fuck, HARD." MUM PICK ME UP, I AM TERRIFIED. Seriously, who can not only get through this without cringing but enjoy it as well? Absolutely horrendous watch and i'm quite frankly never watching a movie again.
