I first heard Tony McPhee play guitar on the 1969 album Western Flier by Hapshash & the Coloured Coat...I was impressed by his lead guitar playing on that LP and read somewhere that he was with a band called the Groundhogs...I thought of getting a Grounhogs album for some time since then, but only now (2021) bought the first 3 Sundazed reissues and really enjoyed them...So I just bought this RSD Hogwash and I'm really digging it...at times I can hear the essence of Cpt. Beefheart's Magic Band on the guitars on the studio album. Over all a great experimental blues rock album & the live album sounds awesome!

Thank Christ For the Bomb, Split, Who Will Save the World and now Hogwash. Every RSD since I picked up Thank Christ, the Groundhogs release is at the top of my list. I love this band and the RSD releases never disappoint.

I don’t have original pressings of any of these, nor any desire to hunt them down. The RSD releases are awesome.

An amazing reissue job from Fire. Beautiful tri-fold sleeve, inserts and postcard, and the studio album (I've not listened to the second record yet) sounds incredible, with excellent clarity and zero surface noise.
