Travis Scott just dropped a new single titled “THE PLAN.” Co-produced by longtime Childish Gambino collaborator Ludwig Göransson with WondaGurl, it’s featured on the soundtrack to director Christopher Nolan’s latest film, Tenet, and appears in the movie’s final trailer.

Ahead of the track’s release, the Houston rapper expressed his excitement for sharing it with fans.

“Can’t wait for The plan from the movie TENET to drop tonight dumb excited. Shiddd the movie is crazy. We need somewhere to watch that ASAP,” he wrote, on Twitter. “I’ve always wanted to do a song specifically for a movie so this sh-ttttttt right here can’t wait to blasssssttttt at high volume. Feel like when I use to make music out of moms crib.”

In a recent GQ profile, Göransson spoke about working with Travis.

“He’s touching so many different levels and different fields of art,” he said. “The way that he connects with art is not in a singular form. He has so many tentacles, and they’re all electric. So when we talk about feeling, [whether that’s] listening to a song or talking about a movie, he can visualize things in so many different fields. So it’s a very special ability. It’s like his own magic power.”

Nolan also described the importance of Travis' involvement with the film’s soundtrack. “His voice became the final piece of a yearlong puzzle,” the director explained. “His insights into the musical and narrative mechanism [composer] Ludwig Göransson and I were building were immediate, insightful, and profound.”

After a series of delays, Tenet will arrive in theaters internationally on August 26, ahead of its Labor Day weekend opening in the US. It stars John David Washington, Robert Pattinson, and Elizabeth Debicki, and is Nolan’s first directorial effort since his 2017 WWII drama, Dunkirk.
