Excellent authentic Italian food.

I was visiting from the UK. My family live locally and took me there for dinner. The food was excellent, as was the service and the restaurant itself. I shall definitely want to go there again on my next visit.

Authentic italian food experience

I had never heard of this restaurant before even though we don't live that far away from Panania. It was just a chance booking we made yesterday afternoon because our local restaurant, where we go to for italian, was booked for a private function. My wife just searched on the internet for "italian restaurants near me" and Pikkio came up. And luckily for us they had a table for 2 for 6pm. First impressions were great. Warm cozy atmosphere with italian posters around the walls (which I like), good music in the background. Being italian myself I always judge italian restaurants and compare it to my mums and family's authentic cooking. We both had pasta dishes. Well, 5 stars for the food. 5 stars for the service. 5 stars for the restaurant itself. After I asked for my bill our waiter returned with two shot glasses and filled them with delicious Lemoncello. Small gestures like this just make the dining experience even more of a pleasure. We will totally be here again.

The best restaurant in area

Absolutely the best authentic Italian in Panania and surrounding suburbs. Food is always fresh and delicious. Really good pizzas and home made pasta! Every week they have different specials and their seafood is always super fresh too! Service is great, staff are lovely and welcoming. Highly recommend!! If you love a good Tiramisu you won’t be disappointed. And if you like love a cocktail you also won’t be disappointed.

Disappointing

I was looking forward to returning to this venue after all the covid lockdowns. My memory of what the food was like led me back. Unfortunately it was truly disappointing. Paying $43 for a scotch fillet that comes cut up in three pieces and not even a centimetre thick! The veal scallopini was a little tough and unseasoned and the parmigiana was cold. The only saving grace was the free limoncello that was offered at the end of the meal.

A definite must for fantastic Italian dining!

Pikkio is a 10 out of 10 dining experience. The first time we ate there we were a party of about 20. The next time a group of about 6, and last night a family group. Each and every time the food and service were excellent. It is actually difficult to find a very good Italian restaurant outside of Italy - but Pikkio is definitely a stand-out example of that wonderful passion Italian chefs inject into their dishes!

Perfect Italian Meal

Forth visit this year. High level of service, professional chefs, lovely food. Had the Garlic Prawns than Slow braised beef ribs. Some of the Best I have had. Plse make a booking.

Best Italian in the 'burbs

We booked the restaurant for a private function and everyone commented on how phenomenal the food was. Daniel was easy to deal with and the food was plentiful and delicious. I highly recommend!

Just sublime food frm the breads to Entree, to Mains and the best dessert. Beautiful plating, great flavours big servings and well priced and value for money. Not rushed and comfortable

This is the best restaurant in the Panania/revesby/Padstow zone. Delicious pizza and pasta and awesome seafood and steaks. The staff are super friendly and welcoming and the atmosphere is intimate and lovely. Great selection of wines and cocktails, we always go here for family birthdays, they do the best kids schnitzel too. Highly recommend

Great atmosphere, delicious food!

My second time at Pikkio was one to remember! I went with a friend and ordered three dishes for main, two of which were from the blackboard specials. The Casareccia with sausage, cream and mushroom was so well seasoned and the pasta was absolutely al dente. The lamb ragu pasta dish was also so fresh, served steaming hot and a nice contrast to the creamy dish we had prior. Lastly was the squid ink risotto served with fresh cherry tomatoes, cuttlefish ragu and caramelised scallops- one to remember! Will definitely be coming back. I recommend Pikkio as a local favourite for your Italian cravings.

Great Atmosphere, Great Service, With almost perfect food

Went to this restaurant for my birthday and when we walked in, we loved the environment it definitely was authentic Italian environment! The service was great too! In terms of the pizza, Things I liked about it was, that the ingredients was all fresh and combined well together, and the somewhat burnt tastes all over the pizza and especially the crust, was perfect! Loved it! The only things that I didn't like and quite picky about was that there was only 6 slices when a pizza should be 8 slices! And second there should have been more prawns on the pizza. Overall I would give this pizza a 4 out of 5

Dinner....

Again shocking table service. How can you continue to be so complacent with the complete lack of customer service. Don't even start me on 'social distancing'. You showed complete ignorance to the new dining rules. It was someone else's decision to dine here, but my objective to never eat here again.

Lukewarm pizza took double the time we were told it would

Rather disappointed from last nights experience with Pikkio. We have supported the business for a while now, but will not be continuing to do so anymore. I ordered 4 pizzas at 5.00pm and was told that they would take 20-25 minutes. My Mum arrived at Pikkio at 5.15pm (a little early) and was told that the wait would not be long for the pizzas. She ended up waiting for 25 minutes longer to collect our pizzas (much longer than what we were originally told). My Mum had to go up to remind them that she was waiting on an order, to which they magically presented her with... the order had been sitting there and waiting to go! When she got home, we ate the pizza which was lukewarm and as you can see from the photo, there was hardly any pineapple on the Hawaiian Pizza. Very disappointed in being told that the pizzas would be ready at a certain time, yet it took double the amount of time to actually receive the pizzas. They were lukewarm and maybe this would have been okay if we were ordering pizza from Dominos, but at the cost of around 20$ average for a pizza from Pikkio, this is not okay!

Birthday Dinner

Service was disgraceful. All meals served randomly for both entrees and mains. The noise level was terrible, average food nothing special. We all agreed never again. It was a celebration birthday dinner, but we left before dessert.

Outstanding Trattoria - just like being in Italy.

Friendly family business in suburban Panania. It's a trattoria - the type you's expect to find in Italy. Good, wholesome Italia fare prepared by two Italian-born chefs while owner Daniele makes you feel welcome without being overbearing. Pikkio focuses on seafoof. We had the grilled octopus salad which was superb. The variety of pasta on the menu has to be seen to be believed while the chocolate cheesecake is outstanding. The best Italian restaurant in southern Sydney, and given our vast experience of travelling to Italy and being of Italian background, we don't make that claim lightly. Well done Pikkio!
