- adventixBoston, MA1,897 contributionsThe trail head is easy to find with parking, bathrooms and map. there are multiple trails, color coded. easy to navigate. length varies between 1-2 miles and up to 7-8 miles. trails are well kept and wide. We had a lot of fun. The trails we took (rad, part of green) were stroller passable (with the exception of a few steps that are manageable in my opinion).Written May 13, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Ann SWaterford, CT248 contributionsI enjoyed our visit to this place. It has a lot of vintage clothing on display and I found it very interesting. The volunteer docent was knowledgeable. It is a great place to stop if you are taking the north ferry from Greenport and catching the south ferry to Sag Harbor.Written October 16, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - G SLos Angeles, CA9 contributionsWe enjoyed The Farmstand shop where we picked up fresh produce and baked goods. Also loved visiting the chickens, sheet and the pigs! - Stacy Z11 contributionsWanted to reviewe this place more for service then beer. The beer was ok (the 114 flagship). So we walked from the north ferry to this brewery, should have rented a bike or a car even. Didn't quite realize how far it was from the ferry (had biked a lot day before and was already sore). I asked the waitress if there were taxi service nearby and she mentioned if they didn't answer the owner would drive us to the ferry, no charge. No answer so we got one more round and then asked for that lift which he very nicely did, refused even to take a few dollars. Saved us from walking back the 2 miles, was so grateful.Written July 5, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - ChantillyLace28NY342 contributionsThis is a great family beach, however, still great for couples and singles as well.
Plenty of sandy beach to keep apart from others. The swimming area is roped off with a generous area to swim. Water is calm and gentle. Entering the water us a bit tough in the feet, but once past it, swimming or a dip to cool down is so worth it. Nights before the sunset, you can make a fire on the beach..it is most enjoyable! Good family fun!
One day we had the pleasure to be entertained by a soft playing band..
Watching the boats from a distance and even small sunfish sailors, was a most relaxing day at the beach!Written September 20, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - David BBrooklyn, NY1,496 contributionsCame and got ice cream after Shell Beach. Wasn’t very crowded at 3pm. Daughter had smoothie, while I had a shake with skim milk. Not sure if it had expired, it gave me a discomfort during the middle of the night.

- GlobalbankerNew York70 contributionsFun to explore Shelter Island on land and sea. Texted to reserve a double kayak and Adam was ready when we arrived. He delivered a terrific summary of the area, it’s history and the recommended route.

- Tiffany R1 contributionSuzette, the owner is amazing. She's in her sixties and is the most fit and energetic instructor I ever had. She provides private and group pilates classes and Barre at her main studios as well as summer mat pilates at Dering Harbor. She and her staff have expert knowledge and are just great people. Be ready for an amazing workout!Written May 2, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
