Cliff 'Captain Crash' Harris becomes 18th Cowboys enshrined in Hall of Fame

The 2020 Hall of Fame induction ceremony took place Saturday, a year late but 100% on time. The Dallas Cowboys of course are well represented in Canton, Ohio, but their ranks are being fortified this weekend. Dallas has three members being inducted over the two-day event, with two coming with the 2020 class.

Cliff “Crash” Harris was a star of the 1970s teams as one of the most talented safeties of his generation. He came in Ranked No. 19 in our 2019 list of best Cowboys of all time. After a far-too-long wait, his bust will now properly reside with the best players in the game’s history.

A starter in both of Dallasโ€™ Super Bowl wins in the 1970s, Harris appeared in five championship games and made six Pro Bowls in his career that also included four first-team All-Pro nods. Captain Crash had 29 career interceptions, earning him a spot in the Cowboys Ring of Honor (2004) and a place on the 1970s All-Decade Team. He had been the only member of the first team not inducted into the Hall of Fame.
