The Niagara Falls Marriott on the Falls boasts exceptional views, particularly from rooms overlooking the falls, earning it praise from guests. Despite the picturesque setting, opinions on the hotel's value are mixed. Some visitors feel the cost is not justified by the services and amenities provided, pointing out high fees and underwhelming features like the pool. The hotel's location garners both commendation for its proximity to attractions and critique regarding its distance from the main strip. While the atmosphere in communal areas like the bar is vibrant, room cleanliness and upkeep receive mixed reviews.

We stayed here for one night and were given the option for a room on the 11th or 32nd (top) floor. We chose the latter and it had an incredible view. There is no elevator service to the 32nd so we had to walk up a flight of stairs in what looked like a concrete service stairwell. The room was odd shaped and provided a view in three directions including the falls and river from the bedroom and city view from the entrance. The room was very clean (except for the jumbo box of wings someone left in the fridge - not sure how old they were!) although the bathroom was very dated. Wifi was not free and do not bother with the regular service as it was pretty much unusable.

We stayed here for 4 nights. The people working here were very nice and helpful. The hotel itself is nice and it's in a GREAT location for viewing the falls. They have an awesome large fitness center with new machines and equipment. Very clean ! Hotel parking was plentiful and we never had trouble getting a place (parking in this city is awful) However, you have to pay to use their lot. Considering the amount of money we spent to stay here... seriously ?? Parking should be totally free. Now... My biggest problem with this place is the elevators. There are four which should be plenty for a hotel this size. We waited forever for elevators. It got to the point that when we were leaving to go anywhere, we didn't even try to get an elevator down. We just used the stairs which, again, considering what we paid to stay there, should not be happening! Our last morning there, the number of people checking out was high. I grabbed a luggage cart myself rather than wait for someone to come get our bags. This was around 9 AM. No lie .... it took me 25 minutes to get that cart on an elevator to go down. I ended up getting on one that was going UP just so I could ride down. For whatever reason, it didn't gothe whole way to the lobby floor and after picking up 2 people that decided to squeeze in on the 4th floor... IT WENT BACK UP to 25 before finally coming back down to the lobby. I was ready to strangle someone. I wouldn't stay there again for at least another 6 months to give them time to straighten this out for real. I overheard many other people who had similar problems with the elevators. If it weren't for having to pay to park and the elevator issue, I would have given them 5 stars. There is just simply no excuse for those two things.

I'm so glad we stayed here. Our room on the 29th floor had an awesome view of the falls - Horseshoe, American, Bridal Veil and the Rainbow Bridge. We stayed over a Sunday night and so got to see the fireworks from the comfort of our suite. The staff were super helpful. When they saw we were Marriott gold members, we were given a lovely room with a fireplace (didn't use it but the ambiance was nice.) We got tickets for hors devours and breakfast in the executive lounge on the 19th floor which also has great views. We also had free wifi. The wait for the elevators was a little longer than usual, but nothing more than 5 minutes.

I stayed at the Marriott Gateway on a recent trip to Niagara Falls. We called on the drive up and luckily got a room for a 1:30am check-in. Our room was very nice, we could not get a view of the falls though so we looked out at a parking lot, but what more can you expect when you book 5 hours before you arrive? The only thing that was a problem was the elevators, they took FOREVER! Not sure how that is possible but we waited 20 minutes for the elevator to come in the morning so we could check out and leave.

For a one night stay and just passing out in the room this was a great place to go, easy to get to when coming from the US side. Luckily for us there were only two elevator trips necessary, one being at 1:30 in the morning (no wait at all) and another at around 8am (quite a considerable wait). I can see how annoying the elevator situation would be if staying longer than we did.

This is definitely the place for you to stay if you enjoy waking up to a beautiful sight every morning. We had a perpetual view of the falls from our hotel room window. Not only were we able to see the sunrise and sunset over the falls, but we had front row seats to the firework show! We also had the breakfast and hors d'oeuvres included in our daily package, which was in a room with an excellent view of the falls, as well. We will definitely return to this hotel!

My wife and I stayed here for 5 days and the service is fantastic! We were only going to stay 2 nights but decided to stay an extra 3 because there is so much to do in Niagara Falls. The staff was very accommodating and let us stay in the same room the extra 3 nights! I also recommend having breakfast in the milestone cafe in the hotel. Their breakfast is $19.95 per person. It is all you can eat buffet style! Fresh fruit, bagels, cereals, made to order omelettes, etc. Rooms were neat and clean! Also want to add that being an American, we are spoiled when it comes to hotels. In Canada at this hotel, wi-fi and coffee are not free! But I can not express how happy my wife and I were with this hotel! This was one of our best vacations! Enjoy!

We stayed here for our anniversary and were really impressed by their Jr. Presidential Suite. We had booked a deal online and for the price we paid we sure got a lot. The room was 2 levels with an amazing view of Niagara Falls. Would stay again.

The view from the room is what really makes this hotel worth staying at. We stayed on the 17th floor. The view was absolutely amazing. The beds were really comfortable and room was very clean.
The thing I did not like about this hotel was that somehow I must have missed that it would cost $25 to park your car or $30 for valet. Price of the room was what I expected about $260 for one night in two queen beeds.
Overall I would stay here again. Just a wonderful sight to wake up to.

We've always liked staying at hotels that are in a quieter part of town, and we certainly found this with the "Gateway." Away from all the hustle and bustle, this hotel sits at the edge of the town but eith fantastic views overlooking Niagara Falls. We stayed in a suite which was fantastic! We had a loving room area looking directly over the falls, and we were able to watch the firework and light display from the comfort of our sofa. The restaurant had an amazing menu choice of meals and eonderful cocktails. The restaurant overlooks the falls and it was lovely to be able to enjoy the view whilst dining. You don't have to stay in a suite to see the spectacular falls but if you book a room on a high floor with falls view, you will not be disappointed. This hotel is a must if you are wanting to stay in Niagara Falls.

Cons- Motel-like room. Tacky, dated, loud ACs, stained carpet, no airconditioning in the corridoor and elevator areas, so be prepared to sweat it out, long wait for the elevators, smelly carpets, TINY bathroom- you can't get to the bathtub without brushing past the toilet seat- yuck! Whoever awarded 4 stars to this hotel clearly hasn't visited it lately. Bad value for money, nobody even offers to help carry your luggage up to your room, terrible staff- they're probably very understaffed this season.
All in all we avoided being in the room as much as possible.

Pros- Great views if you're on the right side of the building, nice observation deck on the 3rd loor to view the falls.
