Glenwood Tilghman OBITUARY

HAMPTON – On Saturday, Feb. 2, 2002, the angels came to escort Glenwood “Homer” Tilghman home after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Glen enjoyed the outdoors and keeping life simple and was well known in the Glass Repair community as well as by his many customers in grounds maintenance. Glen was preceded in death by his daughter, Tammy Twisdale, and will be missed by his wife, Brenda; his three sons, Glen Jr., David and Michael, and their families including six grandchildren; his mother; and two brothers; and all who knew and loved him. Glen’s life will be celebrated at 2 p.m., Monday at Faith Church of God by Pastor Don Back. After the celebration, the family will receive friends at the home of Ronald and Barbara Byrne. The family wishes any expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to Faith Church of God, 1115 Todds Lane, Hampton, VA 23666. Arrangements are being provided by Berceuse Funeral and Cremation Traditions, 2609 Cunningham Dr. in Hampton.
