BSM was instrumental to my education and preparedness to be successful in college, as a working professional, as a father and husband, and engagement in various communities. The leadership and faculty deeply care about knowing their students and customizing their approach to helping young people reach the highest levels of their potential.
We have been very pleased with Benilde-St. Margaret’s for our children. The curriculum offerings can flex to cater to the student’s unique abilities while supporting or challenging them as needed. This was important for us as many schools are failing to recognize this need. We love the teachers and staff, who truly care anout their students’ well-being. So grateful for them!
Benilde-St. Margaret's has given me countless opportunities to enhance my leadership skills through starting a club and being an EPIC Marketing and Communications intern. I gained valuable real-world experience and received guidance from professionals who are experts in the field of study I am interested in.
I have really enjoyed my time at BSM so far! I love my classes, the teachers, and the extracurricular activities I'm involved in. I feel the rigor of the classes is preparing me well for college in the future. They have a variety of classes so that everyone can find something they enjoy. I also like how BSM ties religion throughout the day. It has helped me build my relationship with God.
Overall, BSM has been a positive environment that has helped me expand my interests in the world and explore what careers I see fit for myself. The education has been excellent, and I have been able to learn many new habits in core classes such as English and math. My journey through the EPIC Marketing and Communications internship has been a highlight of my time at BSM because I have gotten the opportunity to learn about something I am very interested in and actually help with marketing at BSM.
Overall, I have enjoyed my time at BSM. Academically, BSM has greatly assisted me and made me a much more proficient student and person. However, I have found that the school spirit and overall camaraderie are not the best, and the student body tends to be cliquey.
I had an amazing experience with the sports and I love the school spirit. I've been liking all my classes and am doing well in all the advanced classes offered. I wish that students were more encouraged and pushed to take honors and AP tracks, and didn't have to ask to take a harder class. As well as I wish we had more freedom to chose our paths and classes, and have the ability to take more advanced classes if we think we can be successful.
Benilde-St. Margaret's helped me reach a higher level of education but lacks diversity and inclusion of all kinds of people. Like most schools, the teachers and classes vary but for the most part, many of my teachers were good.
I am very glad that I chose BSM as my high school and middle school. The people here are great, I have never felt a moment where I didn't belong. Sports are a big thing that I would recommend here at BSM, especially for girls. Everybody has been so welcoming and it has been so fun. My faith journey has developed also over my time here. One thing I would like to improve here at BSM is the student involvement in activities. Overall I would recommend BSM for everyone.
I have attended Benilde-St. Margaret's School for five years. Throughout my years, I have had a multitude of different experiences. During 2020 and 2021, I witnessed a lot of political and racial injustices among students. I believe that this was tied to the election and the issues going on within our city. BSM faculty and staff made it their priority to stop these tensions and remained neutral on the opinions coming from students. Because of these reactions from the school, students became less agitated and everything was handled very well. Knowing this, I am comfortable speaking my mind and sharing my opinion with fellow students.
Our school spirit is something I would like to see change. At school events or sports games, the sense of pride and joy for our school is missing. It feels that most students are not proud to be a part of this school.
At BSM, the academics and college prep are outstanding. I always feel challenged and ready to move on from high school.

Overall, I have had a great experience at BSM. I feel prepared for college both academically and socially. The teachers and staff are great and know how to make classes challenging yet fun and engaging. I do wish our school had more school spirit as a whole and that there would be nicer facilities for students to use.
When I first arrived at BSM during my 7th-grade year, it was one of the most enjoyable school years I've ever had. I was able to have fun with my friends which I meant and still be able to keep up with academics. Then when COVID-19 hit, it was a big change that made life very difficult. 8th-grade year was hard to adapt to and accept the change. Going into the 9th-grade year I came into it with an open mind and was able to make the most of it and had a blast. These past years of high school have had a very different change and it is not easy to accept that I am soon to be a senior.
My experience at BSM has been amazing. I have met a lot of great friends and have built great relationships throughout my time at BSM. The teachers here are very supportive and are willing to help out outside of class and school hours. The counselors are the best part about this school because they are always there and are super helpful throughout the entire college search and application process.
At Benilde, I appreciate being pushed out of my comfort zone regarding school assignments and work load. I know that I will be prepared to college, since Benilde does a good job introducing better time management and coping skills that will actually be beneficial. One thing I’d like to see changed would be administration’s flexibility with students wants or needs. Many things Student Council wanted was shut down immediately, even if they were reasonable, fun ideas that we’ve done in the past.
I have had a great experience at Benilde! In the academic aspect, I feel very well prepared for college and beyond. The academics here challenge me to do my best every day. Socially, I have made friendships at Benilde that I feel I will have throughout my life. My favorite part about Benilde is the engineering department. This program is unique to Benilde and provides students with wonderful opportunities to further their engineering experiences. The lab has a welcoming environment and the teachers provide wonderful support.
Throughout my experience in the junior high and high school, I have found challenging academics that will help prepare me for college. There are also great opportunities regarding elective classes, internships, and extra curriculars. However, I have also seen the school spirit decline over the years. At football games, they used to be packed with the band taking up a whole section of the bleachers. Now, they only take up a few rows. The classes here are also not very diverse.
I am currently at my fourth year at BSM and I am now realizing that coming here is one of the best choices that I made. It has given me numerous opportunities that I will forever be thankful for. The academics are amazing because they give students numerous choices on what classes they can take. This allows students to take classes that match their learning level, but also gives the choice to take more rigorous classes to challenge themselves. My drawing point to BSM was most definitely the community. BSM's community is super welcoming and everyone contributes to it and almost everyone gets involved within the school which helps build a stronger community.
I have really enjoyed my time at BSM, but I think the students would benefit from a more involved administration. It seems a lot of the time that there are constantly new rules with no student involvement. I also think that offering more AP classes would benefit the rigor and college profiles of BSM students.
I have had a great experience with the college readiness resources of Benilde St. Margaret's. I am a current senior and I am completely done with the college process because Benilde requires students to get many parts of the college process done junior year so that students aren't crammed senior year. I am now officially committed to a college and feel confident in my future.
I have been at Benilde-St Margaret's since 7th grade, and over these six years, it has prepared me well for college and the future.
