'The Sound of Music' features only three original members of the dB's since Chris Stamey no longer appeared in the band's lineup at that point - nor did he in the band's previous record, their third one called 'Like This'.
As a result, Peter Holsapple bears all the songwriting burden and he makes a pretty good job of it but something of the magic of the dB's' first two records is gone.
