CM Punk is an American professional wrestler currently signed to AEW (All Elite Wrestling). Born in 1978 in Chicago, CM Punk (Phillip Brooks) began his professional wrestling career in 1999 after gaining recognition on the independent circuit. Best known for his self-taught wrestling skills, microphone ability and straight edge lifestyle, CM Punk competed in Ring of Honor (ROH) before signing with WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment) in 2005.
