Keeping the principles of sustainability in mind, the building's original steel, wood, concrete and brick arches were restored while the design materials pair with a seventies modernity to exude an inviting and lively atmosphere. The artisan bakery has both sweet and savory selections, as well as locally roasted direct trade coffee. The 20-seat bar highlights fresh juice cocktails, organic and premium spirits, beer and wine. First, we got so lucky with our server, Jordan. He was lovely from the first introduction and very informative about the dishes and drinks we were interested in. He checked in regularly but not in a bothersome way. He let us know the kitchen was closing soon and that he was leaving but putting us in good hands with someone else. Overall, we had the best time and will be back asking for Jordan!

I had not dined at Akasha in some time. Formerly the food and drink were excellent but the restaurant had a larger, more diverse, and more interesting menu. The quality and value of the offerings is still there but the number of options is much more limited than I recall. While I and a friend had a nice time (hence the 4 stars), the restaurant simply is no longer as interesting as it once was.

The fresh locally sourced food is always wonderful and sometimes a little eclectic, in a great way. There are healthy choices, but they will please the pickiest eaters. Great for business lunches, romantic dinners or family meals (if your kids eat more than just mac-n-cheese).

Great dinner, and the service was outstanding for my handicapped mother. They went out of the way to make my handicapped mother feel welcome and took their time to make everything right.

Akasha provides consistently good food at a reasonable price. I had the tuna melt and it was excellent! The accompanying small salad was so good I ate them like french fries--all of them! Our waitress was so nice, always returning to see how we were doing. I am looking forward to returning soon.

Lovely afternoon. The Culver City car show was an extra added bonus. Glad the parking lot was open. Drinks were delicious. Recommend the spring equinox. Coffee could have been n better, the espresso machine was broken.
