Yashasvi Jaiswal opened up on his approach after a brilliant match-winning century against Mumbai Indians on Monday. 

"I really enjoyed from the start and I made sure I was watching the ball properly and playing proper cricketing shots. I’m trying to do what I am doing well, some days it comes good and some days it doesn’t, I’m not thinking much. I want to thank all my seniors the way they have guided me," Jaiswal said after the match. 

The left-handed batter further thanked Rajasthan Royals management, coach and skipper Sanju Samson for backing him.

 "I want to thank the Rajasthan Royals management and especially Sanga sir and Sanju bhai for giving me opportunities. I go out and give my best in the practice sessions and I’m so happy today," he added.

Hardik Pandya heaped praise on Tilak Varma and Nehal Wadhera for their 99-run stand which helped them post a challenging total but he admitted a couple of tight overs in the last hurt them. 

"We put ourselves in trouble early on. The way Tilak and Nehal batted - that was fantastic. I don't think that when we lost a couple of wickets early we thought we would would even reach 180. We didn't finish well and that's why we were 10-15 runs short." Hardik said after the match.

 The skipper further said that they didn't had the best of days with the ball and also dropped a couple of crucial catches. 

"We had to keep it within the stumps (while bowling). Early on in the powerplay, we gave a lot of width and I don't think it was our best day in the field as well. Overall, we did not put the right foot and eventually they outplayed us," he added. 

Talking about his players' performance, Hardik said like to back his player and doesn't believe much in chip and chop. 

“After the game, it's not the right time to go to the players, everyone is professional, they know their roles. What we can do is learn from this game and the mistakes which we have made, rectify it and make sure that we don't repeat it. Progression is very important. Within the team, individually we have work on our flaws. I don't believe much in chip and chop, I like to back players and the focus would always be to play good cricket. Cricket is simple, as long as we keep it simple, it's nice,” he concluded.
