There are no updates on It's Tough To Be A Bug, correct?
I want so badly to go and my plan isn't until next May. I've seen so many updates, but nothing on the Zootopia update. Thanks.
I will miss the screams of children when the spiders come down.
I think you meant me, the full grown adult
Or when the first air blast goes off and the room erupts with screaming and parents dragging their kids out
My children were two of them, about 3 weeks ago.
A lifetime of memories. ❤️
Call me sentimental, but I miss the screaming
It would be weird for them to close Tough To Be A Bug and Dinoland USA at the same time. That would just leave the park with 5 rides and 3 shows. It already still feels like a half day park to so many guests. This makes me think TTBAB might last a little longer while Dinoland gets a makeover
I mean Epcot was/has been a construction site for years now so i wouldn’t be surprised if they did
Epcot in general has more to keep people occupied. At its peak closure it really only removed 1 ride, Ellen's Energy Adventure, which made way for Cosmic Rewind. Ratatouille didn't close anything to open. And no rides really closed for the center to be remodeled. So it went from 11 rides to 10 rides and a bunch for shows open waiting for Ratatouille and Cosmic to open.
Animal Kingdom only has 7 rides; 2 in Pandora, 2 in Asia, 2 in Dinoland, and 1 in Africa. Closing 2 in dinoland really does put a massive hit in their attraction offerings
Norway ride would like a word😭😭😭😭
Frozen opened (June 2016) before Ellens Energy Adventure closed (Aug 2017)
Yes! We'll go with this.
I was there a week ago today and Hopper wasn't there, but that show is so fun
Was there Monday and hopper was back. But u til then I hadn’t seen him in months. It’ll be sad to see it all go.
Hopper wasn’t there yesterday, I guess he’s still having problems.
Contrary to popular belief, it’s actually quite easy to be a bug. When Disney found out, they started planning on a replacement for that attraction.
Who told them? I need to have words with them.
I’m sure we’ll get an update/closing date really soon. Test Tracks reimagining which got announced at the same time as the Zootopia show just got their closing date set a couple weeks ago, matter of time until they announce It’s Tough To Be a Bugs closing
Right. As far as I know it is still tough to be a bug.
Seats may still be wet from the previous show!
Is this a joke about kids peeing their pants? If Imma get shot by squirt guns, I need a warning.
Haha it was a joke about people peeing their pants
Ok. I'll bring paper towels, as I will probably wet the seats, too. Thanks!
But...you do get shot by squirt guns , and the seats are often still wet lol
No updates yet but the Hopper animatronic has been down for a long time and the speculation is they aren’t fixing it because it’s about to close.
I was there less than two weeks ago, and Hopper was fully functional.
I was also confused by that because I was there last week and Hopper was a-ok.
Flick, on the other hand, had a creepy non-working mouth where you could just see his teeth set in a sneer.
Interesting lol, he definitely didn't show up yesterday and Flik's mouth was still like that
Seems like “Hopper is broken” means “Hopper doesn’t consistently work…” which of course is a big deal lol.
Okay I take it back! Glad he’s up and running again!
What!! I have been maybe 5x this year alone and Hopper was not working each time. Figured it was permanently disabled/turned off. I think it’s one of the better/more complex animatronics and hope to see it operate again!
Oh no! Thank you.
I know! I hope it’s all speculation because I love It’s Tough to be a Bug. I think it’s so fun and creepy and kids should be scared by weird and harmless stuff sometimes! It’s character-building.
Disney announced the retheme to Zootopia at Destination D23 last year. While they've definitely backed out of announcements before, there's as far from speculation as you can get.
I was there the other day and both Hopper and Flik were working perfectly
Next May 2025? If it’s this May 2024 I’d say you have a solid shot. They haven’t confirmed a date for bug closure yet, lot of speculation that it would be closed by early next year but Disney hasn’t made an official announcement yet
I was there yesterday toward the end of the day and hopper didn’t come out
Is Hopper a big deal? I've never seen it. I haven't even watched it online because I want to be scared.
Next May as in 2025, it will be long gone before that I think. I am not sure it will even see Christmas this year
It will be gone before next May.
Why do you say that?
Because it will be? I don’t understand the question.
If they haven't announced any dates or anything, I don't know why you'd think this. I have never tracked Disney stuff before, so I have no idea what is normal.
They haven’t officially announced anything.
It will be closed before next May.
