The pair that's been engaged since 2014 tied the knot in a quiet ceremony in Subic Bay, much to the delight of this bride who calls Subic her hometown.
There were so many things about the low-key celebration that we couldn't take our eyes off thanks to the level of personalization it featured; everything was done with intent and purpose, nothing random, nothing without reason.

Beauty in simplicity
No heavy lace, no intricate embroidery, no sparkles, no stones—just plain elegance and simplicity! According to this bride, she wanted the ceremony and the day's most special moments to be the highlight of her wedding, rather than the dress. Hence, she sought the talents of her friends Patricia Santos and Boom Sason to materialize this vision. Patricia created a long-sleeved number for the ceremony accentuated by a tulle veil, V-neckline and sheer details, while Boom came up with a playful, fuss-free ruffled piece for the reception.
Sneaks over heels
To top off her understated bridal style, Megan took things a step further by pairing her after party dress with a pair of comfy white kicks! She was initially in classic white pumps then switched to the more practical pair to gear up for a whole night of dancing and photo-taking at their garden venue, El Kabayo.
The glam look
Brides will often tell their wedding glam squads that they want to look like themselves on their wedding day, rather than be hidden under layers of color and contour. Well, thanks to famed makeup artist Anthea Bueno, Megan achieved exactly that and more! Here she is looking super fresh and absolutely glowing on her big day.
And the hairstyle
Of course, a makeup look isn't complete without hair to match! Celeb hairstylist Renz Pangilinan took care of that for Megan and had her wear two 'dos: a low, loose, but clean bun for the ceremony that featured a cute little white ribbon intertwined with her hair, and for the party, a high ponytail that was just as clean and simple to show off Megan's best assets.
Bleached, dried, fresh
Those are the elements that event stylist and florist Gideon Hermosa kept in mind as he designed Megan's bouquet, which closely resembled a springtime wreath. Its shape makes it original and eye-catching, but how the yellow of the fresh flowers contrast her topaz engagement ring is our favorite part!
"I do's" in style
When Megan and Mikael were scouting for wedding venues, the criteria was that the place needed to have significance. It didn't need to be the biggest, grandest place, but it needed to hold meaning. Eventually, they picked San Roque Chapel in Subic Bay, a quaint little place conducive to intimate prayer and meaningful gatherings. And the moment La Belle Fete got their hands on it and transformed it into a wedding-ready masterpiece with Gideon, it was a total vision of romance.
Dream come true setup
La Belle Fete events was also behind the organic, bohemian feel of this wedding reception. Staying true to what Megan and Mikael wanted to achieve for this part of the day—as natural and as easygoing as can be.
Photo-ready
Aside from the all the beautiful, non-material things Mikael and Megan's guests witnessed at their wedding, this couple had other things in store for them, including unique photo areas everyone could enjoy! The spots were outfitted with lots of organic elements and shabby chic touches. Textured surfaces and layers of pretty things definitely made them scene-stealers at the event.
Coffee over beer
There were lots and lots of shots passed around in this wedding...coffee shots, though! See, Mikael and Megan's love story has a lot to do with their mutual love for the beloved beverage, so they made sure that it would play a starring role on this special occasion. Instead of having a typical mobile bar setup, they asked their friends at Chapter Coffee Roastery & Cafe to setup a coffee cart. How cute is that?
