Had business in FR on Sunday so decided to walk the path from Bicentennial Park to Battleship Cove. Most of it is a nice boardwalk, part is just pavement. Right along the river. We started at Bicentennial park, where there are memorials to WWI, WWII, Korean War and Vietnam war, and along the river to Battleship Cove (just over a mile) and back to where we parked.
Tons of potential in fenced off areas where they could really improve the area but it's nice as it stands

We walked around here after a trip to Battleship Cove. The park is really nicely maintained and the boardwalk is just beautiful.

Went to the park mid morning the Saturday of Thanksgiving weekend and the visitor center seemed to be closed. There was no hours posted nor an indication of when it might open again. Looking through the door the center looked pretty vacant.
I am not sure if it is closed for the season or closed forever.

Over the thirty three years of my history as an artist in the Fall River 1840 Granite Mill space, the Fall River Heritage State Park has been one of the most memorable. In 1988 I saw a major exhibit of 35 ft. high metal sculptures by Susumu Shingu a world famous sculptor. It went from Fall River to Chicago to Los Angelos. Later that year my own monumental art filled the major area of the space for four months.

There are many momuments to see and very nice to walk around. They hold concerts in the summer and so a chair and enjoy the sites.

Underrated gem of a place to go for a stroll. Tell the kids there are pokestops all over the place and they'll enjoy the park and boardwalk just as much as you.

This park is long and wide. There is free parking. There are several events that happen on or around it, esp. In the summer, like the 4th of July fireworks. What I love about this park is that it is part of Battleship Cove. Also, it has a replica of the Marine Corps Memorial, way down the boadwalk. It is not at Heritage S.P. but at Bicentennial Park. Follow the boardwalk and you can get to it!!!

Run by the State this park allows you to learn much about the City of Fall River, the area and the views from any point are spectacular. Sitting on the River beneath the Braga Bridge, in the shadow of the USS Massachusetts Battleship, the park has a splendid US Marine Memorial much like the Iwo Jima Memorial in Washington DC. A great spot to stop and take pictures.
