  • Rainforest Trail: A and B

    #1 - Rainforest Trail: A and B
    Length: 1.6 miEst. 37m
The Rainforest Figure Eight loop consists of two separate paths on either side of the highway. It's a very serene walk through the forest and a great place to get a glimpse of the west coast rainforest if you don’t have a lot of time. It's very humbling to be surrounded by massive trees and thousands of shades of green. Even though the trail consists of boardwalk, it's narrow and has quite a bit of stairs so it's not ideal for a stroller for anyone with young kids.

    #2 - ʔapsčiik t̓ašii
    Length: 13.6 miEst. 4h 58m
The ʔapsčiik t̓ašii (pronounced ups-cheek ta-shee)is one of British Columbia's best cycling trails, venturing through the stunning Pacific Rim National Park. Formerly the Pacific Rim Pathway, this route is located in the traditional homelands of the hahuuli First Nation. The best trailhead is located at the north, with abundant parking. The entire pathway is paved, making this a great road biking or leisurely ride for anyone. Bring lots of water, and be sure to take breaks at one of the...
  • Pacific Rim Pathway: Tofino to Long Beach
    Easy4.3(158)
#3 - Pacific Rim Pathway: Tofino to Long Beach
    Length: 9.5 miEst. 3h 15m
This is a beautiful multi-use pathway that winds through the rainforest and takes you all the way to Long Beach. On the way, the route passes the Radar Hill parking lot, the trailhead for the Canso Bomber trail, and the Schooner Cove trail parking lot. The trail continues alongside Long Beach, but incinerator rock serves as an epic destination!
  • Radar Hill
    Easy3.9(137)
    #4 - Radar Hill
    Length: 0.3 miEst. 8m
This is a short little stroll up a paved wheelchair accessible ramp to two lookouts - great if you are visiting the area! One lookout is at the top of the hill and the other is at the lower deck, both with gorgeous views. There is information along the way and a plaque detailing the names of the mountains you are looking at.
  • Keeha Beach via Cape Beale-Keeha Trailhead
    Moderate4.2(135)
#5 - Keeha Beach via Cape Beale-Keeha Trailhead
    Length: 6.0 miEst. 2h 24m
This rugged trail brings you to the secluded, white sandy beach of Keeha Bay. Most of the trail is through thick rainforest and is muddy, often requiring going around and over fallen trees. Proper footwear is highly recommended. Rope is available to aid with the steeper slopes near the end before the beach. Wildlife such as seals, osprey, sea lions, and even black bears can be seen on the pathway and beach. Campers should register online before camping here.
  • Shorepine Bog Trail
    Easy4.1(138)
    #6 - Shorepine Bog Trail
    Length: 0.5 miEst. 11m
This is a short and very easy boardwalk trail through a very unique ecosystem. The trail is stroller friendly, although the boardwalk can be a little uneven and bumpy, so be sure to watch your footing. The terrain and environment are very interesting and the moss in here can be 1 to 2 meters thick and 400 years old!
  • Pacific Rim Traverse
    Moderate4.6(38)
    #7 - Pacific Rim Traverse
    Length: 8.2 miEst. 3h 0m
The Pacific Rim Traverse in Pacific Rim National Park Long Beach Unit is considered one of the premier day hikes in Tofino and Ucluelet, an iconic experience within easy reach of both communities. The 16-kilometre route is comprised of 4 beautiful beaches and 5 of the National Park's trails, a moderate 5-6 hour trip for most hikers. This traverse is only accessible during the dry season (May-October) as there are 2 creek crossings along this route. Lost Shoe creek on Florencia Beach and...

  • Green Point South Trail
    Easy4.1(44)
#9 - Green Point South Trail
    Length: 0.6 miEst. 17m
This is a short trail with a steep hill down to the beach through a sitka spruce forest. From the beach you can continue to explore Pacific Rim National Park's fantastic beaches. While this is definitely just a quick path to the beach rather than a hike, it is pure magic at sunset with the light coming through the rainforest.

Keeha Beach via Cape Beale-Keeha Trailhead
it was great! super nice! got to see an osprey hunt a fish, then get chased by eagle. there’s bears in the area as well so just be cautious with scented items, food, surroundings and whatnot. the trail itself is rooty, overgrown, short, and muddy, but overall lots of fun! nice having all the variety. the beach it’s awesome too just nice to walk around and check stuff out. as mentioned in a previous comment there’s a closer parking lot on the gravel road to the left just a little bit ahead of the trailhead that all trails directs you to. oh also the gravel road getting there is pretty long, dusty and slippery so just drive with caution especially since the roads are so wingdy. happy hiking!

Shorepine Bog Trail
It’s fascinating to be able to meander through a bog and stay dry. In some parts of the to trees seem to be encroaching. In others they have died. The amount of water flowing through the area is impressive. And more so when large flows disappear under the broad walk. It’s cool to bend down and examine the little bog plants. This trail is a fine way to explore an often overlooked ecosystem.

Pacific Rim Traverse
Was mostly a beach walk, and was well worth it during sunset hour. Saw hardly anybody and got to enjoy a quiet, beach like afternoon/evening. Could do most of it barefoot. Especially In the warmer months

Wickaninnish Beach
We started on this walk yesterday but were completely sidetracked. There was a highway of mostly ravens, but some eagles heading south and essentially stopping over the visitor center (which is closed). There 50-60 ravens circling around overhead. It seems there was some pairing off. They would harass the eagles into leaving. Fascinating. Today we walked the beach up to the river. The light was coming through the waves as we returned. Magical. There was a carcass (maybe seal) that brought everyone out. One immature eagle and 8-10 ravens were feeding. They were working hard to pull the flesh from the carcass ( using wings to ad umph). There were at least 10 eagles in various places very close by. A mix of mature and immature eagles. U love being able to walk so far in the beach without having to to cross wet crossings.
