I've never experienced such community love. Every Wednesday they get together for a community wide "festival" That is held at the plaza. Food trucks, live music, nearby stores attract over 800 people with their lawn chairs. Chairs the main attraction is each other. Folks just sit down and start talking. Enjoying the food and the music. This is what downtown's across America want to look like. Diverse, united, fun.

Sonoma is a great little town. Lots of places to taste wine but expensive. We are used to trying for free and then buying what you like.

Loved walking through the park like setting with all the flowers, benches, trees and beauty of buildings mixed with nature. Surrounding the square is a great mixture of history, wineries, shops and restaurants. A great way to spend the day!

Sonoma Plaza in downtown Sonoma is a fantastic place to visit! It's a beautiful park with a well preserved historical building and lots of shops, wineries and restaurants. You can walk around, eat delicious food. It's a perfect mix of history, culture, and yummy food. There are bathrooms next to the amphitheater. I highly recommend it!

I love spending time at the square. There are a ton of restaurants, bakeries, and shops to occupy your time, plus the square itself is a wonderful place for a picnic. If you're here on a Tuesday night there's also a fun festival with a street food and music!

Always a good place to visit. The roses were blooming and there were a few ducks in the duck pond. I love to get a coffee and a pastry at the Basque Bakery and then sit in the park. The Mission looked beautiful today, too, with lots of poppies in bloom.

Such a wonderful clean park rich in history. Ww were there during the music festival and the whole place had a wonderful community vibe. Great access to good food vendors and quiet seating.

If you like historical sites and/or taking pictures you should consider dropping by the plaza. The court house, Presidio, Mission, Blue Inn and Bear Rebellion Statue are all right there. The General Vallejo Home and Train Depot Museum are within easy walking distance of the square. Presidio has nice displays. Mission has some displays, a chapel and mission paintings from the 1800s. The Square has lots of shops and eateries. Went on a Friday in April and place was busy. Imagine weekends would be pretty packed.

Really good square, on Tuesday from 5-8 they have the farmers market and live music/food trucks/stands. Fun experience if your visiting during the week. It is very quiet and most spots around don't open until 11am.

Sonoma is a beautiful town in the Valley of the Moon, just over the hills from Napa Valley. It is one of California's best wine regions. The center of the town is old and beautiful, with a green central park surrounded by shops, restaurants, wine tasting rooms, a theater, and more. There are some historical places of interest right in the center of town: the Sonoma Mission, and Presidio of Sonoma where the Mexican army gave up without a fight in the Bear Revolt to claim California for the US. There are many great wineries in Sonoma Valley, with an emphasis on zinfandel. A visit to Jack London State Park is recommended.

I have lived in sonoma for 37 years and the plaza is always welcoming and beautiful. There is something for everyone there. Great food, parks, and even a free daddy day care (town square). Great place for the family or a getaway with friends.

Throughout plaza park goers (couples, families, small groups) gather- laying out blankets, chairs, some with their own mini picnic tables, others go all out decorating with e-lamps, flowers. Pack picnic food/wine or enjoy pop-up food/beverage vendors or grab “to-go”from local restaurants on square. Also lining plaza are pop-up stands: Farmers market produce, jewelry, soap, local crafts, etc. Relaxing Tuesday summer night in wine country.

A short drive from Santa Rosa through the beautiful wine country, my wife and I made it to our destination at a store in the Sonoma Plaza. It was a great weekend excursion that even a rainy day could not dampen. The square has many shops and restaurants to explore. There were many people enjoying the day and parking was not too bad. Alot of people were walking their dogs there and Pets and people were all having a spectacular experience.

My favorite place to go put of the city also if you have friends visiting town it’s the best place to go and with kids too! You have so many options to eat, wineries close by, also places that sells wine, ice cream, shopping and more! The plaza it’s an amazing place they also has parking around the plaza and for me every time I go there it’s easy to park.

This plaza is nice. Inside the "square" / plaza there is a park with pond and there are ducks during our visit...don't know if they are there all the time. There are two playgrounds. The playground we were at has sandy ground..be prepared the tiny feet to track those sand inside shoes/socks 🫣 lots of shops and boutique. Nice and clean bathroom behind the historic building. Please support the boutique to keep them afloat.

U mostly only go through it for the ice cream shop, and Pokémon GO but, is it really pretty place,volunteer opportunities and amenities, it can get super crowded. There's never enough parking and I advise against going there at night. Unless you're a drinker.

Historical center of Sonoma is undeniably charming and beautiful place. 1800’s building surround the little park offering everything you may want from strolling downtown. Here you will find wine tasting rooms, the best restaurants in the area, art galleries, shopping and even little museum. Absolutely charming place it is!

A unique tour and tasting experience, hosted by a very talented actor portraying the winery’s founder. So much great history and so many interesting stories. Sure, it’s a more “commercial” experience than you’ll get at the smaller wineries, but they do it well. Enjoyed touring the exquisite grounds and beautifully decorated tasting rooms. Oh, and the wines were enjoyable as well!

This is five stars for the venue and service itself. It's a historic piece of property with so much to look at. The service here is stellar, very attentive and friendly. The wines are solid, they aren't my favorite but there are a few that were enjoyable. There's a lot to choose from so you'll likely find something that you can enjoy. We visited as part of a trolley tour through multiple places and this was the best of the ones we visited.

Was happily surprised by my visit a few months ago. When you pull it it feels as it may be a tourist focused winery. However, as you get settled in you are treated to a nice relaxing experience with good wine and service. Recommend to add to a visit to the area

This is an absolute must if you are ever in Napa or Sonoma! Our tour guide, Don was so personable and heartfelt… It was the best visit we had! We went from laughing, to at one point, having tears in our eyes from the moving stories about the winery and their history. Not to mention, their wine was very unique, and of very high-quality. If you have ever seen their fun packaging, you would know they make the sheriff wine! One of the most beautiful locations we visited while in wine country. The outdoor is absolutely exquisite and the inside has so many unique rooms. You’ll think you’re in a movie! 10/10 recommend!

I had a good time. I took the Barrel Tasting & Winery Tour, it was entertaining but some times it felt too long with the stories.

Another beautiful California Vin-yard with some history to match. We just tasted one wine, but ended up buying a bottle to take home. Definitely worth a stop, wish we had more time to stay and relax. Next time.

The two hour barrel tasting tour is a waste of time and money. It is a “themed” tour. Meaning our tour guide was playing the part of the original owner, telling stories of how he came to America and moved across the land to California. What should have been a 10 minute explanation was a one hour, boring experience. I know he was trying hard but it just did not work. We learned nothing about the wine itself, only how the winery came about. We only tasted one wine out of the barrel and it was terrible. You do get to taste 5-6 different wines, but they were not that good. If you really want to go, I recommend doing a tasting at the bar and move on. But, more than anything I recommend to the operators to ditch the theme and top hats.

An amazing experience at Buena Vista and even better scenery. Had a private tasting in one of their rooms this afternoon with Don, who was an amazing host and not only a wealth of knowledge for the product, but the history of the winery itself. Do yourself a favor and don't miss this winery on any of your tours around the napa area.

Not only amazing wine and Champagne, the winery, the staff and the serenity of Buena Vista is superb! The staff is so inviting and full of life, you can tell they are happy being employed there and they are so thoughtful and kind. They are dog friendly and everyone who works there stops to say hello to our dogs. Everytime we have visitors, we take them to Buena Vista winery for an amazing, memorable time.

What a beautiful winery! Parking is a little far, but it’s a nice walk. Our host was very nice and informed when we did a wine tasting. All the wine we tasted was delicious and I’m picky. Very unique for being the oldest.

Lovely little vineyard, the staff were very friendly & knowledgeable. I would say you would want to be a member to make the most of this place. There are no fees to join just an obligation to buy a certain amount of bottles every few months. But that membership can get you a number of free wine tastings that can cost around $220 a go. So membership is def worth it, if you’re only within an hour or more drive away.

What a tour! Take the winery tour, not a sit down tasting. This is the oldest winery on the West Coast. The buildings are stone and the caves are fascinating. Your guide will share information with you and can ask questions, but you get to try their wines all along the hour plus tour. They are pricey, but well made and delicious, as they source their grapes from the best areas of Napa and Sonoma.

This was our favorite wine of all of the tastings we had in Sonoma! The grounds were beautiful and very historic to Sonoma Valley. The tasting was amazing as we sampled everything, mostly reds. Although, their Chardonnay was pretty amazing, as well! The Sheriff was our absolute favorite! Such a smooth bold red blend made of Petite Sirah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Grenache, Syrah, Petite Verdot, Mission and Cabernet Franc. We became wine club members as to be able to continue to purchase the Sheriff. We have Buena Vista available in our state but not the Sheriff. We will be able to enjoy our favorite souvenir of our Sonoma trip well into winter!

The best wine tasting experience we've ever had. Absolutely beautiful location with a rich history. Thoroughly enjoyed our host who had excellent knowledge of the wines and was very flexible in the selection of wines that best suited our palettes. Did I mention excellent wines?

We really like this winery and have to compliment the staff as well. We got right in and we're immediately seated. We found our solliminer to be very knowledgeable and funny. The wine was reasonably priced However, the ambiance of the winery was really took the cake. They served all of our family and we enjoyed our time here. Definitely worth the drive from the Bay area.

5 stars for the property and service! Take time to explore the entire property and various buildings. They have a hedge maze but we ran out of time. Wine is difficult to rate but they have an extensive menu with reasonable prices. We did not like anything on the tasting menu but they let us try a few others and really enjoyed the Syrah. They shipped for $5 flat and our wine was delivered quickly.

We had the best wine tasting experience with Milli She was an amazing host. We ended up leaving with 4 bottles of Champaign and planning to order few cases of wine. Thank you Milli for making our experience so special.

We chose this winery because it was pet friendly and has good reviews. It did not disappoint and we had so much fun at this winery. They have a nice outdoor seating area overlooking their vineyard and a small lake and the vibe is very chill and family friendly. All of the staff is really nice and very friendly.

Such a wonderful experience! My husband and I came here for one of our first stops during our honeymoon and absolutely loved it! The terrace is gorgeous and the wines are lovely & affordable for the quality! We will definitely be back!

My friend and I did the winter cave tour and I would absolutely recommend it! We got to learn about how the vineyard has worked hard to maintain sustainable farming practices! We were the only ones who booked it (Thursday early afternoon) and our host, Kat was wonderful! She taught us so much about the vineyard/wine. The wine was amazing and Kat made sure we had an unforgettable experience. Definitely will be back!!

Gundlach Bundschu is an exceptional winery located in the heart of Sonoma, California. The winery boasts breathtaking surroundings that are perfect for a lovely winery experience. The staff is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, and Kent provided excellent service during our visit. What stood out to me most about Gundlach Bundschu were the distinct wines. Each wine had its unique flavor profile, and it was clear that the winemakers paid close attention to every detail during the production process. The Rose, in particular, was outstanding, and I highly recommend trying it during your visit. Overall, I had a fantastic experience at Gundlach Bundschu and am already looking forward to my next trip to the vineyard. If you're looking for a beautiful winery with exceptional wines and fantastic service, I highly recommend a visit to Gundlach Bundschu.

What a wonderful winery. I visited here on my honeymoon years ago, and returned for a girls getaway. It remains the beautiful, family-owned vineyard I remembered, but has improved over time with updated tasting rooms and sustainable farming practices. We took the Pinz tour and loved being in the vineyards to hear about the history and the current agricultural practices. It included a wonderful tasting, with wine and food, in a pretty pavilion out in the fields. Highly recommend!

My husband and I very much enjoyed the Winter Wine Cave tour. Even though it was a rainy, chilly day, our tour guide Bob Bundschu made the experience warm and welcoming. Good wines in a laid back setting. Take the cave tour and learn not just about the winery's history, but about winemaking...and just about anything else you ask about! Spring is beautiful...which is February believe it or not.

Really underwhelmed but the experience. We called ahead of time to say we were gonna be late and the staff on the phone said that if we were a little outside of the waiting period (30min) that it wouldn’t be a big issue and they’d slot us in to our tasting. The traffic was bad that day so we got there 35 minutes after and the reception was exactly the opposite of what we heard on the phone. They said we completely missed our tasting and the only thing they could offer were some tables outside where you had to walk up a big hill. Instead of the tasting we bought a pretty underwhelming bottle and split amongst ourselves. Feels too big of an operation to prioritize service and quality - either in hospitality or the wine. The kicker were the portable bathrooms. For such a nice place you’d at least expect easy access to a nice bathroom. Won’t be coming here anytime soon.

My friends and I agree, I've seen a good amount of wineries and this is one of my favorites. The cave tour tasting was excellent, along with several wines.

Founded in 1858, this undoubtedly is one of the oldest wineries in California. We had a nice lazy stroll across the expansive property and then sat down to savour some of the wine varieties produced here with the grapes grown in the vast organic vineyards along with some cheese, bread and dried fruits. The experience was wonderful and the attention and care provided to us by Ken was so informative and witty and made us carry back warm memories of this place!

Had such a great time on our tour with Kent! He was such an amazing tour guide for the caves. He was knowledgeable in answering all our questions about the wine making process and quick with a joke. He made us all feel like old friends and was so welcoming to our group.

You can tell that the people who work there really enjoy their job and have a passion for the Vineyard. I am taking friends there next week for the cave tour. We did the tour of the winery and got to see the caves and try ~4-5 different wines. We did the cave tour + tasting. We got to hear about the various grapes and wines, as well as the history of the property (6th generation wine makers!). The views are beautiful. The wines were also good, though not outstanding. Overall, it felt a bit overpriced for what you are getting

So beautiful! The building was gorgeous and the garden/courtyard was lovely. Everything was expertly maintained and restored. Certainly worth small $3 fee.

The staff were great and knowledgeable about the location. Had to visit to to check it off of my mission tours. Been to a dozen missions and they were the 1st ones to mention they had a mission passport book that you can have stamped as you go to the missions. As far as the other missions, it was on the smaller side. No cost since it's a state park.

This mission was very well done. They had lots of historical exhibits, great content, and new fun facts from California’s history. For example, we learned that the Bear Flag Revolt took place in Sonoma right out front which led to California getting the flag it has today. We were grateful that the ticket here also let you get into General Vallejo’s house across town.

I think I've been to every mission in California. Sonoma has the furthest north mission in the chain. A well informed ranger gave me and my group a wonderful, historical overview of the mission as we entered. Really nicely done.

See early California history in the town of Sonoma. Museum fee is $2.00 for children and $3.00 over 17 years old. A great way to spend a day.

Didn't really know what I was visiting here, I was brought along with the extended family. That being said it was a very enjoyable experience. The tour guide made the trip, he was very knowledgeable and witty. I forget his name but he was fantastic at his job.

We love a good piece of history and architecture. This place is both! While walking around Sonoma with our couple for their engagement photos, we happened by this spot. As soon as we saw it we knew it was going to make for an excellent backdrop. Always stop and look at the simple beauty around you. This place is worth a visit.

It's always special to visit a California mission for the first time. The grounds and interior are very nice and the staff is most friendly. My family and I truly enjoyed this visit.

Mission San Francisco de Solano (in Sonoma), the last mission. Do not miss the State Historic Park across the street.

San Francisco Solano Mission is a beautiful piece of California history. The collection of watercolor paintings is awesome. It's definitely worth the $3 entry fee.

One of my first experiences in the Sonoma area was at Scribe. The day we were there, a chef was there to serve food paired with the wine selection. It is one of the most beautiful and romantic settings. Scribe embodies the California style perfectly. Since 2020 I am unsure of how strict access is with each winery but I believe you need to be a member to enjoy Scribe. If you live in the area, I would say it is definitely worth it!

We are driving away from our first-ever experience at Scribe — it was absolutely beautiful and unprecedented. The wines are incredible, the garden snacks deserve awards, and the staff are very kind and welcoming. Highly, highly recommend (wine and food lovers, rejoice)! Thank you all for having us!

This is such a fu-fu wine spot. Only members are allowed tastings, and they're not included in the membership. That being said: they're phenomenal! The charcuterie and food provided is exquisite, like wow! The wine here is also good (not the best, but good). Staff is very friendly and the spot is dog-friendly. Parking is fine, could be better. The view is gorgeous. We like to bring our BEST friends and family who're visiting here. It's our goto "look how great Napa/Sonoma is" location. You really can't go wrong. If you're into a very tailored, fu fu, nice picnic-style wine tasting experience outdoors (with your dog too!), I highly recommend this winery.

If I could give Scribe more stars, I would. Went there with a group for a lunch and wine pairing. We had our little slice of paradise for those few hours. Both the wine and food were simply amazing and the views are to die for! The interior design made me want to move in. Melanie made sure we had a great time! Can’t wait to go back.

I went for the first time recently and have to say it is one of the most beautiful and welcoming winery’s I have ever been. The staff is amazing and the wine and food is an added bonus. The food is fresh from their garden. The wine is wonderful, we chose the rose tastings. The hacienda is beautiful with the flowers and palm trees covering the landscape. I wish I could live there😎❤️.

We just became members recently and visited for the first time this past Saturday. I was greeted by a very friendly brunette woman who gave me a glass of rosé on the spot and invited us in. We were blown away with the grounds, the staff, and more. It feels like a mini vacation to visit here. They were super nice about our dog joining us outside and encouraged us to explore. We left smiling and looking forward to visiting again.

Could not have been more delighted with our food/wine pairing here! We made a reservation for a Saturday afternoon several weeks in advance, and had great seats under umbrellas outside the hacienda. Our server was lovely, and the food and wine were top notch. The Chardonnay is one of the best you’ll have, as is the rosé! Plus, the food is tasty and light, nothing too heavy but it’s plenty to keep you sustained during wine tasting. We loved the focaccia and the hummus especially!

My partner and I decided to become members at Scribe so that we could visit with friends during a birthday trip that we have planned for December (Scribe has only been accepting reservations from their members since the pandemic). We’ve never tried any of their wines before and joined based off of what we saw in their online wine shop and are we glad we did! We made a day trip up to Sonoma this weekend in order to celebrate a very long July and pick up our Summer Allocation and from the minute we drove up, we were instantly relaxed. The grounds are absolutely beautiful and full of a variety of plants, and the Hacienda is the perfect blend of historical and modern. Our table was situated on the front porch of the Hacienda, facing part of the vineyard and palm tree-lined driveway and we could not stop obsessing over the view. Our sommelier, Brigitte, was down to earth, funny, and incredibly knowledgeable about the wines we were tasting. Everything we tried was delicious including the huge board of food that came with our tasting! Our favorites were the rosé pét-nat (aka Pet Nasty according to Brigitte), the tomato and chèvre toast, and the corn fritters. The only complaint we have is that we wish Scribe offered their members some amount of complimentary tastings like a lot of the other wineries do. However, the amount of wine and food provided (for the Hacienda tasting at least) definitely justifies the price per person. We are very excited to continue on with our membership and pay many a visit to the winery!

My wife and I recently visited Scribe on our Anniversary and we had an incredible time. Aaron took care of us and we couldn’t have felt more comfortable and pleased with our experience. Wine and pairings were top notch. Would come back and definitely reccomended.

This was my first time at this winery and really enjoyed the laid back casual vibe. There was outdoor seating with umbrellas. And even though we had just been to a different winery about 15 minutes away and had experienced some breeziness, it was calm and very pleasant at Scribe. They greeted us with pours of Rosé of Pinot Noir and plenty of bites to go along with our wine tasting. I only wish that they had an area where guests could relax and wander on the grass so that we weren’t limited to our seating area only.

I lovvvve this place. The wine, food, and atmosphere are all amazing. It's a total Sonoma gem and I am so glad I stumbled upon it via google maps. They're extremely accommodating and have a great garden and vineyard. The food is very creative, seasonal, and delicious. Make sure you make reservations over the phone to get a spot! Also dog friendly.

Three Sticks is a small, cozy yet fashionable winery. Their adobes are formed like a Spanish village where you have pockets of pretty decor both indoors and outdoors. Our group had the backyard which had lovely lights hanging with beautiful Japanese maple trees. And their pinot was quite marvelous. Loved the experience!

Three Sticks is one of those places where I want to take all my friends and family to because they're so amazing but I also want to keep it as my little secret because I'm afraid the place might lose its charm if it gets too popular. While I still love Napa, it's definitely gotten a lot more commercialized and touristy over the years so we've been looking for a new place to call it our new home base..and this is it! Three Sticks has everything I was looking for in a club membership: phenomenal wine, people, and venue. I don't need to go into depth about how delicious their wine is because they're worth every penny. I've been there twice already and omg the PEOPLE! Julia, Julie, and Kathy were all so welcoming, friendly, and knowledgeable - making us feel right at home, and going above and beyond to make our experience so special and memorable. We also loved hearing their stories and perspectives. We are very grateful to have found this little gem and so exicted to try their next release!

As part of a girls weekend, we visited 3 Sticks Adobe for a tasting. Only a short walk from Sonoma Plaza - very easy to add to your day of exploring. A truly spectacular experience - our hostess was knowledgeable and engaging. We tasted multiple wines, sampled food, and learned about about the growing techniques and why specific wines pair well with specific foods. The Adobe itself was gorgeous - a secluded garden. Highly recommend this experience.

Wow, this is a neat spot. We visited for a tasting as part of a girls getaway and had a great visit. The Adobe is so tranquil and beautiful. Our hostess was funny, friendly, and so delighted to share the wines and answer our (plentiful) questions. Wonderful wine, paired with food samples, discussions of how and why each wines pair with certain food, learning about the soil and geography of the vineyard, all in beautiful surroundings. Highly recommend!

Right across the street from the Sonoma hotel to your right. Easy to miss as it's a little hidden. Inside is nice but the outdoor spaces are very welcoming and peaceful. Tried the cheese plate and all three shades of vino. My favorite was the chardonnay. Bottles are bit pricey but picked one up for 70.00 anyway. I say check it out.

I toured six wineries while in Sonoma last week and this one was my favorite! My husband and I did a tasting in the cottage at the Adobe and it was beautiful! This was the only winery that actually provided cards with information about each of the wines we were tasting. Rob Busson was an AMAZING host! He was very knowledgeable on the wine making process and all of the Three Sticks wines. We loved the wines and the tasting so much that we are now wine club members! I HIGHLY recommend doing a wine tasting here and ask for Rob Busson because he was the best host we had while in Sonoma. He really made the tasting special for my birthday. Thank you!

Although the Sampling rooms are located just off the main town square you enter a zone of tranquility. We went to the Member's area towards the back in a marquee. Helen gave us a great selection to taste. There's no hard selling that I've experienced in other establishments.

We had a private tasting here. It was such a fun experience from the wine tour to the tasting itself. The Chardonnay is a must try and bring home! :)

Phenomenal tasting, loved that each tasting group gets a personal host. Our host was amazing and knew so much about the wine and vineyards owned by Three Sticks. Would absolutely go back if we end up in Sonoma again. Also, a huge perk is being in walking distance to Sonoma plaza.

The room was fine, the price was fine, and the location was great. The breakfast was disappointing. We've been to Best Western's recently and had a wonderful breakfast. This was continental style, far below what one would expect in a Best Western. When the jam is limited to mixed fruit or grape, you know the score. The lady monitoring the breakfast was awesome, friendly and helpful.

Overall, a solid stay - Not super fancy but pretty good, had its pluses and minuses. Plus side: location!!, jetted tub in the room, good sized room. Whole Foods across the street was perfect to grab a few snacks and local bath salts for the tub. Short pleasant walk to the plaza/square with tasting rooms, restaurants, nice scenery. These advantages were really awesome. On the other hand, the hotel felt very basic, but most importantly I wasn’t a fan of the shampoos, etc and the pillows were the worst ever! Ouch! My neck was NOT happy. On balance, it was reasonably priced for an excellent location, felt safe and clean, so would recommend - if you bring your own pillow.😂

This hotel is conveniently located close to Sonoma's center. The room we stayed in was spacious and clean, and the bed was pretty comfortable. The breakfast options were mediocre, and it was disappointing that they offered prepackaged breakfast sandwiches and burritos instead of freshly-prepared breakfast items. The bagels and muffins seemed to be fresh and local, though. There is no gym, though they advertise one on their website. There was also a loud man who was possibly homeless and very disturbing circulating the parking lot of the gas station right next door.

This hotel is perfectly located to park and walk everywhere! The pool and hot tub area along with each room having a balcony is lovely. I will say, though the rooms are nice, the bathrooms (specifically toilet/tub area) could stand to be updated.

Went above and beyond what I would normally expect from a Best Western. Location is in easy walking distance from anything you might need, as well as downtown shopping. Rooms were spacious, clean, and cozy. I especially appreciated the fireplace after we did a late night hut tub excursion. Staff was friendly and helpful, and we really liked the in house specialty coffee drinks. If I had one complaint, it would be the continental breakfast being somewhat lackluster, but its perfectly fine if you are just looking for something to grab and go.

Excellent hotel, comfortable and spacious room, central location close to many restaurants, shops, art galleries and wine tasting cellars in Sonoma. There is a Whole Foods market right across the street. Overall, a very good experience. Highly recommended.

despite the great reviews, I can can guarantee you that this place is a dump. Very dark outdated rooms dingy with no light. Not a USB port to be found. Not a supplemental plug-in for any devices. The carpet seems a little scary. The bed is basically caved in and not comfortable. it's disappointing that we can't rely on The reviews to be objective, and honest. In short, every corporation with their name associated to this property should be ashamed. I've heard that some of the rooms have undergone refurbishment and are OK. Mine should be condemned.

The location was very good, room newly renovated and clean but expensive considering things overall. Just felt that the high price was due to the location, and did not get value in the room. It was hard to find parking, hard to get to the room via the narrow and not well placed stairways, heater a bit weak and noisy, lack of a counter top in the shower/toilet area, hated the coconut scent of the argra (sp?) amenities, which I suspect tended to attract insects outside, and breakfast was a disappointment, Extended Stay does better in that regard. Check in was rather arcane, required more paperwork to get a parking permit and saw one guest have to go back to her car to get her partner's ID. Finally, when the cleaning people start work (far too early), makes it harder to navigate the already narrow walkways. I was cold so, it was nice to be able to fire up the provided fire log. Balcony was nice but did not have any view of the pool due to the tree right in front blocking everything.

Beautiful hotel and really lovely, spacious rooms. Very pet friendly with a dog walking trail right to downtown. The hot tub was a little rambunctious and loud. Children should not be allowed in the hot tub, even with parents. Overall... we loved it!

The location and price point of this hotel is ideal. And the staff was wonderful! They were friendly and helpful. The courtyard is a great area to sit and enjoy coffee, tea or a drink. I was pleasantly surprised. Our room was clean and comfortable. They are dated but they were clean and just what we needed.

Great find in the heart of Sonoma. Clean, safe, easy. Walking distance to shops and some of the best restaurants you can find. Beautiful courtyard on the hotel's interior. Simple, easy breakfast. Coffee and cold and hot water are available all the time in the lobby. Will stay here again.

For the price, this place is more than fabulous! Loved the fireplace in the room, heater timer in the bathroom, and the beautiful courtyard. The fire pit and hot tub were enjoyable, and the breakfast was simple but great! Easy walking distance to the square. Great little spot!

A great little gem just off the Sonoma square with a path going right to the square. Spacious rooms have a balcony and fireplace. Very clean. The lovely courtyard is heavily planted with a pool, hot tub and patio to enjoy your hot breakfast. Taking into account how affordable it is, I highly recommend this inn.

My overall opinion of facility is one of definite appreciation. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. I only had the opportunity to stay for one night but definitely like to stay there again. The hotel is a little older and all the rooms face out onto a balcony. Some have balconies themselves that face into the quadrangle. Despite the age of the facility, everything worked just as it was supposed to. There are plenty of towels in the rooms and the beds are extremely comfortable. They provide an extremely good breakfast even though it is simple fair. It is fresh and hot of the coffee is excellent. All of this is available in the lobby.

Listen, you aren’t booking at the Ritz so don’t expect that. But if all you need is a clean room to lay your head at night, this is your place! Rating 5 stars for the stay doesn’t mean this is a 5 star hotel it means it’s 5 stars for what it’s advertising and meeting my expectations for that. The hospitality crew were so great! We enjoyed the nightly fire, hot tub and quick breakfast each morning. We basically slept and got ready here and it was perfect. It could use a little deep cleaning and maintenance (I didn’t see the remote for the heater unit and when I opened the control panel the cover to the filter fell off and the filter was really dirty) but nothing overly concerning! And our room was clean and bed made when we came back. We loved the location too! Really central to everything and easy to walk to various places.

Great place to stay for the price. Cheapest around Sonoma, so that’s why I booked a night here. The room had so many windows. Didn’t get to use the pool but it looked nice!

Really happy with our stay here. We stayed three nights and it was comfortable and quiet. There is a grocery store and CVS right across the road, and it is just a few minutes walk to the town centre. Breakfast is good and doesn't close early. Only real complaints: 1) It was very hot when we were there and the AC had trouble keeping up (it was also loud). 2) Would have preferred a proper coffee maker and a microwave in the room (the little mini keurig in the room didn't work, so we just went downstairs to the breakfast area. Did have a fridge). Would gladly stay again.

This property is small and quaint compared to other Best Westerns I've seen. The back pool area has a lot of vegetation around to give it a garden feel. It is quiet and peaceful around the pool with places to sit and opportunities for shade. They have a decent continental breakfast spread. There were good pastries, a couple bread options, a juice option, milk, oat milk, coffee, yogurt, oatmeal/toppings, and jimmy dean sandwiches and burritos. The rooms are average and do what you need them to do. We would all stay here again.

Stayed at a cottage connected to the vineyard. Great place, nice wines in a nice and quaint tasting room. Had a nice outdoor sitting area to enjoy full glasses. Would definitely go back.

This was the perfect ending to our day in wine country. It was peaceful and beautiful. We sat on the patio and had a delicious platter paired with the best Moscato I have ever had. The staff were incredibly friendly and informative. Highly recommend

Tasting was $25 and was with exclusive wines. With 6 tasters, generous pours, nice staff and a couple extra tastes, pretty solid overall. Can also grab a glass and sit on the hillside.

Awesome selection of Sonoma wines from the heart of wine country. This was the Zinfidel experts. We loved everything we tasted. Just magical.

Excellent customer service. The staff was beyond polite and treated us as friends/family. I did wish the tasting included more than just the Zinfandels but it was interesting to see how different the wine tasted with the same grapes but from different regions. The prices are fantastic and the product is delicious.

Found this gem by doing a little research and we were NOT disappointed. The drive up is breathtaking (would love to see it in the dead of Spring) but still a nicely appointed facility with a unique/fun tasting structure. Luis treated us very well and we were able to taste some truly remarkable wines that have a labor of love story behind them.

This is one of the best tours I've ever had. The views and wines were both exceptional and Ivan was a brilliant host. I was glad to see and hear about the ways they use sustainable practices and wildlife management in producing their wines. Highly recommend.

Tucked away from the main roads, Repris provided a serene escape where the focus is solely on creating exceptional wines and providing beautiful places to drink them. The passion and dedication of the people running the vineyard were evident in every aspect of my experience. Upon arrival (and after 3 miles on a one way road), I was immediately captivated by the vineyard's natural beauty. Lush vines stretched as far as the eye could see, and the steep rolling hills added to the picturesque setting. The atmosphere was made even more charming by the presence of Stella, a friendly 15-year-old tabby cat (and the vineyard's resident mouser). Joe took wonderful care of us. Can’t recommend a tasting here enough!

You have got to come here. It was literally the best time I’ve spent with my wife in a very long time. Very casual, informative and defiantly worth the money. Stephen answered all the questions I had before I asked them. He was funny, cool as hell, and really made you feel like you were made to come there. I love Repris and will definitely come back. Absolutely beautiful location and tour. Our guide was great. Only bummer was that none of our tastings were comp'd even though our group purchased around 15 bottles. The brochure stated that only tastings would be comp'd with a membership - although other wineries state this, and still comp tastings.

This place is exceptional. Very well planned tasting with beautiful views, an ATV ride through the vineyards, and cave tour. The wine is fantastic as well. Ryan was our host and is very knowledgeable. The best tasting experience we have had to date.

The BEST overall experience. Touring the vineyard, tasting the grapes, excellent wines, and the views. Ivan was a terrific host. We will definitely be back again.

I wish I could give this six stars. Not only was the wine some of the best we tried during our visit, but the tour was amazing. We took an ATV to the middle of the vineyard for a taste while we learned about the property and history, then went into the caves for a further tour and finished with a tasting with a delicious charcuterie and cheese plate. Our tour guide was outstanding and full of personality. The best experience of all week!

Every part of the experience is top notch. I highly recommend visiting. My first visit led to a membership. The wines are great, the grounds are beautiful, and the staff is great and super knowledgeable (Ryan is awesome!) Many thanks to everyone for making my visits great.

This was the first winery of our trip and one of our favorites. Stunning views as you drive up to the property and more to enjoy during the tour, with several stops including a little stop to a look out point, a tour of some very cool caves, and finishing on top of the building with 360 degree views of the property. Grant was our highly engaging tasting host, a lot of fun to chat with about both the wine and the colorful history of the land. The wines themselves were one of my favorites across the trip and the charcuterie was generously sized and delicious. Highly recommend!

Loved the winery and the tasting tour. Beautiful grounds and expanding with a nice rooftop area and the caves were awesome. And the old style Bordeaux’s and Rhône’s were exceptionally done.

Very nice family vineyard. You can bring outside food to have lunch with your tasting, and you can bring your dog. The three lab cab is very nice as is the chardonnay in steel. They have nice picnic tables as well as outdoor games to play.

Visited on a Saturday afternoon and was packed. Definitely a family place. Hard for servers to pay us much attention. We came for the yard games but advance booking is required. Wine was ok.

“Wine god” took care of us. A refreshing hidden gem that is the exact opposite of stuck up. Really laid back and friendly with some pretty decent wines. Loved the combination of shading and sunshine. The vibes were immaculate with some easy going jams playing in the background and property dogs roaming around (people friendly). Would def come back. Felt more like a Paso Robles country side vibe than a seen-and-be-seen valley vineyard.

Loved it. We signed up for early tastings. We were the first to arrive and we're immediately greeted by these three most friendly labrador dogs of three different colors. They escorted us to a man who greeted us warmly and gave us a quick run down then told us to sit anywhere we liked outside. The dogs then escorted us to our table outside, only asking for pets as reward then plopped on the floor in the sun to nap. We were then served a delicious flight, really enjoyed the experience and the wines

Best Friday afternoon ever! I absolutely love this winery! The staff makes you feel like family, even the dogs love you instantly. It was the most relaxed I've been in years!!! The wine was delicious! Bob the "wine God" was knowledgeable and entertaining!

Took my sister here for her Bachelorette winery tour we put together and so happy we did! We had the Wine God aka Bob as our server and he made the visit extra fun! He gave us a tour of the cellar room and took several photos for us at the end of our wine tasting! The Wine is delicious the farm is gorgeous and very family friendly! A couple of us became Wine members because every Wine we tried was that good! They also have dogs everywhere and goats that greet you at the entrance which was a plesant surprise!

This is a great place to go for an afternoon of wine tasting. It's family friendly, dog friendly, and probably the most unpretentious winery in Northern California. The wines are great and the staff is super friendly. Spent the afternoon there today listening to live jazz and taking pictures. Update: They reopened a few months ago after a fire early in the year burned the tasting room to the ground. There is currently no tasting room, but they are planning to rebuild one. They have somewhat expanded their outdoor tasting area and can seat quite a large number of people outside.

A really pleasant spot on a balmy autumn day. We wandered in on a whim, and were happy to find a friendly and unpretentious winery with plenty of nice wine. There's a great outdoor seating area with expansive views. The winery dogs were a nice bonus.

We've been coming for years and love this place! The wine membership is great. They are incredibly kid friendly. Our kids love playing with the dogs. Bob takes care of us with tastings. Highly recommend!

My husband and I recently visited Larson’s Family Winery and our expectations were truly exceeded. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that this place was committed to creating a family-friendly and pet-friendly environment. Which is sooo difficult to time in Sonoma or Napa. The staff went out of their way to accommodate our little boy and our dog. Bob was incredible, not just with his wine knowledge, and winery history, but just a great human being in general. Such a great experience with the beautiful views and great wines! We stumbled upon this winery after another place turned us away because we had our 10 month old with us. We called ahead to Nicholson Ranch to see if it was okay to bring our son to a tasting and spoke with Mike. He was extremely friendly and welcomed us with our son. Once we arrived, Liam led our tasting and was so knowledgeable and helpful. The wines are fantastic but the staff made the experience so enjoyable! We came as new guests and left as wine club members thanks to the phenomenal staff and the best Pinot Noir!

Wonderful setting with an authentic, vintage outtake on wine making as a whole. You'll get best of both worlds from the renowned Cabernets of Napa County, with the depth of Sonoma Countys Pinot Noir. Deepak has a host of knowledge he is eager to provide. A man with a big and gentle heart whose friendly personality is sure to warm you as much as the delightful wines! A must for anyone visiting the Napa/Sonoma areas and interested in quite the experience!

This place is a must if you are in Sonoma. The wine is fantastic(organic too)and the grounds are amazing. My wife and I had the best experience with Arthur on a cave tour. He was knowledgeable, funny and just an absolute joy. Thank you for such a great experience.

The staff was absolutely fantastic, so friendly and informative. You could see how passionate they are about the wines and the farming behind the wines. The wines were also stunning, I personally loved the 2016 Sonoma Valley Pinot Noir, but I was not disappointed with any of them. My recommendation, try to come around sunset, we lucked out and accidentally showed up around that time and were treated to a stunning view that took all my thoughts away except for wow.

Arthur made our day! This was the first winery of the day and we had a wonderful experience. The tasting was delicious, the wines were full of flavor, and Arthur was exceptionally knowledgeable. My sister had visited this winery several years ago and recommended it. Very pretty scenery and grounds. I would definitely go again!

I’ve visited Nicholson Ranch twice (once in 2011 and once in 2019) and had a great experience both times. Friendly staff and delicious Old World style wines. We showed up just as they were closing this time, unfortunately, but they were kind enough to give us a free pour of their 2013 Pinot Noir and let us wander around the grounds. We stopped in on our travels, we thought a wine tasting would be a nice way to start our trip to the area. The main road sign states that they are open for tastings from 10-6, we walked in at 3:00pm (on a Thursday.) We did not have a reservation. We walked into the tasting room which had ZERO occupants other than the lady working. The woman informed us that she was by herself and she had a tasting coming in “right now.” There was no one else on the property. After making a sarcastic comment “yeah, it seems busy.” She reluctantly went to offer us a tasting. I was not in the mood to spend $50 for a wine tasting in a place which we were not welcome. The tasting room was hot and smelled like an antique store. I gave a star because the outside area looked cute and cozy. Overall, it was a very disappointing unwelcome experience. I can not speak on the wine, it may be great? We didn’t get a chance to find out.

We were actually just driving by and noticed this beautiful winery on top of a hill between Napa and sanoma! The second we pulled in, we were greeted by Dana! Super sweet and awesome and helped us find what we were looking for. Went out of her way for us. Loved the service and the wine.

Update: We have now been members for about two years. We continue to love Nicholson's. It's always a great experience every time we go, and we have brought several friends who also have really liked it. We LOVE Nicholson Ranch. The property is very beautiful and really has that family-owned feeling. Perfect place to spend a couple hours sipping great wine and enjoying the views of the vineyard. Both their Chardonnays and their Pinot Noirs are great. They also have some Merlots and Syrahs. Everyone that works there is very friendly and knowledgeable. You can also get some snacks (e.g., cheese platter) or do a tour of the property

My wife has been there many times and I was lucky enough to experience my first visit. The property was beautiful! Our guide Chris was great and we were able to meet Deepak! What an awesome experience! Can’t wait to go back!

Super nice and knowledgeable staff. The cave tour was great. The property is gorgeous. Really unique way of making wine. The pinot noir was the best by far! But the shyrah was also quite good. Totally worth stopping by.

I hardly leave reviews, but this was an amazing experience. We ended up here through Platypus tours. Debbie was our guide at Nicholson. She provided us such am engaging time and involved every person in the tour. She gave us all nick names and provided such a great education, primarily about the geology of the area and also about the history of the winery. I would highly recommend.

We came here close to closing. The gentleman who helped us was very kind offering insights into the types of wine Nicholson has available as well as food in the area to try. I haven’t been here during the day but friends of mine have. This place is perfect and the scenery is great during the day. We tried multiple wines, all of them were great. I highly recommend this place for a group or a small group of people.

If you want a really nice tasting experience,with a very nice service and conversation, this is the place. Not crowded, not fancy but very lovelly. I would liked some snacks to the menu. Other than that, an amazing experience.

The Nicholson Ranch winery is a quaint little winery with beautiful grounds and a very knowledgeable staff. I loved the little greek chapel on the hill and beautiful little pond area for tastings. The patio and personal service was fantastic for our small group, they host large groups both inside and outside as well. The winery survived last year's fires, but the main house had been lost to the fire as was a portion of their vines. You could tell owner Deepak has a passion for wine and his staff are knowledgeable, patient, and entertaining. There is plenty of parking available, we had a great time here.

Not sure why this place has so many good reviews. Yes, the building and grounds are pretty and staff was nice. However, it is a complete waste of money and there are much better wineries in the area. Every wine tasting pour was half of the standard amount. Got about 1 1/2 sips of each wine. Also, they pour all 6 wines in the same wine glass without ever cleaning it...gross. For a Sonoma winery they should at least be switching your glass when going from whites to reds. For this area I expect much better. Reached out to them about my experience and they never got back to me.

We dropped by the Sabastini Winery and while we didn’t have an appointment or reservation, sat with a bottle of their delicious wine and enjoyed sipping and chatting as we took in the ambience of their gorgeous wine tasting bar and dining room

This was our first stop on our Sonoma wine tasting day and we were glad it was first as it set a pretty high bar for all of those to follow. The tasting room was nice and the staff was very friendly. We were surprised by the wines and enjoyed them so much every couple bought a bottle or who to take home with them.

Very good wine with great staff at their tasting room. If you come here I’d recommend becoming a foley food and wine society member and visiting the sister wineries for free tastings and a discount on wines. The foley society wineries are always a good way to entertain friends and family

We arrived at the tasting room without an appointment just before closing. We were not expecting an opportunity for a tasting or even a glass to enjoy outside. Vic appeared from the back and asked if he could help. His courteous and polite approach created a very positive image of the winery for us immediately. He proceeded to pour us each a glass and invited us to sit at a shaded table. This type of customer relations should not be overlooked or undervalued and it was very much appreciated. BTW, the wine is outstanding as well!!

Place was awesome we missed out on scheduling the Cabernet Corner however we still had a tasting at the bar with the rep. Chris, he's pretty cool guy. It was really informative, he know his sh!t, is attentive and great conversationalist.

Good wine, although some were not great. Good enough service. Not much was offered in the tasting outside of the menu, which didn’t make me want to purchase any wines or join the club. Nice atmosphere outside of the building.

This is our go-to for bring out of town friends and family. It has a lovely ambiance and large wine variety, with a great tasting experience rolled into the wine club membership. Riki is fantastic- so friendly and accommodating. Can't wait for the next time!

We may have to revisit Sebastiani at a later date, but based on our tasting yesterday it was just okay. The property is historic and with downtown Sonoma built up around it so there isn't much in regards to views here. There is a nice fountain out front and picnic tables spread all over with nice areas to sit and enjoy bottles. You can bring your own picnice supplies or buy a array of things on site. If you sit outside on the weekend, you must come back in to the bar for your next wine in your flight, pours for the flights are on the small side and tend to be inconsistent. Inside is cool for it's historical value with a fireplace but overly dark and I wouldn't want to be there on a nice day. Wine can be hit and miss. Some good ones, many average ones. I would revisit another time for a redo but as of now it's meh...

My husband and I visited 3 Wineries on 8/20/23 and Sebastiani was the first and best. We were greeted by Frank who gave us a tour and tasting that was above and beyond our expectations. Frank led us through the cabernet experience with anecdotes and stories for each wine. He was knowledgeable and friendly, and had a true passion for the product. We highly recommend visiting Sebastiani and working with Frank!

One of the oldest wineries in Sonoma which has that captivating historical feel and is certainly one of the most important destinations for tourists to immerse yourself into the history of Sonoma County’s winemaking culture.

Been a winery member for years. I’ve also been to the winery many times. However, I cancelling my wine membership as their customer service as become worse and worse under Foley Wines ownership. One should not have to struggle when attempting to order product. Lack of response to inquiries is also a regular thing.

Sad to give them a poor review as a club member of ten years, but service has gone downhill. The staff used to be one of my favorite parts of Sebastiani, so knowledgeable and friendly. However on our latest visit, the staff member serving us spent more time chatting with colleagues than helping our table (at least 25 mins between pours, making us late to our next reservation). Additionally when we had an issue with our wine club shipment, we were directed to the corporate email vs anyone actually helping us. So disappointed with a place we used to love.

Hands down the best wine tasting experience I’ve ever had, all because of Damien. He was hysterical, knowledgeable and an absolute delight. I’d enjoy wine tasting much more if every place had a tasting host like him. If you are planning on coming here, you have to request him. It will be the most fun wine tasting experience of your life!

Outstanding service from Vic. (Friendly, patient, kind , knowledgeable guy.) The winery itself is in the center of the town . It’s building is gorgeous and the wine ( especially the cherry blossom is super good!) Very relaxed, chilled , authentic winery.

We had a nice time there relaxing next to the fireplace. Nice laid-back place to enjoy some Wine and snacks.

I've been wanting to go here for years but the pandemic hit and never came in. I finally ate here this weekend. We ordered the tomato bisque soup, the grilled cheese with fries, and the pork belly hash. The food portions were small but sufficient. The food overall was nothing special. I expected so much more in the way of taste, quality, and quantity. The pork belly hash was actually quite bland. I wanted mine served with scrambled eggs and the waiter said it comes with fried eggs cooked through. I only asked that the eggs not be runny. The waiter said it is not served that way. The eggs on this dish sat atop the hash and were runny. Probably the best thing about this meal was the bread and butter served with flake salt. The restaurant charged $2.50 for extra butter which was about a heaping tablespoon portion. The grilled cheese sandwich was tasty and was prepared with a quality cheese. We will probably not come back here as we were not impressed at all. If you sit outside be prepared for a lot of pesky flies.

Wow I was so delighted to have this meal. I got the lemon caper trout layered atop garlicky spinach and soft, buttery potatoes. I loved how lemony the base sauce was and I’m always hyped for fresh bread. This is truly a great place if you’re looking for flavor and filling, long lasting lightness especially if you’re there to enjoy wine country. You need food that’ll fill you while not making you sleepy. The service was in point as well.

Overall a very pleasant experience with some tasty food and friendly staff. The only reason I gave 4 instead of 5 stars is that I found the prices to be a bit steep for what you received. The $24 cheese and fruit selection was definitely a bit steep and included one cheese that both my boyfriend and I found very off putting that neither of us ate. The burger was good, as was the shrimp roll, however for $24 neither dish really wowed us enough to justify the steep cost or warrant 5 stars.

We stopped here for lunch while on a wine tasting tour. The burger was good but might have been better with a stronger cheese like goat. The espresso, cookie, and fries were great. The cookie was a special hit. The shrimp roll was good with a lot of shrimp in a local roll which was also good. Service was friendly and prompt and we liked the atmosphere.

I had the cheese board. And it was great! Three types of cheese. One soft and two hard. Very fresh. No fruit but a fig cake instead, fresh pears and cured meats were delicious. But the star of the night was the tender pork cheeks that my boyfriend ordered. Sooo tasty. It reminded me of short ribs

Just celebrated my great aunt's birthday with a large group of our family. They made it easy to organize, let us decorate the tables and order from the regular menu. The service was wonderful from start to finish, with their staff being very attentive and clearing plates and dishes timely. Our orders all pretty much came out together and just as we ordered. The food was good, although I think our burgers were a little undercooked, they still tasted fine. The bacon and fig jam was phenomenal. Their outdoor seating is covered during the winter and it was a nice warm to where we could take off our jackets. It wasn't too loud and we were able to celebrate our great aunt in a wonderful way.

Had a great dinner here after a day full of wine tasting. We tried many things on the menu & they were all delicious. The duck confit is a must & the salad was a nice pairing. If you have room for dessert, the chocolate chip cookies and milkshake were amazing! The place does get busy, would recommend making a reservation.

Wanted to give this place a try, since it has 2k+ review and 4.7 stars. Ordered the duck confit and the scallops with fried polenta cakes. Lamb legs were good , it was my first time trying duck so I went for it and got two legs. Meat was tender and the sauce added a nice flavor. The potatoes were nice. Scallops were nothing spectacular but still good. We didn’t prefer the polenta cakes they weren’t seasoned well and dry and also had a lot of toppings. My biggest issue was the temperature of the food, it wasn’t hot at all it was barely even warm. Did I want to burn my mouth eating ? Of course not but it was as if the food had been sitting out. I’d try this place again, another dish of course but 3 stars for lack of seasoning and food temp. I expected more for the money.

Friday night and the place was cranking! I snuck in at the end of the bar for dinner without a reservation after wine tasting all day, easy when you're a party of one. The very busy bartender was pleasant, attentive, kind to his team and a great host. I went straight for the food and it came out quickly and perfectly timed. I had enough to take some with me and I was on my way. I would return for another full belly of easy, no fuss food.

My steak was a little dry but still enjoyed the meal, as did the rest of my party. This is a spot you won’t regret spending your money at. That being said, the prices are a little pricey but nothing extraordinary! Enjoy.

We came here on a Sunday with a reservation last minute and really loved the experience here! Good: We liked the artisan bread, though it was a very small portion size - would recommend trying the vegan butter! I also loved the grilled Brussel sprouts - those were probably the star of the show and the maple on the pork belly combined with them all was just so tasty! I also liked the croque madame, though it wasn't as amazing or different as the Brussel sprouts - it is a big portion size though. This place also has a very homey rustic feel and it's in Sonoma hotel, so it's a more upscale classy place to be! Bad: There are a lot of people so the service is quite slow - if you're here just to enjoy yourself and sit around then this is a great spot - if you're in a rush not much so. I really did enjoy coming here on a lazy Sunday morning to get the classic brunch experience in downtown Sonoma.

Seemed to be the number one suggested place for us to visit so we did. We didn’t have a reservation so we sat at the bar. We were quickly served by the bartender and she made for a pleasant experience. We started with beef tartare which was fantastic and could have been a meal in itself for one. The duck and flounder were quite tasty and would definitely recommend. It’s a neat little place with quite the bustle of people moving in and out. It’s an older building but unique in its own way. There’s free parking around the city square and side streets. I Can see why so many people suggested it! We’d return.

Been here twice for brunch and sat outside in the patio. Weather was nice. Food was excellent and the service was efficient. I shared the egg sandwich and the pork belly hash. They come around an offer, freshly ground black pepper on your food. I was very happy that they offered decaf espresso cocktails. They brought a candle lit cookie for a birthday at our table. Bathrooms are towards the back of the patio. Street parking was very easy because we came early at 10am on a Sunday. By the time we left, there were not too many spots left. The restaurant also let us be seated early as our original reservation was at 11 AM.

Stopped in for dinner and sat outside which gave us a great view of the square and made for good people watching. The shrimp roll was one of the BEST sandwiches I’ve ever had. It was lighter tasting and delicious. The Tartine was also amazing! Highly recommend!

I feel like I lucked out while in Sonoma for 24 hours because everywhere I ate was SO GOOD. Stopped at TG&TF for lunch and it was excellent! Had the grilled cheese which was delicious. And the chips served with dishes are the best I’ve ever had! Friendly staff and was easy to walk in at lunch without a reservation.

What every Sonoma dining experience is supposed to be, detailed , without stuffy, local and incredible cuisine. Hen house on Tap , with a fluffy quiche and fries, bake Brussels with bacon. Need I say more. Reservations recommended.

Visiting Sonoma for the first time, with so many great choices it's difficult to decide on where to eat. We went for tg&tf. The 2 dishes that everyone says are must have are the duck leg confit and the flounder. Even our waiter recommend them. So we went ahead and did it, along with arugula salad, and a pork belly sandwich. So, to be clear, everything was absolutely delicious and flavorful. The duck leg was juicy, falling off the bone tender, and a delight to eat. The flounder was a perfectly prepared flaky fillet with ever so lightly crispy crust and the potatoes and sauce did not overpower it. Nothing at all to criticize on the preparation, or on the favors. This was an awesome meal. However, was it worth $35 per plate? I'm not so sure. I've prepared flounder myself at home that is just as flaky and crispy. I've smoked chicken thighs that are just as juicy and flavorful, and a duck is just so much easier because it's fattier. I'll concede that the sauces are not something I can do. All said, I thoroughly enjoyed the dinner and would recommend to anyone who is wanting an outing with someone special.

This place will make you feel like you are having fabulous meal at quintessential bistro in Paris on your vacation. If there is Zazie in San Francisco, you have the girl and the fig in Sonoma. We went on a girls trip ( 4 of us ) to celebrate bday and decided to stop at Sonoma to try this place. Since this was my idea to have brunch here based on my pleasant experiences in the past, I was hoping my friends will like this place. And they enjoyed every moment of it . And foods were exceptional, service was seamlessly attentive.

I took my family here while in Sonoma, and it was one of the best meals. Reception was quick, and even though the restaurant was mostly full, it wasn’t too loud to have a conversation. The duck liver mousse was smooth and creamy. The Brussel sprouts and pork belly were a perfect combo - it almost seemed like the pork belly was candied. This could be a meal by itself. The cheese and pate platter was good, but it was overshadowed by the other starters. The mussels were perfect - the white wine and leek sauce paired well and made for tasty frites. Pro tip - you may consider getting all of mussels out and eating it like a soup. The duck confit was recommended, and it did not disappoint. I’m adding this to my rotation for the next time I’m in Sonoma.

2019 Michelin ?? and they serve pinot vior wine in a white wine glass????? I was totally disappointed with the food and their presentation. Paid for a meal that could not even eat.

Another great evening at Cafe La Haye; this time for my daughter's birthday. It is so nice to see the familiar faces of the staff and folks that seem to be locals. All of the specials sounded tempting, as did the menu items. I had the ahi tuna tartare , youngsters (30+!) Had fried cauliflower, husband had chicory salad with persimmons, almond, feta; a good choice! We always try the risotto of the day, which was broccolini and lemon EVOO today. For a minute I thought we would ALL order that, but I went for the pork chops with gnocchi (again), son had spiced chicken and husband had petrale sole. Of course we had the warm almond cake with salted caramel ice cream. (Husband likes his on the side 🙄), but one of us had and enjoyed the cheesecake.

Really tasty food in an unassuming restaurant. Excellent service, attentive but also gives enough time in between check-ins for privacy. Most delicious sole and filet mignon was melt-in-the-mouth good. We were gently nudged towards the yuzu cheesecake which was refreshing.

Easily one of the best restaurants I’ve ever been too! I got the filet mignon and it was cooked and seasoned perfectly. The green beans and potatoes were cream and incredible. The almond cake was not something I would normally gravitate but I ordered it after my sweet waitress recommended it.. it was to die for!!!! The service couldn’t have been any more amazing.. they were so friendly and fast. The chef and his team even checked in to see how everything was. I just wish I lived here so I could come more! I cannot wait to come back! This just made it the best birthday ever for me!

European setting decorated with beautiful art pieces to add to the dining ambience. Wine selection is also a exquisite select. Food is French-American fusion. A small classy restaurant that requires advanced booking to avoid disappointment. Delightful food and drinks experience.

The food was remarkably wonderful with one exception. We are both allergic to chili in any form and we made that extremely clear. Our first course was covered with chili on the otherwise delicious toast. When we told our waitress, she was not particularly sympathetic and there were only two other choices, both of which were also spicy. When we told the owner, he stated that there was nothing spicy on the toast! That particular dish was expensive and quite small and I was quite stunned that they didn't offer to simply remove it from the bill. I have never had a restaurant deal with a situation in that manner. Also, our server barely checked on us even when she was right next to us dealing with other people. Plus it was my sister's birthday and I wanted it to be really special for her. We did not make a big deal out of any of it and simply ate what we could. I have to say that while the food was exceptional, the service and the attitude was most definitely not and I sincerely doubt whether I will ever return to this restaurant because of that. In my opinion, great food is not enough to make a restaurant experience exceptional. We ate at three other restaurants that were exceptional in every way!

One year later on our trip through Sonoma and we had to return to Cafe La Haye. Still as excellent as it was a year ago. Food, service, and wine were all top notch. We were lucky enough to have Ester as our server again. She has such enthusiasm about the menu. Her descriptions of the extensive specials were detailed and spot on. I have no idea how she remembers such fine details of an ever changing menu. A true professional! We started with the chop salad as a starter, which I could have every day and not get tired of. I returned to the pork chop for my main, which was a generous cut. My partner had the chicken special, which was beyond generous in size and very tasty. We cheated again this time and had dessert. That butterscotch pudding is utter perfection. We can’t wait to return next year during our annual trip through Sonoma.

This place is absolutely fantastic! I strongly recommend it, we happened to be in town for an occasion and decided to drop by after settling in. We had no reservation, and this seems like a place where they would be preferred, but they greeted us warmly and took us in immediately. I got some pasta and my girlfriend got spiced chicken, and both of our dishes were out of this world 😍 you can tell the cooks and servers and the chef really care about the taste of their food and the presentation of their food. The desert was exceptional as well. 10/10 would go again!

A wonderful restaurant!! The food was very tasty. We started with the burrata appetizer. My wife enjoyed the roasted chicken, and my son and I enjoyed the beet vegetarian rissoto. It was so good. Our server was Esther. She was delightful, and provided us with outstanding friendly service.

I've been to this restaurant multiple times - always outstanding. Interesting dishes, unique combinations and a wonderfully, casual and classy atmosphere. I enjoyed the pan fried eggplant with sweet chili sauce so much, i came home and tried to prepare it (my version was nothing like Cafe La Haye :( Highly recommend a visit.

The menu choices and base ingredients here are delicious. Quite possibly the most perfectly cooked scallops I have ever enjoyed. Unfortunately this dish along with the others we had were overshadowed by far too much salt. Salt cooked in, salt in the trimmings and salt sprinkled on top to boot. Same for the fettucine: perfect texture and flavor in the base pasta, but just surrounded by salt. Nice wine selection, great service and fun atmosphere. We will try again.

Where do I start... We made a 430 reservation. When we arrived a walk in party was sat before us, I overheard the hostesses saying that many 430 reservations had not shown up, but they were still struggling it seemed. They made us wait in the empty lobby, and eventually sat us in the lounge/bar area instead of the actual dining room. So, the bartender was our server. While he did his best, it just wasn't the level of service you normally get from a seasoned waiter on a Saturday evening. The food... While the presentation was nice enough, my husband's seafood paella was hugely lacking flavor, salmon skin was mushy, and the rice was burnt to the pan. The entire dish was dry and boring to put it simply. I ordered rack of lamb, which had decent enough flavor, but was tough and chewy. The steamed mussels were overwhelmed with onion and otherwise tasteless. The tuna tartar was good, but not amazing. The best thing about this place was the wine and bread (albeit both overpriced). Don't get me wrong, I will drop a few hundred dollars on a dinner that's worth it, but not here, again, ever.

I do not have the words to accurately describe this experience except for WOW. The building is immaculate and everything to the eye is very pleasing. Amazingly as well was they were crowded, the rooms open, the restaurant bustling and you felt like you were the only customer. The hostess was engaging and very pleasant and our server Duff (Ask for him) was everything you could ever want, knowledgeable, humorous and professional. With all due respect to my Texas roots, the Pork Belly here was the best I’ve had and it even came with Prawns. I don’t know if you’ve heard me say I’d eat Cod instead of Salmon, but the one last night my Danville cousin and his wife chose is making me rethink my likes. My East Coast cousin chose the Short Rib which was perfectly cooked, full of flavor and extremely comforting. My Paella can only be described as breathtaking. Full of flavors from the sea with salmon, shrimp, squid, mussels and some of the best chorizo I’ve ever tasted, it was perfect. The wine selection was to die for and the brown butter old fashioned is my new favorite drink. Give this place your business when you are out that way, you won’t be disappointed.

Nice restaurant in the heart of Sonoma. The decor is modern with a very french open feel making it great for couples or large groups. They have 2 large share tables down the centre which would be great for groups or just sharing with others. I would have to say the starters were fantastic. The Pork Belly was excellent and the Roasted Maitake mushrooms were wondrous. So meaty and done to perfection. While in Sonoma stop in.

Breakfast was good and setting elegant. Several rooms (dining room with open kitchen, outdoor seating in courtyard, nice wine tasting room on corner with diner seating, and then bar area too. Food was tasty and attractively presented. Service was a bit gruff and surly but maybe they didn’t have their coffee yet (we were there at 9:45 am, just a little while after they opened). Otherwise was good.

Great place to eat when in Sonoma. They offer awesome seafood entrées as well as great bar food choices. Also they're alcoholics and non alcoholic menu is superb. The servers are completely top notch , gotta come back to visit.

Overall a great place to have a nice dinner. The portions were pretty big, so the prices were actually pretty reasonable overall. The octopus was amazing, and so was the short rib! Also enjoyed the brussel sprouts and mussels. The blue cheese olive vodka martini was also killer.

We recently visited El Dorado while visiting town on vacation. The atmosphere of the restaurant was phenomenal, a little loud but nothing that interrupted our dining experience. Our wine and drinks arrived promptly followed by the beef carpaccio which were both good. We loved the open kitchen concept for a fun experience while waiting for dinner. We waited about 40 minutes for entrees which busyness considered was not long at all! We ordered the mussels, the fried chicken, the paella and the risotto with salmon. Each of our meals was lovely and made for a great finish to our night. My only food complaint was the paella rice was extremely crispy, but the overall flavor of the dish was exquisite. A nice place to enjoy a relaxed dinner with friends and family.

Some of the best food I’ve ever eaten. We’ve been lots of places, but this was in our top 5 best. The paella was INCREDIBLE. Amazing flavor and texture, and they made everything Gluten free and dairy free for me! It was still the best dishes we’d had in a long time. Fun cocktail options too. We will go back.

My husband and I honeymooned around Northern California in search of beautiful views in nature and delicious eats. Let me tell you El Dorado did not disappoint. The beef carpaccio was a tasty appetizer to start our dinner! The service was incredible and the staff is so attentive. I don’t need to say more about the entrees… just look at the photos and go there yourself to find out. 10/10 would return.

We had a great evening at El Dorado Kitchen. Our food was really good, the Paella is not authentic to the Spanish version, you probably would expect that anyway, but it was worth every penny and it is the signature dish of this restaurant. Hank was a very attentive waiter and fun as well. We enjoyed it a lot, thanks again.

We came here for dinner tonight for the first night of our honeymoon-everything was superb. The atmosphere is romantic, even the lighting is pleasant. We sat at the bar and the two gentleman who helped us were phenomenal! Super attentive and great service. The food was delicious, especially the focaccia and cornbread. And the drinks were 10/10. Would absolutely return!!

Luis took great care of us. Thank you. Amazing food, great service and outstanding menu. We love all the dishes we ordered but… The mussels were uniquely prepared and the added serrano pepper slices gave it an unexpected kick. The paella was loaded with seafood cook to perfection and the rice has a beautiful and crunchy crust. The pasta, fresh salad and chicken sandwich weren’t as surprising next to the mussels and the paella. Overall a great birthday lunch

A Sonoma wine country must visit for culinary delight. What a menu! What to choose? It’s all so gourmet and delicious. This butternut squash soup was divine and so was everything we had. Very pricey, but you expect that with the amount of ingredients perfection you get from each entree.

EDK (as the locals call it) was delicious. Had tuna Poke Bowl, vegetable risotto, tostada, and shared truffle fries. Definitely would recommend, for a great time to whilevisiting wine country.

El Dorado Kitchen is a must visit in Sonoma. Their food is made with fresh ingredients, heartily prepared, and isn't just about show and display. The style of cooking isn't ostensible and focuses on bringing out a home-style flavor, presented in a delightful way. The truffle fries are wonderful and so were the tuna tacos. The food can come across slightly bland but with the wine, all fit perfectly well. The salad was marvelously balanced with soft Brussel sprouts, cheese, and pomegranates. This salad is extremely difficult to get the balance right as the ingredients as well as the vinegarette can fight with each other. It is absolutely clear they take extreme care in their preparation. The highlight was the salmon served with butternut squash puree. The salmon was perfectly cooked with pink insides but the "blandness" of the fish was perfectly compensated with the pseudo sweet puree. It was a great harmony of soft, salty, and sweet, all gently mingling. If you are in downtown Sonoma, El Dorado Kitchen is a must. Will return!

Beautiful spot for breakfast or brunch. The chilaquiles were the best I've had, seriously. The French toast with fruit was incredible, warm, fluffy, but also a fine crust on the outside. Highly recommended

If you want to experience Italy without travelling to Europe visit this quant and beautiful restaurant. The whole city is amazing but this restaurant captures Italy perfectly. The food was amazing and the Ambiance was intoxicating. The staff was absolutely superb and the Italian owner still seats and served people and he is an absolute delight. I highly highly recommend.

I had an absolutely wonderful experience at this restaurant. Not only was the service impeccable and the staff incredibly attentive, but the food was also outstanding. The food was good. The ambience was okay. The seating arrangement felt a little cramped. I ordered linguini Al pesto. The quantity was perfect. I felt it was a little oily and I would personally prefer some olives or a side of olives for the dish.

We've been here many times before, so perhaps an off night or different staff in the kitchen... No idea. For dinner I ordered the rotisserie duck with wild rice risotto. The duck tasted deep fried and was well over cooked and the risotto was just a pile of wild rice. I hope to come back again, but tonight the food was so far off from the normal I've come to expect when dining here. 2 stars because I know they can do better.

Overall was a pretty bad experience for both food and service. Would absolutely not recommend. We had a dinner reservation for a special occasion and this restaurant was absolutely disappointing in all fronts. Food: The food we received was all either incredibly bland or overcooked. I got the rabbit and the sauce was good, but the meat was dryly cooked (likely boiled)and largely padded with sausages and vegetables to decrease how much actual rabbit was used. For the price point, definitely far from worth it. In both taste, texture, and quantity they were definitely lacking. Service: Our server was incredibly rushed even though the place wasn't that full. When we asked for one appetizer they kept insisting we get another, even though we asked for one twice. When we got the appetizers, it was clear we only needed one. Water was never refilled and plates were taken before we were done without being asked. This place also charges for credit card usage despite the bill coming out to $45+ per person on average. Atmosphere: Literally the only good thing. The atmosphere is very cute and it feels like you're sitting outside in a garden despite being inside.

Great spot in Sonoma. We got the tortellini and the penne contadina for our mains, which we enjoyed. Our starter was ok, but wish it could've had a little more mozzarella. We shared the chocolate tart, which was rich. Liked it, but didn't enjoy the cherry sauce with it. Our server didn't seem to know much about wine pairings and it was nice of her to give us complimentary wine at the end. She said it was moscato, but didn't taste like moscato at all because it was not sweet. Highly recommend the pasta.

We came with our family to Sonoma and stopped by this delightfull restaurant. The food was excellent, the owner was very attentive to every detail and the service was outstanding. If you want to taste real italian food at a very cousy atmosphere this is the best place. We really enjoy our stay and definetly will come back.

Hands down our favorite meal in Sonoma! Visiting from Oregon and stopped in with a larger group for late lunch and were blown away by the service, the atmosphere, the owner, and the FOOD. Every single dish was fresh, flavorful and clearly cooked with intention. The owner brought out his grandmas gnocchi and we all agreed we’d never tasted anything so good in our lives. If you’re visiting Sonoma you MUST add this to your list! Thank you for the wonderful meal and hospitality!

We arrived for an 8pm reservation at 7:50pm and the host was very short with us and said that we were early and to come back at our actual time. We had no problem waiting for our time but we were taken aback by his tome. We then sat down and our one vegetarian guest asked 1-2 questions about a dish and the waiter very rudely and abruptly said “this is not Olive Garden. You can’t make your own pasta”. We told the waiter that his response was rude and my elderly aunt just wanted to know if there was a dish that had vegetables in it. Hr apologized but those two interactions set the tone for the night. The food is average (Cafe La Haye and Girl and the Fig are way better) and not really worth it.

I can't say enough about how wonderful our visit was. We didn't have much time because of our shuttle schedule so we told the host. They quickly sat us & gave recommendations as we picked our meals to ensure we left on schedule. The tortellini was super fresh & flavorful. The Turkey sandwhich was surprisingly upscale.... it had a lot of meat on fresh bread. Staff quickly refilled out drinks & was super attentive. I can't think of a single thing that wasn't perfect other than we couldn't stay longer in their beautiful private patio.

Had my birthday dinner here. Enjoyed the duck and special mushrooms and polenta. Fantastic

I have family that live in Sonoma and every time I visit we have a wonderful meal in this authentic locally owned Italian restaurant. It is always memorable with both great food and personal service. The owners are usually there mingling with their guests and making you feel welcome. If you let them make suggestions from the menu you won’t be disappointed. This is a great choice to experience a taste of Tuscany without leaving the states. Be sure to give yourself time to relax and enjoy their Italian hospitality.

The food was good but we had to wait a long time in between dishes. I like the devil eggs and mussels the most. We also had the ceviche, which seems really popular. I overheard many tables ordered it. It was okay but I don't think salmon is a good fit for ceviche.

Wowza. Tasty food. Friendly service on the Sonoma Plaza Square. Came here after a day wine tasting. So good. We enjoyed the delicious braised short ribs, and the shrimp with grits. Perfect. Cute bar and restaurant bwith rustic/modern decor. there weren't that many people here at 4:30. But. Not surprised. I'm sure it gets busy later. We look forward to coming here again.

Wow. For some reason I am perpetually let down by highly rated restaurants, but this place not only lived up to its reviews, but blew me away. Unassuming from its outside appeal, this place wowed me from the first bite to the last. The seafood bouillabaisse was to. die. for. Fresh halibut, shrimp, clams and mussels, and you didn’t even need bread, it was incredible. Great cocktails, laid back atmosphere, and quick service were at a discount. Definitely make a reservation and sit out back if the weather is nice too!

What a delicious restaurant. It's right on the plaza and has a relaxed atmosphere with friendly staff and fantastic food. Elevated comfort food. The deviled eggs (topped with crab) were soooo great. And do not miss the moroccan salmon: amazing seasonings and flavors for the perfectly done salmon.

This restaurant was the perfect combination of casual and excellent food! We enjoyed raw oysters, deviled eggs, and Moroccan spiced salmon. For dessert the butterscotch pot de creme was great. The place looks casual, but the food isn't your standard burger. The table next to us ordered the burger - it was 8"+ high. Looked amazing. Go here for a wonderful meal that is excellent quality, without being stuffy. The staff told us they are opening a wine bar next door soon - can't wait to come back and experience that!

Although the menu is small, it is full of tasty choices. My wife and I split a humus plate and a chicken sandwich. Both were excellent. The only criticism I had was a lack of vegetarian options.

Absolutely amazing. Beautiful entrance and feel. Even without reservations we were quickly seated. I highly suggest reservations though. Staff was amazing. Kind and super attentive. The food! Don’t get me started. Everything they brought out was out of this word. From the bruschetta, to rockefeller oysters, and finally out entree. Everything was spot on. Thank you for making an amazing date night even better.

Sat in the patio with our dogs which was a nice option. Very laid back. Had the mussels in the coconut Thai basil curry broth with bread which was so good I actually had the left over broth packed up to bring home. The deviled eggs with crab amd curry were also super nice.

Oso won me over with its cozy atmosphere and friendly staff. The Braised short ribs plate was a highlight, and the Banshee glass of wine was a perfect pairing. Whether for a romantic date or a quick bite with friends, Oso is my new go-to spot in Sonoma!

We LOVE this place….it would be a destination in itself if we weren’t up here every few months anyway! The mussels are my husband’s absolute favorite and I love the seasonal changes to the burrata appetizer…. The blood orange margarita is amazing too! The past five years we’ve been coming, the owner and chef has been here every time, along with several of the waiters/bartenders, (Steven is great!!) which says a lot! Looking forward to our next trip to Oso!

Sat at the bar here and had a great time watching the magic of food being made. Atmosphere and vibe is great. Service can be a little slow due to being so busy. Overall food was decent. Our appetizers were great - definitely recommend the burrata and baked oysters. The special of the day was a seafood stew, it was pretty delicious but just way salty. The shrimp tacos on the other hand were missing a hint of something that would complete the taste. My friend said the chicken sandwich was okay. Overall good experience.

We visited OSO for dinner while in town for our anniversary. Food and service was excellent! We ordered the Ceviche and Seared Rib Eye for two, plus a couple cocktails. Plenty of food for two. Ceviche was very good. Rib Eye was cooked perfect (ordeerd medium rare), potatoes were crispy and super good. The two of us were not able to finish the dish, but that didn't stop us from trying! Only non positive feedback is the two-top tables are very small.

Salmon was friggen awesome! The Ahi is spectacular! The Oysters Rockefeller are amazing! The Happy Hour Tacos are killer!

The bread and flavored butter alone are worth going for. We all kept remarking on how incredible the devilled eggs were. I had the green goddess salad and it did not disappoint — the dressing was fantastic — and everyone in my group was similarly happy with their meal. In short: you will do yourself a disservice if you go to Sonoma and don’t make time to go here.

The best meal we had in Sonoma! Excellent service and food. We ordered the cod cakes and kale salad to start, the fisherman’s stew and pork&clams for our main course, and the “traditional” dessert. Everything was phenomenonal.

Delicious experience! My expectations were very well managed when we arrived at this place and I was positively surprised. For a place that far away from Portugal, they absolutely nailed it. I have tried Portuguese cuisine before and when done well, it’s absolutely delicious. This place has an amazing team and management behind it and we (a party of 4) got an amazing meal. Every single dish you see on this review was spot on, well cooked, immaculate presentation and delicious taste (I tried them all from my friends🤪) all delivered with the maximum care and customer service attention. Not that common that I go all the way to Sonoma, but I will make sure that if there next time, I will definitely try this place for dinner. Well done guys!

A hidden gem tucked away, down an alley, past one of the many art galleries around Sonoma Plaza. Definitely would recommend asking about any daily specials. This time, they had stuffed whole sea bass, bones and all, along with oysters from Hawaii. While the only carbs for the fish were fingerling potatoes, they were wonderful as they sat under the fish, soaking the flavors, but still retaining form as they were skin on. The sea bass had traditional Mediterranean flavors that you'd expect from Portugal, strong salty presence, but spiced gently. Cooked beautifully and well worth returning back into the kitchen as a skeleton. Would recommend the traditional dessert option as it had variety in a multitude of factors. Cold and creamy treats, cakes rolls soaked in syrup, preserved fruit, rice pudding. Ironic that it's so easily shareable, but my greedy appetite would never allow for that.

The food here is spectacular! I was surprised I had not heard of this place, and the attention to detail in the spices and presentation was perfection. The scallops were the best scallops I have had, and I’m very hard to please. The Portuguese stew in this photo was finger licking good. My mom would always tell me you can tell if a restaurant is going to be special, if their homemade bread and soup is good, and their home made bread was! Thank you to the chef who designed this menu, as my dad and I are still licking our chops!

Fantastic! I read Chef Manuel opened this place with his mom over 20 years ago and I can see why this place has flourished. Everything we ordered from the pan seared scallops and pork belly starters to the pork shoulder and clams entree were all cooked to perfection and the flavors......amazing. Our desert "The Tradional" included a variety of Portuguese samples from rice pudding to an almond ice cream sandwich. The atmosphere is cozy and romantic and the staff is so friendly and attentive. Don't pass this place up!

We had no idea where to go but found this place thanks to all the good reviews. Wow, it was delicious! Best dishes were the whole roasted branzino (a special), the scallops which were cooked perfectly and the Portuguese Mac and cheese.

it was my first time and I was absolutely delighted by the entire meal and overall experience! Starting with the freshly baked bread, amazing Bolinho de Bacalhau, Caldo Verde, Bacalhau as the main entre, a delicious dessert with chocolate mousse, hazelnut ice cream, coffee and a coconut, pineapple and cashew brigadeiro, seriously? everything was amazing and the service professional and perfect! i can’t wait to go back!

Did a Dinner of Appetizers. Couldn’t decide on just one or two. Everything was Delicious!! The softest octopus I have ever had … scallops melted in your mouth …sardines nicely charred and flavorful…croquettes soft on inside and crunchy on out …-and heirloom tomato salad was Devine with hummus and olives with balsamic and olive oil. Everything was delicious and service was great !! A must when in Sonoma !!

We all loved LaSalette, it was slightly different from some of the Portuguese food we are used to eating in South Africa but excellent! They have a wonderful menu of starters, mains, desserts and Portuguese wines and ports as well as local wines. We had a vino verde, alvarino, Cod Cakes, the Caldo Verde soup, seasonal veggies and Pork & Clams, and topped off a delicious meal with the fruit dessert which had pears poached in port and passion fruit mousse mmmm so delicious. Everything was homemade, the service was top notch (better than the awful service at our so called 5 star hotel), we got lots of little free tasties from the chef, and the setting was so cozy and warm, you can even sit outside on the patio and enjoy their beautiful fairy lit trees.

High end quality cuisine, everyone enjoyed the dishes we ordered. The place is cozy and has beautiful secluded outside areas. It is indeed one of the best places to eat in Sonoma.

The caldeirada dish was delicious ! I was so happy in trying the food from chef Manuel Azevedo ! For sure I’m coming back and as a Brazilian I could taste and see the roots of our culture in some ways over there too :)

Being Brazilian of Portuguese descent and a good cook, my expectations were managed. I didn't check reviews or saw photos but took a look at their menu outside and had to try their Portuguese dishes. The cod fritters bolinhos de bacalhau were authentic and delicious. It's hard to make them and find descent salted cod. The wine flights, white port wine, desserts and the whole dining experience were fantastic. These days most restaurants are very expensive with mediocre or just ok food. La Salette made me believe in great food again. The flavors kept building up and surprised us. We're coming back soon.

Elegant and classy experience!!! We came here to celebrate our anniversary on a Friday night. The staff greeted us kindly and seated us, and brought a complimentary glass of bubbly. Each dish we ordered was top notch... Oysters, scallops, octopus, Branzino, and Caldeirada. The service was so thoughtful. We could not have asked for a better anniversary dinner.

Refreshing to see quality food, cooked traditionally and respecting the product. Sardines were very good. Scallops were fun. Keep up the good work.

My husband and I are in Sonoma a few times a year. We have been to almost every great restaurant in the nearby area. We wanted to try Wit and Wisdom for a while but something was always holding us back. We decided to go there and sit at the bar before doing a full dinner because we heard they had great pizza. The bartender was very nice but told us they could not make the pizza until 5pm (we got there around 3:40pm) we ordered a few drinks and some snacks to wait the pizza out. The duck wings were solid. At about 4:20pm we saw the chef making some pizzas and we asked about it. The server said they were for the chef to test out. A few minutes later they were served to the table right behind us that had just sat down. The excuse was that the table was en route to the airport. They also screwed up our check. We felt that our business was not at all valued. It ruined our evening and we will not be back.

Did the Christmas prefix. Phenomenal experience. Every course was 10/10 in taste. Especially the pot roast and crepe cake. Drinks were great. Staff was friendly. Will be seeking our Chef Mina’s other restaurants.

A great dining experience. Started off with the grilled octopus and duck wings, both excellent. For the main course we had the salmon and ahi tuna. Again beautiful prepared and served. We opted to stay with water as our drink as the wine seemed to be a bit pricey for us.

Found our new favorite restaurant in Sonoma. Wit and Wisdom hit every mark with a score of 10. Atmosphere, Cocktail's, Food and Presentation. But the top score (which I would give a 10++++), goes to our server Myra. From the minute she greeted our table with her beautiful smile, we knew we were in for an extraordinary evening we immediately felt like family and long time returning guest, even though it was our first experience there. Myra’s knowledge of the menu, wines and cocktails was superb and all of her suggestions were winners, right down to the finale, exquisite dessert. I highly recommend the experience at Wit and Wisdom and don’t forget, when you make your reservation to ask for Myra’s station.

We ate here our first night in Sonoma. I absolutely loved this experience. Our server, Shelly was phenomenal. Incredibly knowledgeable about the food & the wine. The salmon I had was delectable. The wine was also outstanding. The dessert was such a fun treat. Definitely would recommend!

A total gem, located on the outskirts of Sonoma. You can't go wrong with literally anything on this menu. The dough on any of their wood fire pizzas is to die for. And the crab ceaser is a MUST! The lobster pot pie is a fun treat if you're feeling adventurous and the duck fat fries are heavenly. (That pickle ketchup...are you kidding me?!?! 🤤) And to top it all off, the service the Wit and Wisdom team gives is above and beyond. Run, don't walk to this spot. 💛

Went during Restaurant Week. It seemed like they were short three wait staff. Had a 6:30 reservation left after 3 and 1/2 hours. Food was delicious. The non Restaurant Week food items seem to be a little high-priced. Overall it was good but not excellent. I would love to come back when it's fully staffed and get the full experience.

Great ambiance, decor, and service. Food presentation was decent. But taste left something to be desired. Had the Short ribs Cavaletti. Small portion. Not worth the $38 dollars. $17 dollar Life in a Hammock cocktail was glorified gin and citrus juice. The butternut squash pizza was decent! Again not worth the price point however. The lobster potpie seems to be the signature item. Maybe I'd return only to try that and review again. Otherwise there are better options in town for fancy ambiance with tastier selections.

Always spectacular food and service each time. Design or restaurant is superb also. What a well run operation. Looking forward to returning again!

I really liked the place, and had some tasty food here. Service was really high quality, and I thought the display of the baked cheese was super cool! I also really liked the presentation and taste of the wedge salad.

Went for news years dinner. go with regular menu and not holiday pre fix course. Caesar salad was unique, very tasty. Steak was good. not exceptional. very pricey. Service was decent given the crowd and holiday. they were friendly. we noticed the manager not acknowledge us despite saying hello to all the tables near us and offering a free extra.

My wife and I totally enjoyed our dinner, server, drinks and the entire staff at Wit and Wisdom. We appreciated how kindly Rory approached our table in lieu of a Sonoma Lodge drink card for our Bonvoy status that we wanted clarification on redeeming. Our server Chi-Chi was awesome, gracious and so accommodating. Earlier this morning I also left a Trip Advisor review giving Kudos to both!

Most amazing meal of the trip to Napa so far!!! 5 stars all around. We did the tasting menu, and our groups favorite bites included the pasta, the duck fat fries, the duck wings, and the candy bar dessert. Everything was cooked to perfection. Top restaurant of our trip so far (and that’s compared to girl and the fig, Bottega, and mustards!)

Food was amazing. Atmosphere at the patio was very cozy. We all took the “Night and the tavern” menu with wine pairing. Definitely go for it. But without oysters, you can get those by the coast for far less and totally fresh. He had our dog with us, and they made sure he had water and was comfortable as well.

The venue was fantastic and the food was exquisite! Only reason was not five stars because the service was not what I would have expected for such a quality establishment. But I don't want to harp on the negative. Going to give it another try this week and see if they can get it to five!

A solid, well-executed Christmas prix fixe menu. We did Christmas Eve dinner and Christmas Day lunch. For dinner - The scallops were succulent and the pork chops were so tasty. The pork was a thick cut and I was worried it wouldn't be cooked through, but I was wrong. The Parker rolls in a small cast iron pan was amazing. The desserts were also good. For breakfast, started with the avocado toast with salmon and bread from Della Fattoria. Entree was the steak and eggs. Hubby got the omelette. Coffee was strong and not overly fruity or acidic. I heard it was from Healdsburg (Wolf?). Loved having the best meals we had this year and definitely the highlight of the holidays. The service was top notch - attentive but not overly fake friendly. I was so impressed by the professionalism of all the staff we encountered during our stay. Please keep it up. We are locals who love to support Sonoma County businesses and happy to see when it's done well.

If you're looking for a quick bite to eat before a spa day in this hotel (McAurther Place), then this is the place to go! We were here for a bachelorette and decided to go to Layla for lunch. The ambience of this place was so relaxing and made you feel "zen" as you walked straight towards the restaurant. We were seated in the outdoor area by a nice big table for the six of us to comfortably sit near each other. Since we were in Napa, it's only natural that we order a bottle of wine so we decided to get a bottle of their rosé to share and cheer to celebrate (as we talked and shed tears about our favorite thing about the bride-to-be, haha). For appetizers, we ordered the garlic fries and patatas bravas (aka really good hash browns and sauce). As for entreé, i tried their steak frites, which tasted so amazing with the herbed butter. Overall, i highly recommend this place not only for the food, but the ambience and look & feel of the place as well!

Had a lovely brunch here. We sat on the patio next to the fountain, which made for a lovely setting. Mingma was our server and she was delightful, very attentive but never made us feel rushed. Excellent coffee, I love that they froth the creamer. Best fruit bowl I’ve ever had, hands down. The avocado toast with the smoked salmon was perfection. My husband loved the short rib hash. Great time, looking forward to coming again!

Michael made our first dinner as newlyweds incredibly special. We were sat on their beautiful patio (plenty of heaters!!) and enjoyed amazing food nearby the serene water feature. The food was not only carefully constructed, but plated with ornamental flowers from the Macarthur grounds. Chatting with Michael confirms that each staff member has been thoughtfully chosen to create a bond with guests over a shared passion for the culinary!

Recommend the salmon tartare. Loved the presentation for that one. Overall the meal was good but not amazing! At the prices they’re charging I would expect a little bit more. Our server, Sydney was attentive and answered all of our questions. I tried the fusilli with rabbit. It was a homey dish with a warm light broth.

I thought I had brunch reservations only to find out I had thought it was a weekend and not a Friday. The menu is minimal. I had the falafel burger but wasn't entirely impressed. It was dry and the bun didn't sit well with me. The salmon was cooked well with a good amount of flavor. The waitress gave us someone else's bill but luckily was able to catch it before we left.

I really liked my Lobster roll! My friends got the pancakes, burger, and short rib hash which were good but average per them. Cute patio. The staff took more than 20 mins to cone over when we first got seated but after that they were very attentive.

Book my stay at MacArthur Park for my birthday and made reservations at Layla as I’ve been wanting to try. I was NOT disappointed. The service was top notch and the food was perfectly plated and so clean. Portions were perfect and wine was outstanding. We went back in for breakfast and once again everything was over the top as well. This is one restaurant/ hotel we will be coming back too!!! Thanks MacArthur Park for a wonderful birthday weekend!

Love this place. There was complementary Valet parking which I absolutely loved. The staff was incredible. Margaux was our waitress and she was attentive, absolutely incredible and CUTE! Ashley the pastry chef came out to personally serve us our dessert and came out again to ask us how it tasted. It made us feel really special! The bartender from Scotland was so fun to chat with and the ambience of the entire venue was perfect. I couldn't have asked for a better experience and I cannot wait to come back!

This was an amazing place to eat, one of my favorites in recent memory. The back patio was so pretty with lots of plants, nice lights and a great design. They took really good care of us, and our food arrived in just the right amount of time. The herbed bread was yummy, but we absolutely loved the pumpkin tart. It was incredibly good. We also tried the pasta and fish, and both were great. We would definitely order them again. I would strongly suggest this place! Layla was the perfect spot for our brunch. Here's why it was so good: -It's in Sonoma, just 20 minutes from the center of Napa. -It wasn't too busy! -They have parking help -They let you bring your dog -The food is really good -The people who work there are really nice -The place looks beautiful -We're planning to come back soon!

Awful service. Disgusting inedible entree. We were a group of 10 which between appetizers, entrees, desserts, coffee drinks, two different bottles of wines plus hard liquor drinks that equates to a very very generous bill. My dish, the tortellini, was disgusting and absolutely unappetizing. I ate one whole tortellini and couldn’t bring myself to finish the rest of the dish. It was awful. I’m not sure where the waiter’s head was but he didn’t bother to ask or remedy the situation by offering a replacement or asking what was wrong. And it was very obvious this plate wasn’t being touched. The fact that he also charged our party for a plate that was untouched is inexcusable, insulting and demonstrates the poorest and lowest form of Customer service. I would never expect this type of behavior or treatment from a restaurant that considers itself fine dining. I would be embarrassed if I were the owner/management/chef of this establishment, and this was the type of representation and treatment being shown towards customers paying $$$$$.

Elegant restaurant setting in stunning MacArthur Place resort. Attractive room with high ceiling and two sides of glass. Outdoor seating on two levels one with gentle waterfall fountain. Very nice. Serene in the lovely backyard of resort hotel away from street. Food was great, coffee good, and service friendly and attentive.

Food was excellent and the service was wonderful! But was very, very warm on the patio outside with the overhead heaters on even though it was perfectly comfortable outside and they weren’t necessary.

Had a nice solo supper here sitting at the bar. A few things to note: 1. Order what you want up front. If you go to order another single dish later, it will be at a higher price, which is neither disclosed on the menu or by the server (in my case, I was told specifically ‘you can always add on another if you want more.’) 2. Everything I had, I’d eat again except for dessert. Here’s what I had - pickled veg (cauliflower with thin slices of carrot and celery. Very crisp but great flavor. Loved it more than I expected) - crab empanadas. Comes with two small cookie sized empanadas and some dipping shmear. These were quite good. I wished for two more. Breadcrumb outside, which was more croquette than empanada though there was pastry under? Who knows, it was good. But small. - duck breast. Best thing I’ve eaten in months. Chilled, well smoked, nice glaze, made a little open faced sammie with the Dijon and bread it comes with. Would have ordered this in an entree size. Holy yum. - linguica Mac and cheese. Not spicy, definitely tastes of linguica though only a few small pieces. Not super cheesy or heavy, which I appreciated. Would also eat this again, more than once. - chocolate tart. Skip it. It’s a weak excuse for a tart shell with average chocolate ganache and a sprinkle of sea salt. Completely underwhelming. - olive oil ice cream. Drizzled with olive oil and sea salt. I did enjoy this, but for the same cost I’d take any of the savory choices again instead. Staff was attentive and friendly, ambiance was nice with Fado playing in the background. I loved that. Try a white port and tonic, if you’ve been to Portugal you know that’s legit. On a Tuesday night I made reservations but didn’t really need it. While busy, it wasn’t packed. I imagine weekends would be.

My Wife and I had a great time as first-timers at this cool, quaint restaurant! First off Kimberly was so on-point and helped to adjust our reservations TWICE due to us running late. Andreas and another young lady were the best hosts! The food was good, background music was timely, and we can't wait to return! God bless!

We went here because they had a very interesting wine list. Portuguese wines that are not very common. We were hoping to learn more about the wines and get some guidance on tastings (they sell 3 ounces pours which is great). Unfortunately our server did not drink wine and could not add any value to this experience. The food was fine. But the tv playing football destroyed any ambiance the venue might have had.

The way Tapas should be! Incredibly delicious. We got Mendonca Cheese on Full Circle Bread (delicious), Dungeness Crab Empadas (yummy), Raw Oysters (ok), Smoked Duck Breast (tasty), Escargot (snail) and for drinks a flight of red wine (3 taste testing reds) and a flight of port (3 taste testing). Overall it was super delicious and we thoroughly enjoyed the food and drinks. They also gave us complimentary snacks pre and post meals. The price is great for all you get as well. I highly recommend coming here!

This place is absolutely AMAZING. The tapas was fabulous and the service was very commendable. We got the crab empanadas, the squid salad, Perri Perri potatoes, steak tartare, striped bass ceviche, Portuguese flan, Olive oil ice cream and a few Quinas beers (thirsty from a trail run before this) The food was not heavy and I left a very happy diner. Highly recommend and I will be back to try out the other pork tapas they have.

This place was absolutely excellent! We ordered almost everything on the menu and it was all fantastic. It was reasonably priced as well. We split about 21 small plates among 4 people with drinks and it was less that $100 per/person. A few highlights included: the cheese medley, the duck breast, and the steak tartare. I would reorder everything though. My only suggestion for improvement would be that the servers weren't very knowledgeable about the menu.

Great food. Won’t split checks. I was traveling with a friend who needed his own itemized receipt to submit for a work expense. They initially refused to split checks, citing their “policy.” In 2023, with the breadth of POS systems out there, it is not difficult for restaurants to split checks. Eventually they relented, but it set a poor tone for the evening. Service was otherwise pleasant (though not effusively amazing). Food was very good, though not every dish was a bit. It was enjoyable to try a number of different items and share them with friends. Their Portuguese red wine selection was very good (I prefer Portuguese reds to ports). Enjoyable evening and worth a stop, but I wouldn’t say it’s a destination-worthy restaurant.

Portuguese tapas restaurant in core downtown Sonoma. Highly recommend making a reservation -- we went on a Friday night and it was fairly packed. They have tapas in sets of 3, 5, or 7 and you can choose from anything on their menu. We shared 7 and were feeling decently full by the end. If you're hungry, I'd recommend ordering more, since the portions are fairly small. The goat stew and tripe were our favorites, with the smoked duck breast coming in a close second. The fried pig ears were a tad sweet and the escargot was a bit too salty. Overall, a good place to try out for small bites.

Came by for a good lunch and this place did not disappoint! Great ambiance and a nice variety of food with our favorites: smoked duck breast, Portuguese Mac and cheese and kale salad. It's a fun space with a bunch of kitchey decorations and friendly staff. Worth a visit!

Best date night we have had in a great while. We had the opportunity to talk and leisurely sample 7 wonderful dishes.

1st time eating tapas. It was kind of different for me. The food was delicious. We went when they weren't that busy, so the server was very attentive. I would recommend going there and checking them out!

I am so fond of this place! The food is delicious, the interior is unpretentious and simple, waiters are friendly and helpful. What else can I say! Just check it out and you will be as charmed as I was. I absolutely recommend a cauliflower soup, it’s so creamy and delightful! Duck breast was awesome too, however I’d love to see more pickles to go with it. Mac and cheese was just right, salt cod was really salty, I’d not order this guys if I knew beforehand, otherwise everything was very good, really. I like the friendly atmosphere of the restaurant- people next to my table were joking about me taking pictures of everything, it felt comfortable and amicable. And that is exactly how you want to feel after a long day.

I had the pleasure of dining her with a group of friends. The food was delicious, and our server Peter couldn’t have been friendlier. He was very attentive and thoroughly answered Al our questions about the menu. A great place to try something new, and share “family style” if you have other diners.

The experience of varied delightful morsels added up to feel like lots of food. Left full with 5 'plate' option and a glass of wine. All served together. Excellent choices of charcuterie, cheese, proteins and desserts. Squid and escargot cooked to perfection. Bacalhau (like bacaloa) croquettes savory crispy butter, used sauce with ham and bread too. Scallops were my favorite. Friendly staff, knowledgeable on wine recommendations. Accessible bathroom, entrance. no outdoor seating. Park at square and walk around the corner:)

Amazing find in Sonoma, just off the square. This place is unassuming, but authentic. We arrived on a Thursday afternoon at 2, and it was packed. We sat at the bar. This place is pulled straight out of Portugal, it's like an authentic pub in Portugal. Everything is small plates, but they are hearty items. Everything is delicious!! And the wines are all Portuguese as well. You HAVE to visit Tasca Tasca!

Great pub with a good choice of brews and decent cocktails. The grub is typical Irish pub fare along with some healthier California twists incorporated, but I haven't been disappointed yet. Last time, I had the popcorn chicken, and it was very tasty with my Henhouse beer. The pub often features live music on an open-air patio space. I like going as a place to have a pint (or two😉) while the girls shop the plaza.

My husband ordered the fish and chips, I ordered the cheese board. Husband thought the fish and chips were very good. The cheese board was just ok. The service was solid and price was reasonable. Was charged a corkage fee when I served myself wine from the shop next door.

Every time I want a good drink, food, or good music, this is always my 1st choice. Everything is excellent. And beyond that, the staff is absolutely incredible. They make every customer feel like family. They care about everyone and it shows. I applaud the live music and skilled musicians that often play there. The food is always a delight, and who could forget about the wonderful beer selection. If you're in Murphy's, this place is an absolute must visit. I hope you all enjoy it as much as i do.

Food and atmosphere was amazing. Service was good. They advertised a gun fizz as a cocktail but it wasn't a fizz. They said they were changing their cocktail menu the following day, so don't look for that drink when you go. Husband loves the Irish Lamb Stew. My white bean and Kale salad was tasty, however I would have liked more beans in it. The popcorn chicken was my favorite thing we tried. They have a weekly schedule of live music and trivia night. Very fun place!

Great selection of whiskeys and bourbons with a tasting menu. Lots of beer and wine to choose from. Food was tasty and a great price. Live music was great and everyone was dancing. Friendly staff was working hard at keeping the drinks and food coming.

Fantastic pub! Best Irish food I've had since I was in Ireland 6 months ago. The corned beef and cabbage is AMAZING!! Friendly staff, friendly patrons, warm atmosphere. 11/10!!! Can't wait to be back in the area for work and visit again.

The food is always very good, the service great and the staff very friendly. If you get to Sonoma you must visit Murphy’s Irish Pub. You will not be disappointed.

Wow!!! What an excellent experience we had at Murphy’s Irish Pub this weekend. The pasta and fish n chips were excellent! And the Guinness was flowing! Friendly attentive staff that were super nice and knowledgeable.

Great place to have dinner enjoy some music and a drink or two. The workers care and really take care of you

I went here with friends after a show at the theater around the corner. There was live music for a woman's birthday, so it was fun stumbling into that. We danced and had drinks. My friends' food looked very good and I wish I had gotten something other than what I ordered; I ordered the chicken Caesar salad and I do not recommend it - it was $20, and the chicken was dry. A salad should not be $20, no matter how "famous" their chicken is. I will however recommend the fried pickles, because the side of the ranch is a dill divine.

Everything was freshly made, fries were super hot. Burger had juices pouring out, cooked perfectly at medium-well, seasoned beautifully. My apple cider was super cold for tat 85 degrees plus day. Would visit again.

One of my favorite places! Love their Shepherd Pie. The place makes me miss Dublin so bad… I like everything about it - the secluded location makes you feel like you just traveled in space and in time. If you like Irish vibe, just pretend the place is centuries old and enjoy!

Showed up to do a paint night. Ordered food. Two different dishes. Both were really bad. Lacking flavor and quality. The pulled pork tasted like cardboard. Half of one meal was comped. Neither we're eating. Every once a while, the smell of sewage would come through. Our waitress was very friendly. And worked very hard for how busy the restaurant was. It was clear based off of other people's tables that a lot of people don't come here to eat but to drink.

Had a nice time, enjoying the outdoor patio with food, drinks and live music. The shepherds pie was very good and the fish and chips was good but not great.

We really enjoyed ourselves, great service, plenty of IPA beers and craft beers to choose from, and the Irish menu is inticing.
