The Kingscliff Hotel at Holland-on-Sea is simply wonderful. It’s positioned just opposite the beach with lovely views from inside and outside the hotel. The breakfast is plentiful and delicious with a great choice. would highly recommend. The rooms are spacious and very clean. The staff are very friendly.

Our first visit to Shanghai Noir and we both enjoyed it. The menu, whilst limited as is usual for a fixed price meal, had more choice than most and offered the opportunity to share dishes, which we like. The food itself was well presented and tasty with good portion size. Reasonable wine list that wasn’t too ott for a central London restaurant. Service was attentive but not overbearing - overall a great evening out!

The ivy house was good but it need a bit of updating ,Our room needs at lease six small thing doing .The road leading to the hotel is full of pot holes which doesn't the car any good it needs resurfacing .The food is ok but can be a bit dear,The staff are friendly no complaints there .The house keeping needs looking at there was three bits of black on the bathroom floor there for the three days we were there they never got swept up ,The grounds are good with walks to the broads along small pathways .

The vouchers for a half price afternoon tea at Warners Studley Castle gave us an excellent chance for six friends to enjoy themselves. The voucher system was efficient. The tea was brilliant ( including one for gluten free), and the service of the young men who phoned contact the previous day along with the person who served our tea, could not be faulted. Thank you to Travelzoo.

Excellent afternoon tea, including both a sweet and a savoury scone. I was delighted that there was only one chocolate cake in the 3 that were presented. The choice of cake was varied- a lemon drizzle, a delicious syrup cake and a very chocolatey brownie.
The ambience was very relaxed. Would do again.

Reasonable price (2 night B and B offer), room was okay except nowhere to hang towels in the bathroom or outdoor coats in the room.
Restaurant meal and service was fine on the first night but on the second night we gave up waiting to order a dessert.

Very thoughtful staff. Food was very good and worth a Special mention. Rooms roomy and cozy although a little sad at times. All in all, I would definitely recommend a stay at this hotel.

Stayed here using a Travelzoo voucher. £130 for two nights including an afternoon tea. First the positives; 1.great location for visiting National Trust properties 2. Excellent value for money for a budget style hotel. 3. Easy access from the M4. Newly refurbished bedroom including a very comfy bed. The negatives are the bathroom desperately needs attention with taps which are two tight to turn resulting in an inadequate shower/ the facility doesn't appear to have any teaspoons either in the room or in the restaurant/ inadequate heating of the dishes leads to lukewarm food. Despite these niggles we still think it's good value for money 😉😀 second morning, different waitress 👍 found the teaspoons,food hot, great sausage and fried bread😋 would stay again despite crap shower🙄

We had afternoon tea and it was delicious. The staff were professional and very attentive. We sat next to the window so we were able to appreciate the wonderful view as we ate a lovely assortment of savoury and sweet food. Great experience…. We will be going again! 😊

Had a great meal in the most wonderful setting directly overlooking St Paul's Cathedral. Service was excellent and the wine too! Highly recommend this experience. Such great value.

We had a really lovely lunch at the Dean Court Hotel. The choices on the menu were really appealing and the quality of the food was outstanding. The staff were all very helpful and we had a great view overlooking the front entrance to the York Minster.
Thanks to the chef who was an unseen hero.

Beautiful pub with very nice outdoor space. Delicious food, and I’m not easily pleased. Attentive staff. Village deli shop in annexe. Really enjoyed our lunch. We’ll ne coming back soon.

This offer was not a good deal because the bistro was offering same menu for just a £1.50 more. The main course was that anything that contained meat had an added supplement additional to the voucher. So a chicken dish was £3.00 more whilst steak was £6.00 . The steak my husband had was cooked as requested but was exceedingly chewy. Suggesting not good quality meat. As we had an hours journey either way we wouldn't go again for a less than average meal much dearer than expected.

Enjoyed the Shanghai Noir very much, very nice menu, I had Butterfly Prawns 2 but they were very big the waiter said they were from Cornwall, then I had Black Bean chicken, but no bean sprouts as menu stated!!
Desert very nice Mango cream..

A nice welcome fyom the staff . We all ordered the same main course,lamb. Unfortunately one dish was very fatty and only a small portion edible.On telling the staff they dealt with the complaint very well . We will return, it’s our favourite travelzoo restaurant offer

Although the wine tasting was an indoor event, we had a short film about Denbies history, up to the present day.
Our guide was very informative, with a sense of humour thrown in as we walked through the fermenting, processing and bottling areas
We were treated to two sparkling wines to start followed by a white and red all set in the cellar area.
An excellent guided tour
Would highly recommend.
