How to change screen resolution?
« on: October 29, 2013, 08:19:02 pm »

How do i change my screen res to go from windowed mode to full screen? And I normally run my games at 1920x1080 and was wondering if the icons from the tile sites that come with Lazy Newb Pack would be to small and if so what resolution is best to run DF in? Thanks...

You can zoom in and out using the mouse wheel (which only manages to make the tiles bigger/smaller), but I don't know how to get it fullscreen. Try F11. That works with some programs.

Also note, I use that resolution with DF, which is actually great because you can get all menus onto the screen without losing a lot of screen real estate. No need to get rid of the map or key inputs, no siree.

In my own personal opinion, windowed mode works better. That way, when I'm switching to therapist and the wiki every 18 seconds due to necessity, it doesn't become a hassle to minimize it.

Yea I personally like windowed mode better as I can switch back and forth from the wiki/therapist quickly, and I can see the clock so I don't get sucked in for to long and stay up to late haha. But yea I run it in window/maximized(so I just see the game and the taskbar at the bottom of the screen) on my 1080p screen and can keep both windows open and have plenty of room for the play area :). It defaults pretty small though, so as Mr.McFuzz said just use your mouse wheel to zoom-in a few times.
