This is a tough one to listen too. I bought it because I love Blind Faith, and I hadn't seen anything beyond the studio album from them. I come across this handsome release that I highly suspect is Unofficial, but it is slick and looks nice, so I figure I will give it a shot. Well, although I don't expect much from audio from 1969, it claims to be a radio broadcast so... marginal at best. The main issue, beyond compression of all sound into a narrow bandwidth, Winwood's voice is chronically distorted. Sounds like he is busting the board needles with every note, so you just get that distorted compression that you hear when you top out on equipment that can't handle the highs. If you are a historian or collector who has to have everything by Blind Faith, the hardcover, poster and postcards are really nice, and the songs are great ones, but this recording leaves a ton to be desired.- Edited one year agois this an official release? not very likely IMO, as every other release by this label is marked "unofficial", including variants of this one
- My copy arrived sealed, and is hand numbered on the bottom of the back cover, just below the AVA Editions logo.
