Chime features a free checking account with no minimum deposit requirements and no monthly maintenance or overdraft fees. What separates Chime from most accounts is that it doesn't use ChexSystems when you apply for the account, so if you have a rough banking history, it isn't factored into your eligibility. This makes it a good option if you're looking for a second-chance checking account. Chime also offers its overdraft service called SpotMe, offering qualified account holders the ability to overdraft up to $200 without any fees. However, if you use an ATM outside of Chime's network, you may face a $2.50 fee. Plus, like most online accounts, you can't make cash deposits through an ATM.
