William Schur is the Vice President of Schur Management Co., Ltd., a full service
property management firm specializing in the operation of multi-family and commercial
real estate in the Bronx and Manhattan since 1972. The company manages approximately
2,000 rental apartments almost exclusively in the Borough of the Bronx and also
approximately 750,000 square feet of commercial space in the Bronx, Manhattan and in
Florida. The company is centrally headquartered in the Bronx with main offices on the
Grand Concourse.
Mr. Schur is a graduate of George Washington University and received his Bachelor of
Science degree in Finance in 1987. He became a licensed Real Estate Salesperson
immediately thereafter and subsequently became a Broker in 1992. He has been a Realtor
since 1992.
He became more involved in the Bronx-Manhattan North Association of Realtors activities
when he became a member of the Board of Governors in 1993. In 2000, he was installed as
the Vice president of the Owner-Management Division where he organized seminars and
networking events. In 2001, he became President- Elect of the Association where he
supported the Board President in his duties. He has served on numerous committees and
been supportive of the Board�s causes in many ways including teaching in the Board�s
Educational Institute. Additionally, Mr. Schur serves on the Board of Governors of the
Bronx Realty Advisory Board, a non-profit organization serving the interests of
owner-mangers in the Bronx and is also a member of the Rent Stabilization Association of
New York.
Mr. Schur has been involved in community endeavors in the borough and his firm works
hard to be supportive of affordable housing and re-investment in the community. Recently
he has become involved in assisting a local not-for-profit housing organization in their
pursuits of re-establishing their organization in providing affordable housing in the Bronx.
Mr. Schur has extensive experience in the rehabilitation of both residential and commercial
properties and very knowledgeable in all areas of construction.
